Very glad to see this video thank you. I bought an ode 2 and a moccamaster after much research and hand wringing. First few brews were great but since then coffee seems average. I will try this method hopefully this weekend and let you know- what beans I use and how it tastes.
Have you adjusted your grind setting since posting this, or experimented with slight changes. Others have recommended 6-7 for the Moccamaster. Do you make changes for lighter vs darker roast? Thanks!
Hey Chuck! Occasionally, I’ll go closer to 7 if the beans are in the lighter roast style that a lot of the boutique roasters in this area favor. But, for straight down the middle medium roast beans, 8 has been the sweet spot over here.
@@the.dirty.pigeonThanks for responding and I appreciate your feedback. In regards to routine, most busy mornings we just turn the moccamaster on and walk away. But occasionally, I’ll allow the basket to fill maybe 3/4’s with the dripper closed and give it a good stir before opening the dripper. I honestly can’t say if it makes a difference or not though.
@@chuckpardy8530 I think you’re onto something.. When my wife makes the coffee, she doesn’t even measure the beans nor mess with the brewing cycle and I swear it comes out better. Go figure. The wabi sabi method.

I’d enjoyed this video if it wasn’t for clean running water and water from plastic bottle in it. Now that happens every time coffee is made at this household. 😢
@@the.dirty.pigeonHey, I get filtered H2O from fridge. Not bad and less plastic. Still would make a good cup of coffee. Sorry I didn’t mean to be a &itch.
How do you do coffee at home? What's your routine? Let's hear about it.
Love the way you make coffee! ☕️ Afiyet olsun!
Cheers!

Interesting. I’ve been going strong with this setup for over a year with no complaints. Let me know how it goes.

Great video… but you lost me when you added sugar to the cup. It feels like an insult to the coffee!
I know, I know. I’m just a wild man with one hell of a sweet tooth. Thanks for watching!

Ahh! What would you recommend instead? Filtered? I’d love to hear some suggestions.

@@Mslaralah Nice. I’d like to get a good filtration system and stop the plastic bottles soon.
