    I have had mine for 4 months. I have used it to cut Viega aluminum heat transfer plates for a system we added on to, it zipped through that pretty good. I mostly use it to cut drywall. With a template and the vac attachment, keeps the job nice and clean. Only complaint I have heard at all is getting more cutting wheels, mainly metal. To anybody looking for them, harbor freight has 40 and 60 grit cutoff wheels, a pack of 25 for $14.

Unless you are driving 3 1/2” screws or timberlocks all day the 12v platform is a no brainer. With a few 6.0 battery’s I am good all day.....the review is much appreciated.

    This is a tool you didn't know you needed til you got one. I bought the Ridgid cut off and LOVED it very much. A year later I switched all my tools to Milwaukee Fuel (best decision ever) and got the Milwaukee version of the cut off. And am highly disappointed with it, it cuts great but the power difference compared to the Ridgid cut off is staggering. I'd like to see them do an 18v version.

    Nice review! But I feel I need to wait for the next gen. Too many parts look flimsy on this thing. Is the trigger allowing for a certain control of the rpms ? (which by design would be almost inexistant)? Even so, for a tool of the Fuel lineup, it’s inexcusable.

    Saw this at HD and wanted to buy it right away. The Forward/Reverse black and white indicator thing really threw me off though. It looked way too tacky for a Milwaukee tool. This message is not for the tool it is more for the Husky mobile table you have.
    I have the same table but what kind of made it a failure for me is I never could find clamps that fit in the guide or clamp rails and that's what made me switch over to the Worx Pegasus but still kept the Husky table
    Where did you find or get your clamps at.

    • @ctpreddog1411
      @ctpreddog1411 5 лет назад

      Okay I did watch your review on the table and you happen to mention Bessey bar clamps.
      I'll have to check them out it's just that I have tried different bar clamps and had to return every single one of them because the depth of the jaw was too thick or deep to fit into the rail.

    • @ToolReviewZone
      @ToolReviewZone  5 лет назад +1

      You can get them at the Home Depot in the Bessey clamp area. They always have a bunch of them

    • @ctpreddog1411
      @ctpreddog1411 5 лет назад

      @@ToolReviewZone I just purchased a four pack from Home Depot and try them and they do not fit.
      I'm not going to take them back I'm just going to modify them to make them fit.
      The thickness or depth of the jaw is the problem and is why it doesn't fit underneath the track.
      All the different clamps I have seen the Jaws are all too thick in depth so I'm just going to sacrifice one by grinding the top of the clamp jaw down on my bench grinder to make it thinner to fit underneath the track.
      PS I just seen you have four inch clamps and the thing is I'm not buying any more camps I'll just modify the 6-inch clamps to fit.

    I really wish they offered this tool in an electric version.....
    I could really use something like this to get into smaller spaces that my normal 4.5" angle grinder can't get into... but this cordless version just doesn't have enough power.
    If I had an electric version with some more torque, it would be absolutely perfect.

    Great review! Definitely picking one of these up soon. I work in HVAC and the uses are endless. It can cut steel duct work and brackets. Copper and steel pipe. It can cut Pvc for condensate and flus. We install ductless units and have to cut out holes in drywall and lath/plaster. Multi tools are slow and messy for lath and plaster and sawzall can rip the whole wall down in some of these older houses. And grinders can be unsafe and awkward one handed. This would be perfect for that and the dust extractor with a vacuum hooked up to it would almost eliminate dust in clients homes. We have to cut holes in tile floors for the grills and duct work. And osha just made banned cutting tile/stone with out water or dust extraction. Can’t dump water on the floor when I’m a clients house and most grinders don’t have dust extraction. I honestly could keep naming uses for this tool. And I’m sure electricians and plumbers would have similar uses.

    Can’t wrap my brain around people using “whimpy” to describe this efficient light duty tool? (If it doesn’t last well, sure.) I do restoration work and can see this thing being perfect for making not only small cuts but for fitting thin sheet metal because most other formats create excessive vibration or there “roto” action can be unwieldy.
    For me it would be ocassional use, but can think of many instances where this little “whimp” could out perform other cutting methods (to make you money and save time). More than a handful....?

    Ahhh….yeah. It’s still probably going to be just as useless for me as I thought that it would be when it first came out. Oh, well. I found it brand new for a hundred and one bucks on the Zon. I guess I’ll try it on closet/flange bolts on toilets. There’s gotta be something it can do right.😂

    A portable bandsaw does a better job cutting the pipe.

      Oh yea well the cut off wheel does a better job at cutting chain link fence to get into someone's yard to steal their portable bandsaw to cut a piece of metal pipe to use to make a blowgun to quietly take out the guards to rescue your friend from prison.

      Most stock blades that come with tools are junk. They are mostly just sample blades. Just search 3” cut off blades on google and you will find lots of quality ones.
