Coherent theme = Structure deck!! but I see what you mean, amazing review to the product, it fits the "Casual" playstyle of Yugioh and thats a WIN, we dont want to scare newbie away Day 1 so it's a good product to learn and experience mechanics and "Actual Beatdown", which modern Yugioh lacks 😅
Thankyou so much!! Really appreciate it. Yeah I thought about that while I was putting my thoughts down for the video and you're right. I guess more just having a consistent theme throughout the decks rather than cards that "just work". Defs will word it better next time. it's great for players who have never picked up a Yugioh deck and it demonstrates what it needs to...it just does it in the strangest way which raises many eyebrows. But don't worry, the Structure decks will give that 'higher level' experience once players progress through😆
11:10 Interesting debate. But already you’ve made your point invalid. If this is Suppose to be a Starter Kit for First Time Players, than shoving in a Bunch of Mechanics from the game is only going to Confuse the players! The Two decks are great, but what this Two Player Starter kit needed was a Large Double folded Battle Mat or at Least two Separate ones that most Starter and Structure Decks have now! And what I would also like to add, is a basic Rule Book! The one one that Delves into all the Gameplay rules. But ir seems as of late those little booklets are being omitted from some of the newer Structure decks recently. Even so. Getting into this game isn’t all that Easy. It helps to have these new Extra deck boss monsters. But it doesn’t help if there isn’t an experienced player along with you to help play the game. Hell, even pokemon has done a better job at this than Yugioh has!
Agreed. Yes, I forgot to mention the fact that this starter set doesn't even come with all the basics we expect from all starter/structure decks like I did in my previous video covering this issue. It's an ok product but it surprising how much it fails in several areas that should be standard. I more wanted to cover just the product itself but yeah mentioning the playmat would've been a very helpful point to add. Appreciate it.
I got mine to learn yugi after 15 years of stop playing the Game, it costs me 20usd in flimsy cardboard box in a Retail Store. I'm from México BTW. I really like the comic / tutorial thing and it can be replayed to teach again to someone new. Its for newbies, not for seasoned players
Yeah definitely. As I mentioned in the vid, this product is absolutely not for people that have been playing the game for a decent amount of time and is definitely catered to the absolute beginners. Also I didn't realise the packaging was different in different regions!! That's crazy. The box we get is definitely very nice but looking at the other cardboard box package....yikes!!!
