Now I’m doin’ this incredible marketing thing for #Agent, #Everywhere and #MindsEye for a company called Rockstar Games and their former Scottish colleague Leslie Benzies in Leith, Scotland. It’s like the honor and privilege of my life and this amazing journey that started on 2 April, 2018. Inspired me to start collectin’ for a short time, years before my dad passed from a heart attack in 2019 (absolute nightmare come true). And as I’m what I like to call Founder & CEO of something totally based around inspiration and ambition, XXVIII Games, next to my father, heroes and first responders, there’s nothin’ I respect more than ambition and the capacity at such a young age to jump start you and your brand and your legacy. So many people have jumped right in at like at 12, 13, 14 years old here on RUclips and started workin’ with alarms, wirin’ ‘em up and maintained a keen awareness when doing it and passing out knowledge to those who are lookin’ to do it. Then years later, they wind up in the industry as fire techs working for Simplex and are lead into a successful career. Just amazing where life can take you. There’s nothin’ greater than doin’ an above and beyond and taking the knowledge you’ve learned and giving that to someone else. ‘Cause that’s how the ‘ambition cycle’ just keeps goin’. You’ll be amazed at the part of you, you never know existed that one day, you’ll unlock. And I say that having lost one of the greatest assets ever in my life in my dad, watching my mother suffer extreme psychosis and takin’ care of my sister with like 4 conditions for almost 4 years, before she was ready to live a new life and have her special paradise in homecare. I’m happy to say I was like a first-responder to her for all those years. Actually called myself somewhere between a mother, father, warrior and vigilante. Best part is now she’s happier and my dad’s got the inner peace. The best is always yet to come and with believing power everything and anythin’s possible. @@257channel My elementary school had an old Edwards system with Edwards 375 horn with edwards 270 spo pull stations before I moved schools. My new school had White Spectralert advance speaker strobes with BG12s. I miss those days with the old edwards horns, though. Plus, that was when I first watched this video.
The alarm sounded like that when I was in middle school. We didn't have the "all clear" bell, the principal just gave the signal. We DID have the "All clear" bell when I was in elementary school and high school. You taped the video pretty good.
Fire and Severe Weather Drills Anytime a fire alarm sounds, students are to walk quickly and without talking to the nearest outside door. Make a mental note of the fire exit plan posted in your classroom as well as the directions given by your teacher. Once outside, regroup with your class for roll call to make sure everyone made it out safely. (I got this from the school's website, the student handbook)
@vacuum321 the fire alarm going off right as school ends, or in between classes has become pretty common at our high school. It's pretty funny seeing people confused about where to go when it goes off when everyone's already on the move.
@arkema101 my elementary school i went to from 2nd-5th grade had an addition put onto it in 1992. the alarms on the old side are system sensor mass24m's and one federal signal vibratone. the new side had simplex horns attached to retrofit plates. the alarms were posted in big areas and the hallways. there were intercoms posted inside the classroom and whatever side of the building you were on, it would sound like the alarms on the side of the building you were on, and it would play this tone.
Ive been into fire alarms for a long time but i never knew it was as far back as 2004 where people were interested in them, i wonder where all the fire alarm fanatics used to hang that far back then.
The high school I will be going to has Wheelock MPS-200 pul stations with an Amseco label and 270 SPO's. All the pulls have Stopper II's over them. We also have 4903-9238 horn/strobes in the hallways. Most classrooms have SpectrAlert Advance SW strobes but a few broken ones got replaced by EST Genesis red strobes. I also forgot to mention the FCI MS-6 pulls in the gym, which are all paired with Wheelock NS horn/strobes. On the brand new wing of the school, there are SpectrAlert Advance P2R horn/strobes with Notifier NBG-12LX's.
I've heard a spectralert classic and a wheelock AS go off, but never together in person. I was so close to hearing them at the same time, until my job did a mini system upgrade where the only spectralert classic in the building got replaced with an L series. However, my job has both Spectralert Advances, and Wheelock AS's and they are loud together. They even have hornstrobes in the bathroom, so there is no escape when we have false alarms.
my school used that all clear bell for some sort of signal. there were alot of signals no one understood that came over the PA. the bell was a 500 Hz 6 second tone.
we had one of these today. too bad i was in coach Borrel's 6th period and half of the time that could be spent playing knock-out (a baskeball game) was gone :(
I wish my high school had a real fire drill alarm... The only time I would see the strobes and REAL Sirens is if there's a smoke, or someone pulls the alarm. For fire drills it has a beep, from the school bell that rings for next class... The tornado drill sounds a little cooler though. Has like one low beep, and another beep that will go up and down.
The all clear bell is our tornado warning. I go to Beaver Point High in Colorado. (BPHS) Our fire alarms are Gentex Commander 3's in Mechanical Code 3.
haha same exact fire alarms at my old middle school but i like the old ones better :9 they changed it out in middle of the year and everyone was like wtf? Now we got the same bell for passing and fire misses the days of the ringing bells Lol
The school I attended the following year rang a piercing tone. Think of when the bleep out a curse word on TV... Drag that bleep out to 10 seconds and you have our bell!
one time when i was in esd (an after school daycare), we were eating snack until the fire alarm gone off. it only lasted a few minutes. so it was a false alarm.
@LilZoeM Or not. I remember one when I was in high school, our instructor just kept working at his desk. We all kind of looked at him, he just kept reading like nothing was going on. Nearly a full minute passed, and one of us finally asked "Uh....shouldn't we...you know, get out?" He took his time looking up, and putting away his papers. "Ah. Guess we should, shouldn't we?" Turns out, some contractors had set the roof on fire.
Yeah that is what they have but why is the whole school AS horn strobes on the inside and that one outside is the classic? I know Wheelock makes weatherproof versions of its devices unless that was not the case in 2004.
by the way my apt has these fire alarms you know the Beep beep beep sound, not the typical rrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnggggggghhhhhh sound we heard in the 70's 80's
Looks like the Wheelock AS at 1:18 happens to be an AS-24-1575W-FR as I didn't see a candela selector and i saw the rating "15/75" to the right side in the strobe.
