i love cardfight vanguard! i love my local comunity so much. i started around set 6 of overdress. even if i started playing standard, i love love love playing premium format because it feels like a whole different game but with the same rules.

Honestly the problem is just the price of DLC. Legacy of Duelist and Shadowverse did charge full price. The problem is Vanguard overpriced itself and then charged the same amount for DLC. Only positive is any cards you have transfer over to DD2 and it is still cheaper than the actual game. If anything with DD2 coming out they should just make DD1 way cheaper. Like 1/3 of the price.

bruh the game is just a repackage of vanguard ex. furyuu made better vanguard games in the past but went to shit durring the switch era. a.i. doesnt play optimaly or care about self preservation. but it sucks im still gonna buy it cause i love vanguard.

the price is fine... yes it's $200+ (more if you want ai to fight which is essentially mandatory nowadays. But you earn all cards in game unlike master duel/duel links/mtg arena/pokemon tcgs/etc... I take this model with a fee like $300 over MD monetization ANY DAY!!!! I am happily going to buy it + card passes for dear days 2 day 1. If you get it early on there will be plenty of people to play likely for years as they keep updating, I never had a problem searching for ppl online. (please buy it on PC. the players are on PC not switch... Not cross platform sadly)

My brother in arms, you should clean these games and cases, I get tetanus just from looking at them. I recommend simple sanitizer, that should help getting rid of glue residue, even better than normal isopropanol. Just be careful around the labels and make sure to take the inlays out of the cases beforehand to not damage them.

If I recall the GX card Almanac was EU exclusive, so I can see why you couldn't find it in stores here and why the price would be on the higher end.

The shuffling algorithm in Dear Days is so terrible & people defending it especially for being a $140 game, I just can't deal with the vanguard community 😫 For example you should NOT be clumping 8-12 cards on the top of your deck with 4 duplicates & it should not be obvious to the point you *know* what your opponent is gonna drive/dmg check. Yes, this happens outside of the algorithm'd Story mode too. Vanguard is so fun that's why i want to play it at its fullest, that means an actual randomizer that closely reflects what it's like to play the game Irl.

Definitely need to talk about Link Evolution. Includes Takahashi's cards like the Palladium Oracle series & Air Neos (which for some reason these cards arent allowed in most of their video game simulators afterward) Great game with bots using several decks like Amazoness, Tri-Brigade, Infernities, etc. from all eras. While not perfect, it's definitely more fun than the Master Duel bots being that they cover several decks from different generations. Plus you get to make retro format decks like Edison, Tengu, Dragon Ruler format, Hat format, Shaddoll/Nekroz format, Toss format, etc. Lots of fun stuff :) All for $20!!

Greedy bastards. Why cant they learn from master duel instead of shoving high prices down our throats. Its very difficult to recommend my newcomer friends to this game since its a full price of 90 dollars.

When this was announced I was so excited but every single choice with this game was so wild. I had wanted a vanguard sim to release in English for forever and oh cool a girl protagonist, as a woman who plays TCGs that's ideal for me. I love Trading Card Game video games like Shadowverses game and classics like Digimon Card Battle and stuff so I was thrilled to get into this. Then we saw the price, we saw the DLCs price, we saw the AI translation for the story mode of the game, we got the weird as UI for deck building and damn if they didn't fuck it up at literally ever corner. Then I eventually have obtained the game and it feels like off, like the game having true to TCG RNG is really bad because trying to build a deck from buying packs is awful with their terrible pull rates. It's such a shame, I love a lot of the ideas of vangaurd but I think the game seems to be getting worse and worse.

just wait for dear days 2 the price tag of full price is worth cuz the dlc of the last game will be coming with the base price of 70 bucks. then u also get legacy fights which means more cards for base price then the dlc will be what ever. I think this game will have more story seeing how they add overdress, divinez, dear days 1 and dear days 2 characters. If u want to play the game for free u can always proxy cards lmao and play with yourself or with a friend who is wanting to play the game and dont want to spend money proxy play is valid i been doing it

While I agree the price is ridiculous and the docs are vastly overpriced. Most people are too dumb to understand the difference between this and the alternative, as someone who plays the alternatives and this, it's actually nice to pay the price of a competitive deck irl and get EVERY SINGLE DECK IN THE GAME not just 1 irl deck that's gonna crash in price in 1 yr once it's powercrept into oblivion by bushiroads incompetent game designers. Unlike Pokemon, Yugioh, and Magics online clients were sure they are Free, until you want to build literally anything and you're now playing a gacha game force to pay to win if you want to hope to get enough currency or cards to even play Let's use Master Duel yes you can craft cards in the game, but you cannot anywhere near dear days earn packs or cards for free, on average you'll get 20packs per update which some outliers here or there which is 1 guaranteed UR, however on average you'll get 2 minimum, you need 3 to craft 1 card So for the low price of 80$ you get 2 irl boxes worth of URs so 80$ translates to 8 URs on average, you can high roll you can low roll and get the bare minimum 4 URs Which means if you don't get any of the 4 cards to be cards you wanted you can only craft 1 card so for 80$ slightly higher than dear days base price you can't even build a single deck in master duel, and don't get me started on magic online where it's even worse and more expensive. Pokemon at least gives you the stuff you buy IRL in the online client with promo codes, so you do get to double dip. Tldr: yes dear days is expensive but for the price of what a competitive deck costs irl you get every deck in dear days Should they lower prices yes, but the cost of a free client is you spending thousands comparitively to what you currently do.

hey if u want to play the game first u will need people to play it with unless u want to use the chat to make say things but have u looked into something like cardfight area or vangpro? good fan made card sims for vanguard and whne new cards r anounced they update the stuff almost right away so if u would like to do vanguard content if u can get people to cardfight u and make videos from that like when u stream u can make videos from the stream of the fights if u want to show off more of vanguard even though it is offical but it's something if u stream that is

I really want to test the game for years now, but nobody in my area are playing the game, and Dear Days is an absolute joke of a product. Sometimes Bushiroad gives the impression that they want to KILL the game in the west... it's even worse when you think about one of their past presentations when they stated to wanted to become the number one TCG, or something like that. Absolutely laughable.

So the big thing for me about dear days is the games Rng number. Depending on the match up, deck build and deck list you can predict and control certain aspects of the games outcome. For example if you draw ace offensive cards then your opponent will hit defensive cards like triggers. There’s many other things I tested in game and how manipulating it is to make every game to be down to the wire regardless of meta or skill.

They decided to go for short term profits. Maybe a few whales buy all the dlc. But they're not pulling in new customers that could end up buying packs. Very shortsighted.

Dear days wasn't the first vanguard card simulator there was vanguard EX and some on the 3ds however all those were only released in Japan

$70 for low budget visual novel, no eng dub, 2D jpeg card game simulator. Now Dear Days 2 will do it yet again $70 for basically same game asset wise.

as someone who has been playing this game for 10 years, i was really excited for dear days but man its really annoying to want to play it cause it feels you have to either pick between dear days or playing the tcg. Which is something you should never do for a tcg simulator. I'm going to pick up dear days 2 mainly for the old school mode cause man does current standard just feel not as fun to play in english with how expensive it is.

Your frustration is totally valid. Dear Days felt like it was intentionally trying to flop especially when it was released the day before Pokemon SV came out. Then the DLC are so expensive that it feels like its trying to sway you to just play the physical card game instead regardless if people play it in your area. Worse of all, its not even a good game to get into Vanguard anymore as updated rules have made Dear Days obsolete.
