At my old high school in Keizer, Oregon, it had the same alarms, but white and ceiling mounted. They were super loud, can hear it from blocks away.
Nice These horn strobes are at A Fred Meyer that’s 20 minutes from where I live and they’re very nice looking alarms I’m Buying one
My local vons has something similar, but it’s white coloured
We even put the NS sound in this device
A lot of stores at the Wilton Mall have these. Home Goods, Shoe Depot, C & C, and Valentinos. The Healthy Living Market in the mall actually has HSWCs (that place was actually the first place I ever saw Exceders in real lofe). There also is a Market 32 in Wilton that has these.
Great video 😀👍👍
There’s one of these in one of the portables at my school
They have these mounted on the walls in the new portables, One of the portables is my class
The wheelock exceeders sounds exactly like the Wheelock NS series horns. For some reason, since 2010, nearly half of the buildings that are newly built or have new fire alarm systems put in, are the spectralert Advance horns, speakers, and strobes. Not many places are installing any Gentex, Mircom, or Simplex horns, strobes, and speakers.
Simplex is really expensive. As for Gentex/Mircom, I think it has to do with the partnerships of the system installers. For example, I worked for a Notifier dealer. That dealer would primarily install Wheelock, but also sold everything else. Normally I think it's cheaper and easier for these companies to primarily install one brand, rather than a mixture of a bunch.
@@TheFirePanel I'm from Brookline Massachusetts, and I notice in about 60% of new buildings or buildings replacing their fire alarms, they seem to get System Sensor notification appliances (either speaker or strobe), while the next common is EST notification appliances. They rarely do the other brands for some reason. why is System Sensor so popular in Massachusetts and new England?
I think it’s time for Wheelock to put a new sound in their alarms Wheelock hasn’t changed the sound of their alarms since the NS.
they changed it in the elexua
Cool video! That's pretty much the ceiling mount version of the HSR (which is the model number of the other Exceeder you have) ;)
+Zachary Fleck Wheelock has a pretty interesting way of naming alarm models for the Exceeder series. Like I have a Exceeder STWC, which a "strobe-only, white, ceiling-mount variant" 😄. Straight off the bat, I can remember the Exceeder STR, STW, STRC, STWC, HSR, HSW, HSRC, & HSWC (not certain these are correct, but it's worth a try). It's relatively easy (at least for me) to know what EACH of those models are 😉.
+Zachary Fleck Ah yes. I totally know what you mean 😉
I'm at my school we have Wheelock exceeder and the ceiling mount and we had the Wheelock fire on which the one is waterproof in the Wheelock acceder is loud scares the heck out of me
I just got my Wheelock AS yesterday I am planning to get an exceder or a commander 3
I have this except it is in white which is the HSWC
I got one today and realized its much bigger than it looks.
How is it big it’s a small Fire alarm 😕🤔
i found a system sensor spectralert advance at store,
and one day i heard it go off and it's on code-3
and it's not that loud
JaxonBloxx HD I tested my P2W on high volume and it was VERY LOUD!
Why are Wheelock exceder strobes notorious for exploding.
Do you have any spectralert classics?
in my school we have the Wheelock CH-70-24-MCW in my class its loud
You can't have Chimes in your school . It's probably an e70
@@firealarm2903_ Yeah you can, it is possible for schools to have chimes so it won't scare the kids
@@Kyleking444 My school has SpectrAlert Advance Speaker Strobes
It says Eaton on the box
Eaton Industries is the manufacturer of Wheelock.
www.eaton.com/us/en-us/products/safety-security-emergency-communications/alarms-and-signaling-devices/life-safety-notification.html
Usually it's Cooper Wheelock
A test
Are the wheelock exceeder and NS horns louder and more earsplitting than the Spectralert Advance or L series?
How do you take it down?
Unscrew the tamper screw on the front of the device (seen above the strobe in this video) and it can simply be taken down.
