    Thank you so much for the tip to use stitch markers. I just started this pattern today and the stitch markers definitely help to keep track of the stitches!

    Just a fantastic video! Where else can you watch a knitting video and gorgeous scenery to boot? The Mavericks Blanket is beautiful. It looks complicated, but the pattern is so clearly laid out that, after watching the video carefully, any knitter should be able to knock it out.
    Great to see Kristen, too.

    Love the pattern. Have you tried this pattern with variegated wool? Wonder how it looks the pattern? If it works it could save a lot of changing yarn colours. Could you please tell me what you think? Many thanks!
    PS. I made the Irish moss blanket for my first granddaughter and everyone loves it and my daugther in law uses it a lot. Thanks for your pattern. It was a wonderful present to make and give! ❤

      So happy you've knitted up my Moss Landing blanket for your first granddaughter! Yes, you may use variegated wool, it just won't have the distinct color changed in each 8-row repeat. Should look beautiful, too!

    I’ve got lots of fingering weight yarn. Could I use this for your pattern? If so, should I cast on more stitches? Needle size? Thanks for any help. I really like this pattern!

    So the wavy look happens naturally?? I would love to make a blanket with this pattern! I just feel like I'm missing something with that wave technique... ??

    • @studioknit
      @studioknit  Год назад +1

      You may wish to knit up a smaller swatch first. Cast on in multiples of 13 and see how you like it.

    Knitting newbie here. I have a question about the circular needles. I don't have them. What does this mean for me if attempting to follow this pattern? Thanks in advance.

    • @studioknit
      @studioknit  11 месяцев назад

      They are helpful to hold all the stitches for the width of your chosen blanket size. Straight needles are typically not long enough.

      @@studioknit Thank you. Once I looked at them, it became more clear to me that I would need them I only knitted a scarf once and obviously didn't need them for that. I appreciate your response.
