I work for Levi Strauss and I can tell you...made and crafted jeans retail price goes up to $300+. There are also jackets , shirts and sweaters. The jackets can retail for over $1200.

I can confirm men's Levi's 560s do well on Poshmark! I found 4 pairs at a yardsale 2 weeks ago and each sold within 2 days of listing for $30-35!

I was curious about why Rock Revival didn't come up on the eBay list. I looked up sold listings and they do very well on eBay. Forty pairs sold just on May 4th for anywhere between $40- $150!
So if you are an eBay only seller, no worries. They sell for a lot.

I knew about vintage Levis and LVC, but never heard of Made and Crafted, killer way to analyze, subscribed and thankful!
This is an ever changing game and in my opinion, no matter what, mens are easier than womens, they know what fits them and not so picky & quick to return, just MO. Also, taking more time to check well for flaws after years of experience. I often fail to remember that part.
I have a Made and Crafted pair I can’t move at all! For me... nothing beats a pair of Levi’s 501’s. I would pick them up all day and night!!
Can I ask: Do you pick up the men's 501's? The 2 pairs I've seen at the local thrift store are these thick old fashioned denim that looks super outdated to me so I passed over them, wondering why they were even a thing!

Great info Amber, I am currently turning my biz to mostly denim and have sold all these brands recently. 560s do great because they are no longer made. Another good brand to look for is Robins Jean.. big $$ new, resell $50-$100 on avg.

@@AmberResells Any vintage levis- can tell by paper tag with bat wing logo. most found are from mid 90s(date codes on back of tag). newer have a silky feel multi tags. Orange tabs are vintage as well. 501XX are good too - Ive only found RR twice in past year but they did sell fast and I want to say in the $50 range if I remember. past 3 days just from bins I got 21 pairs..3 Polo RL, true religion, 3 vtg levis, Diesel, AG, Dolce & Gabbana, and more,,

I’ve found G-Star before. Sold after a bit but I was happy. They had that knee pad thing. I sold on eBay last year so getting to them is tough. My son in law wears all these brands and I love selling his leftovers.

Amber,I just want to thank for all of your research and your content.I am very part time on Poshmark.Even though I’ve been selling since 2019 ,I need your help as in the information you provide.I always take notes on your video content and it helps me when sourcing .I have a brain injury from an accident so I forget a lot but with the notes to refer back to I can make a better choice.In my area it’s mainly mall brands so I’m lucky to find any of the upper over 35 range but I list these mall brands and do the best I can.Thank you again.I know this is long but I want you to realize how much this helps.

Love this format of video! Please keep them coming. I have Ariat and True Religion (and of course Levi's) jeans in my death pile, and I am now going to list them right away. There were several brands on this list that I had never thought of picking up though, so excited to try them.
In my experience eBay sellers tend to do more liquidation/arbitrage than Poshmark sellers too so there tends to be more new items sold on eBay and more used on Poshmark. That might be a reason the comps are higher there.

I think the reason that diesel jeans is high on eBay is because they are very popular in other countries especially Latin American countries.
i know white boys who wear only diesels. they are popular all over.
So I wrote down these brand names and went thrifting Wednesday February 4th 2022 . I found several pairs of Levi 560 jeans. When I looked up sales comps based on size and brand they were not selling well at all . I guess it depends on size . Maybe the market changed . The comps for all Levi 360 was 100 percent not 300 percent . Size 36 x 30 were 25 percent did not buy any the comps were too low.
Thanks for taking the time doing the research and making this video Amber. Good stuff. The Jeans I am surprised that is not on the list is Silver Jeans. They have a really high sell through rate, but then again average price is about $40 for used. My bread and butter is Levi Jeans. I have sold Vintage Levi's anywhere from $50 to $80.

I found a pair of Men's True Religion Jeans recently. I waffled about buying them because I feel like I heard that they aren't what they used to be. However, these ones had nice embroidery on the pockets. But there was some shredding by one of the ankles. Still got $50 for them on Poshmark. They sold fast!

Crazy helpful, Amber! Wasn't too surprised with any of the brands, if I'm being honest. I've sold some Cinch, True Religion, Diesel & Rock Revival jeans myself in the past and they all did well and sold rather quickly. :) I never even attempted to pick up any Levi's. Thank you very much for putting this together! Seems like a huuuuge task. Kinda annoying that the Sellhound prices didn't seem to equate correctly though.

Love the videos. Always very helpful. Have a couple question...What is your take on "sales". Have you done a study on what is better.
1. X items at X % off. "Any 2 item for 20% off"
2. X amount of items at X $. "4/$20"
3. Closet Clear Out really worth the effort. I've used it soooo many times and have had no sales!
4. Sharing.....I only have just over 600 items. It take a long time to share....do you always share your whole closet or just certain items?

Hi there. Thanks so much for the hard work. Love your videos. I thought about the possible reasons for ebay coming out ahead. Women are more likely to shop on Poshmark overall. It may be that women are willing to pay less for men's jeans than men might be. Another difference may be the type of jeans within the brand that are listed. For instance, Big "E" Levi's are usually sold on auction which is only offered on ebay. Big "E" Levi's sell over $2K. I also believe you are 100% correct that free shipping is offered often on ebay with the shipping cost hidden in the sale price. Just my thoughts.... could be totally wrong. Renae

I was only able to reproduce your Sellhound results for the Polo Sullivan Jeans by leaving the Fetch filter to New, so, the results you show seem to be for new with tags items on Sellhound. I got different results by using the same query (Polo Sullivan jeans men’s ) but switching the Fetch filter to Used.
I did not see the New and Used filter. Thanks for noting this. I usually just look through sold listings to price but wanted a faster way to come up with prices for the video.

Your old video came up, so I watched it again. I have since discovered that Ariat was named after the world's greatest racehorse, SecretARIAT. So just think of his name and the ending is how you pronounce it. I have only ever found one Ariat, and that was before I know the connection to my heart horse. I now own one of his double great-great-granddaughters, and she looks a lot like him; same color and white socks on the same 3 legs.
Someone else told me this tip as well, and now I think I say it right! It makes it so much easier to remember how to say it when you know the origin. Thanks for commenting to make sure I knew!
Did you also take into account the sell thru rate?
eBay numbers will have shipping included...it messes with the math for sure.
Do you use marketplace shipping for jeans or ship it yourself with another service? How much do you charge for shipping jeans on each platform?
Poshmark, everything ships for just over $7, no matter the type of item. On Facebook marketplace jeans that weigh over a pound are about the online thing that I DONT use FBMP shipping for. I set the shipping to $8.50 and use a padded flare rare envelope. On eBay I also charge $8.50 and use a padded flat rare enevelope

I was just wondering if at any point during your journey you felt discouraged and like you didn't want to do it anymore. I've been very involved in Poshmark the past 4 months or so, reached ambassador status, done every tip and trick I can come across on the internet. I still feel like my sales are not where they could be. In fact, I feel they have gone down. I don't want to throw in the towel, but I'm wondering if you've ever had slumps like this and how you got through them?

Diesel is really a men’s denim brand that carries women clothing. Also women’s jeans are much trendier than mens.
