I love watching your analytical mind at work I totally love this kind of vids as well. thanks this does help a lot and I know this has been up for a while but still is valuable Thanks!
Matt is awesome and watch every single video he puts out. I can now go into a thrift store with over 300 brands to look for. Before the manifesto it was about 25 brands at most. I will start watching your videos as well. Thanks
The one thing to remember about when he says buy at the bins it's cheaper. His thrift stores in Cali are higher then a lot of places. I buy some of those brands at the reg thrift negate I can get it 2 or under
Excellent work Amber. The O'Neills will flip soon. As will the Johnnie-O and the Carhartt flannel. The Carhartt's the only one that mystified me as to why it hadn't sold. Really appreciate your making this video.
I 100% agree-can’t believe the Carhartt hasn’t sold or I haven’t at least gotten an offer. Thanks for being a good sport about us reviewing your Manifesto. It’s perfect.
This is awesome. I don't think there are two people anywhere that Melody and I trust more than you and @Thrift A Life. All of the people you involved are terrific.
Sold! I’m buying the manifesto. I often get analysis paralysis and this will help me pull the trigger much faster. Thanks to Matt (who I’ll be subbing to) for the work and Amber for this super relevant video.
Glad to see the latest video. I personally found Matt's manifesto relatively recently. When I saw this video come up, I knew with your love of stats this was right up your alley. Thanks for the info, greatly appreciate it. Being from VA I've got to check out the accompanying vids.
I hate when people try to negotiate the cost to get a total of X. I accepted a few offers like that and they always complain about the tax because they forgot about tax.. I no longer accept low offers that are "I will only pay $20 total 14 + 6 shipping".
i just cant wrap my head around the over 100% sell through rate? It makes no sense to me...it doesn't take into account how long items have been listed and what is the percentage out of ....is it just me?
Number of items sold in the last 90 days divided by current number of items listed . Here’s an example. If I go to eBay right now and search for “Mens rock revival jeans”, there are 1500 listings currently for sale. If I toggle to sold listings, there are 3400 listings. These are 3400 sold listings within the last 90 days. Therefore the sell through rates is 3400 divided by 1500 or 226%.
This was fun, and you picked up a sub. I pretty much started reselling in October last year with no menswear knowledge at all. My wife had purchased nearly every piece of clothing I've owned since the day after we were married... 39 years ago. I also love the fast turn model since we live in an RV, so we have a tiny amount of space available to work from. My inventory is sliding up under 200 items this week. It's worth using as a business tool if menswear is your niche.
Thanks for subbing! Do you travel around the US in your RV? I’ve always loved the idea of traveling around the US, funding the travel by stopping at thrift stores, and having a small amount of inventory. Would make a great RUclips channel!
@@AmberResells Yes, we do! I actually built out a Shuttle Bus for us to retire in, and we're subsidizing our travels by thrifting. Currently in central California, but soon heading up toward Salt Lake City. (I love shopping at Deseret Industries aka 'the DI') We're mostly making a circuit of the Pacific Northwest. We've thought about expanding into a channel, but heck, I'm 60 something.
From the moment I started following Thrift a Life, I immediately thought of your videos because you're both data driven. This collab was perfect and my favorite of many recent ones I've seen. I hope you guys make another one soon.
Thanks, Amber, for this very helpful video. I also will be getting Matt’s manifesto. I love his channel too. So much knowledge… hoping my brain won’t explode 🤯
Great video!!! Like you I am data driven also. I love your vids and Matt's. I found and flipped a pair of supply & denim jeans last month. It is a deadstock line since 2016 I believe. My two favorite jeans are American eagle 30-34 waist and lucky brand.
Hey Brent! Thanks for leaving a comment-I don’t think I’ve seen you in my comment section before 👋🏼 Are there certain style of AE and LB jeans that are your favorites to find?
@@AmberResells I haven't left comments before but this video collaboration really was enjoyable and somewhat true to what I have been finding. I have just been selling since between Xmas and NYE. I live in New London, CT so my sourcing selections aren't the best but I go with what is available. For American Eagle, almost all styles sell really quick for me

Another great video from Amber. I haven't watched the other videos yet but I bet part of the reason they found more is due to more experience. We all know that it takes time to stop and look up comps on items!
Great job on the work you did on this project. I will subscribe to your channel since you buy a lot of brands that I like. Actually do you still have the Adidas pants
Great idea Amber. I follow Thrift a Life and have been meaning to purchase his manifesto. Just watched all 4 of you and bought it immediately. I’m in Minnesota, so will give it a try and report back to you. 😀 nice job.
Thanks for the analysis, Amber! I've sold the Safari Series as well and they sold pretty quick. You mentioned several brands that I had not heard of. I will definitely be on the look out for them now and they may just appear in my next weekly what sold video!
Denim and Supply men's jeans sell really well for me and quickly. Although, every pair I've sold has been blue denim. Last pair I sold was for $49 on Poshmark. I'm wondering if yours aren't moving because they're black denim? 🤔🤔
I watched your video first. I was anxious to see what you found from the manifesto. I use and love it. I am in Indiana and have found most of the same common brands you did. Hopefully there is hope for me to find Psycho Bunny at some point.
I love this collab! Love the manifesto - it has served me well too. When I first started reselling I found a Psycho Bunny Hoodie at the bins and it sold for $50 within 2 hours. Great brand!
Buyers like those with that Adidas sale really stink! Great video as always, Amber! No doubt the Adidas GOLF pants will sell soon, though! They do well for us, and golf season is nearly here. This is such a great collab. Matt's content is amazing, and the manifesto is just awesome.

I am concerned about charging taxes to the buyer....does FB collect and submit for you or do you have to figure out the tax yourself and submit to their state? You should do a clip on what size men's and women's actually sell. What size you stay away from. Do you do any kids cloths?
Came hear because of MM. Enjoyed seeing how you went on and good luck in the future.
Hey Amber - do you think you can do a video on the Poshmark algorithm changes? You are always so insightful, I know many would love your input!
I would hold on to the Denim & Supply black jeans @$50 till they sell; you can get all the money for them.
Really good video! I've been following Matt for awhile now.
Oh, we KNOW who Matt is! lol You can actually pay him for the manifesto!!!

That’s a super good point! Duluth shorts, cabelas short sleeves, O’Neill swim trunks. Hopefully they’ll move as the weather warms up.
has anybody asked yet?? Does this exist for womens clothing anywhere?
Wish there was a women’s version of manifesto
That would have to be updated and revised about every week!
So do I
A women’s version would take years and would end up around the size of the encyclopedia Britannica.
There would be a section of “Jeans that may make your butt look fat”🤣🤣
