Yes, I would like more basic blanket pattern options. Please🙂
I was literally just looking for a blanket pattern! Perfect.
Haha, I read your mind, Mary Lea. Happy knitting to you!
@@studioknit Well, I have made a happy start. My local yarn shop had a sale on aran wool so I am making a cosy blanket for my giant of a son. This pattern is perfect, because I have weak eyes, but on big needles with chunky wool I can feel where I'm at. The textured pattern is definitely revealing itself. I'm now wishing I'd got more wool!
I love the look of this pattern and the fact that it is reversible makes it perfect. Thanks for the video and the free pattern.
You are so welcome, Karen!! 💖
This really is such an easy, beginner-friendly design and it’s so beautiful! I’m having so much fun with this project. Thank you for this pattern and video! ❤️

I love your yarn color. I'm definitely trying this one as a newbie. The moss stitching is absolutely gorgeous. Great inspo!
Thank you! 😊
This is a nice blanket. I'm gonna make it
Very beautiful blanket design thanks for sharing 👌💐🌷💐🌷🇺🇸
Thank you so much. Yes to more easy pattern
Great to know, thanks! 💖
Hi!! I am currently knitting this blanket in the Throw size and I wanted to say that the Cast On amount should be 130 stitches to get the full repeat. 128 stitches doesn't complete the full pattern. It took me couple days tinkering with it to figure out where I went wrong in my cast on, but I figured it out and using 130 stitches gives me the full pattern repeat!! I am excited to see how it turns out!!
Muy bonita!!!! Gracias por compartir 😘🇲🇽☘️☘️☘️☘️
This is a beauty Thank you Kristen I want to knit this 👍💙 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hi, Debra! Thanks so much!

Thank you for this clear explanation and demonstration! I really like this pattern and am searching for something to make for my guest room, in case a visitor would like a little extra warmth at night. I think I just found the right project.
Wonderful!
Very pretty 😀
Thanks 😀
I bought your pattern on Ravelry, but how lovely to have this video also. Thank you for the beautiful pattern!
Glad you like it!
🤣😂I have not knit this yet... Now is a good time to visit the yarn store 🎁🎵🎶🎶🎵🎶
Haha, great idea!!!!
Thank you for sharing. Would the double moss stitch look good in a variegated yarn?
You’re awesome!
So sweet, thanks!
Perfect
Nearly finished my throw I made size 40x60 it looks really nice.3 more pattern repeats then the border, love the pattern thank you.
Congratulations on finishing such a large project!!! 💖
This turns out to be the basket weave pattern for me. What am I doing wrong? I love the look of the double moss stitch. 😊
I use this pattern for knitting prayer shawls
Thank you for the tutorial...so pretty. I have a question; can you do color changes (easily) with this pattern? For example, I would like to make a striped blanket using five colors. If so, should I do odd or even number of rows to make the color change the same on the right side? Thank you for any help you can provide.
This is a gorgeous pattern, thank you for the helpful video! I was wondering whether it'd be possible to make the border using different coloured yarn? How would that work?
Can you use different wieght yarn for this blanket, too?
So simple and beautiful ❤I have just 4 ply yarn 🙁
What is you favorite wood needles? Want to to get a set of wood exchangeable needles. I know they are making the lateen moon needles again. If you have a recommendation for a set of wood exchangeable needles would help. Thanks
Hello Kristen! How are you? I started to make the Moss Landing blanket! It's going well so far. I was just wondering if you have any patterns for a triangle shawl or wrap? I love your tutorials because you give instructions very well, and easy to understand. Thanks for your help.
Thanks so much, that’s great to hear. Sorry. no triangle wraps yet, but it’s on my list! 💖
I have wool for this but needs to be on size 4.5 mm needles…would the stitch numbers and dimensions still work?
Can you use velvet yarn for this pattern?
Probably going to make a bag ngl :)
No matter the width, do you always cast on an even number of stitches?
I have medium weight yarn #4. Should I just use smaller needles? (What size) and if I’m making a baby blanket size should I be casting on more? And what increments should I cast on the extra stitches? (By two’s or fours?) this is beautiful and I can’t wait to start tomorrow morning for my 7 hour flight!
im just learning to knit, so it would be helpful if you showed us how to put the thred on the needle
Hi! I am new to knitting. Currently, I am working on a scarf in basketweave. I am wondering if Acrylic yarn is ok to use for blankets. Thank you! Love this video!
Hi, Natasha - Certainly. Feel free to use any fiber of your choice. Happy knitting to you.
@@studioknit thank you!
Has anyone knitted this pattern using their scrap yarn? I have so much to use up…considering using this pattern to use all my random yarns for.
I have size 10, knitted on 108 is this ok?
ugh....how did i do this, i just realized that i have a big round...thing! :/ can anyone tell me how on earth ive went wrong??
I think you knit in the round instead of turning your project
Ugh… me too. I’ve frogged it multiple times and still keep ending up with a round. Please help
Could this blanket be knit with #4 weight??

Sts.Please🙏
Can this be knitted with a chunky wool?
Amein. May Yahuah protect you guys.
Hi I wanted to ask if the total rows count include the border rows or not??
Hi my name is Shaleen Lyons I'm Knitting with thin wool it is OK to use
I want to try this pattern but I'm having a heck of a time finding a circular needle 36 inches in size 10 US. I have found a sz 10 US but cannot find a 36 inch or bigger. I have searched Amazon Canada and Michaels Canada but no luck. I am a beginner so feel I should start out with the correct size. Any suggestions would be helpful.
can i do it with stray needles?
Oh man i would really like to knit this but i am really battling with circular needles..i have tried starting 4x and its just not working. Plus i need a much bigger size blanket..
I suppose there is no way i can knit this on straight needles, pity i love it so😢
How many balls of yarn for the blanket shown in video please....
Would you use this yarn for a baby blanket or do you have another yarn you’d recommend?
Yes, I love this yarn for baby blankets since it's soft and washable. I have instructions for baby blanket size and yarn substitution recommendations on my website here for you www.studioknitsf.com/moss-landing-blanket/
What about a marker?
Can I knit this on straight needles?
With long needles for a baby blanket maybe? You need to be able to fit them all on the one needle. Circular needles are a lot easier for this sort of project.
Hello, I just bought this pattern last night, can't wait to start it. I just don't understand how much yarn to buy . I understand you have it it in ounces but I just don't know how much to get :( Help please
Look at the yardage required for the size you want. Then look at the yarn label for the yardage. PATTERN YARDAGE / YARN YARDAGE = NUMBER OF BALLS
I have a question instead of using 5 could i use 2 strands of 4 ?
Certainly! It will just be smaller unless you add stitches and rows.
@@studioknitoh alrifht and why did i jist mow saw tbat u responded lol!!
What if I wanted this for my king size bed? Like 140x100… 😬
Ha, that would be something!
100” x 140” King Bedspread
Cast On 312 Stitches
Knit 700 Rows
Yarn Amount 8,136 yds
What guage do you suggest?
I'm using chunky #5 size yarn.
Gauge: 16 stitches and 20 rows = 4 inches in Double Moss Pattern
Rows 1 & 2: * K2, P2 *
Rows 3 & 4: * P2, K2 *
@@studioknit Thank you.
@@studioknit thank you.
Can you still buy the pattern
Certainly! studioknit.shop/products/moss-landing-blanket
Beautiful blanket pattern...thank you so much..going to knit this one..do you think Pound of Love yarn would work..size 10 needles...thank you appreciate your reply..
It's a worsted weight yarn. So, either use size 8 US and it will knit up smaller, or double the yarn strands and knit with 10 US. Enjoy!
