Downton Abbey is such a wonderful series! I'm glad they were all honored by the BAFTA's.
I watch Downton every night as I go to bed. Once I finish, I start over. Oh Mr. Pamuk!
I am so glad that Jullian included the story about the lady following him around Barnes and Noble!!! We have her to Thank for Edith's happy ending.

I binge watched the full 6 series in a week!! Was nearly put off in the 1st episode as I remember Mama ironing The Times for Papa every morning! Gorgeous switch off!
No compensation or accolade can ever be commensurate for the mind-blowing craftmanship and dedication from the crew of this epic show!
Julian should be given a title by the Queen, just for this amazing feat 👏👏👏👏👏
Please let Edith be happy!!!!!
Mom would telephone to remind me to switch the channel to PBS then we would chat about it after. She was already bedridden by that time . I loved it. Something about it reminded me of The Fall of the Eagles.
So miss the influence of the English wit on the culture here in Trinidad and Tobago. This was lost in the1980's

7:15 Absolutely the most stupid questions I've ever heard.
You manage to bring Dan Stevens back after leaving years ago and that's what you ask him?..
Thanks so much!!! :D
The costume designer is literally called Anna lol
Please please keep going for us ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I still couldn't understand how did they managed to act so NATURALLY like they're alone when there were so many staff and equipment surrounding them so closely~
Please bring it back
Very nice.....Thanks..
Dan Stevens was sitting next to his wife
:35 he met her when he was 23 and she was 30!!!
@@mprkg wow she looks so young
I find it disconcerting that Hugh is not wearing coat and tie.
As an American, I find this so odd- the creator of the show kinda doing "stand up" and explaining the series.
It's Lord Julian Fellows.
Give them oldies a chair for stage talk, poor old things
❤
Fuck this is Brideshead Revisited! Jeremy Irons, this is ur baby! 🇮🇪
Siguen debiendo este premio a jeremy brett!!!

I HATED Mary's hair in Season 6. Don't like the straight cut at all with the fringe at the neck. Which she had a marcel wave
She did a little in season 3 and 4 I think
i didn't like Mrs hughes later hair; it went too light and flat.
MummaMia!
Lady wose
Anna is Mary's ladies maid she had the the worst hair next to O'Brien the entire time. No way would she have worn that horrendous hair she had 1924-1926. Anna's wigs were very bad. Why did the Dowager dress like it was 1910 still in 1925?
You never look or dress better than your boss. This is a rule that women learn early. Women who had not been married did not wear their hair down nor did the ladies who were in service as it would be highly impractical and time consuming which they did not have in excess. This is real life reality TV. History brought live.
Obviously the decision to put the dowager in those clothes was made entirely on purpose. You don’t think all the people involved in this show - the costume department, the historical consultant, the writer etc - didn’t know what they were doing? It’s because she’s supposed to be old fashioned and is also, perhaps, an outward manifestation of her not wanting to move with the times.
So you think the Dowager would go shopping with Lady Mary?

People stay in hairstyles that made them fashionable when they were teens and simply never got new hairstyles. That short bob that Lady Mary got to make her contemporary I also got when I was 25 in 1970. It just suited my oval face. At 74, I can't wear it anymore because my hair curls and will not hold the straight lines. So I wear mine now almost like a boy's haircut, short all around except for the top to make me more feminine. But I'm unusual. Most older ladies like my mom and grandmother never followed fashion. They followed what was comfortable.
