    Excellent tutorial and lovely scarf. To those who haven’t started yet, note that the pattern calls for size 10 knitting needles, which is correct. I missed that instruction on my first scarf and it curled on size 8 needles. I needed to block more aggressively. Marly is right, as usual, this is not difficult at all after one pass at row 3.

      Thank you for mentioning the curling. I am using the correct size and me work is curling. Hope blocking helps.
      I like the pattern, though next time I will CO 26 st. and try it with four knit stitches on each side instead of two.

    Wow - Awesome scarf - I want to try this soon. Im new to knitting so I think I need to work on something else first but as I was watching this and me being a new knitter I think I just seen something other knitters might be having an issue with. I made a scarf where I thought maybe I had dropped a stitch because I had a hole in my work but now I think it was a accidental yarn over WOW thats why I couldnt fix it right. Thanks Marly you are an awesome teacher and I cant wait to make this scarf.

    I love this project. To all the people I have taught to knit, I tell them how easy it is to make lacy things and you have just proved it. I will be forwarding this video to them. Thanks for the great instructions. Love the look of this yarn and can't wait to try it too. One point, what is your style of knitting? I learned to knit from my mother (in England) and your style is different. Is it the Continental/European way?

    Hi Marly! Do you have a "written" pattern for the scarves? I love the "Ripple Lace" scarf! Once you've done the stitch w/the marker, how do you get the marker out so you can use it again? I've never dealt w/markers before.

But, OMG, I love rainbows, and within 5 minutes on this video I went off to Amazon and snagged a few skeins. I’m so weird. I’ll probably actually make this scarf. If I don’t wind up loving it I’m sure someone will… but man, the yarn came already and it’s pretty. Thanks for enabling!!

    • @U2cantrustme
      @U2cantrustme 4 года назад

      Hi we do use acrylic yarn for this one.
      If you are knitting the first two stitches of every row you should not be curling. First two of every row is 2 knit stitches on both the right and wrong sides.
      I actually made mine with the first four being knit stitches, I wanted the scarf a little bit wider. I love the border I get with 4 knits on both sides. Good Luck with it.
      With the 4 stitches I have no curling what-so-ever!! 😊😊😊

    • @U2cantrustme
      @U2cantrustme 4 года назад

      Another note: The Red Heart Stripes recommends size 8 needles for their yarn and Marly used size 10. So maybe your curling is coming from tight stitches??? Try using bigger needles or do what I did with 4 knits on both sides.

      Hey there, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I just wanted to clarify something - my videos are focused on teaching and providing clear instructions on how to make items. I try to avoid lengthy stories or anecdotes so that viewers can quickly learn and create. While I understand that my content might not be everyone's cup of tea, there are plenty of other channels on RUclips that might be more suited to your preferences. I hope you find what you're looking for and continue to improve your knitting skills. Thanks again for watching!
