Probably the only time I've seen someone actually source through without a big edit. Appreciate it! This is definitely about what I see around where I live as well. Nothing crazy at all...
This format, with a side camera as you look and comment at what we’re looking at, is novel and accepted with great fanfare! Love to hear and see your reactions to ass brands. Also nice to see someone digging thru, as monotonous as it is, instead of just seeing hauls. My biggest struggle, and I know I’m not alone, is sourcing as a new seller. Glad I don’t feel like I’m the only one going through a lot of items and finding only a few good ones. I remember when thrift stores were thick with amazing items. It seems weird now days.
I'm with you lol now I can't get ass brand out of my head !!! But from watching his videos , I am learning a lot . Prefer mens to womens because I do know the mall brands !
LMAO as I'm sipping coffee & watching this! I live in Los Angeles which makes me quick to chime with you.... the 'riches' are definitely NOT found in abundance as others may assume. Once in a while a windfall can be had, as when a 'new rack' comes out or a great estate sale. A few years ago I found 2 Brioni suits (one was NWT which the thrift didn't realize!). Thank you for the company while taking a little break here! Would love to see more of these from you... educational and full of laughter. Love and repeating outloud 'the ass of all asses...an ass within an ass'. LMAO Will be keeping that one in my repertoire! Will keep my fingers crossed that your new spy glasses will be your talisman for uncovering a plethora of future treasures!
Really appreciated this style of uncut, POV sourcing with commentary on each brand! The "highlight reel" videos are still helpful but this definitely gives a MUCH more realistic representation of thrifting clothing and therefore very valuable content IMO. Also, since 90% of what you look at isn't worth picking up, knowing the brands NOT to pick up is very helpful. Would love to see more of these in the future!
Wow, great video! You took it to the next level! You're the first I've seen use those glasses. Didn't know such a thing existed except on TV or the movies! I love that you are increasing the number of videos you are posting.
I think you have become my favorite RUclipsr/Reseller/Comedian in the span of one video. I have never subscribed to someone so quickly before. Where have you been my whole RUclipsr Reseller life?
I hope you make more videos like this one. More helpful and humorous than a bolo find video. Only reseller that shows the true grind of sourcing. Love your work. Keep it up.
The other day I was looking through the men’s shirts at the thrift store and I was wishing that you were by my side telling me which ones to pass. And here you are! At the thrift store telling me which ones to pass! Great video I loved it and I thank you so much!
Love the video, thanks for the education and entertainment. Great commentary, cracks me up. most of my life my work wear has been t shirts and casual wear, so you breaking down all the brands is awesome. i like the format with you hanging out in the corner with a cup of coffee, chillin
Dude you gotta make this a series. This was so good! Your reactions. Priceless. “It was an ass of ass”. I’d like to see u source all kinds of clothes this way. Hope to see more.
I liked this type of video. These brands are what I see at the thrifts. I find that selling men's brands are easier than women. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
OMG I love this video. Been watching for awhile now and I absolutely am killing myself laughing at your reviews of these clothing brands! Only thing is, I think you should have named the video: Thrifting at the Van Heusen outlets...so many of them! Thanks for all you do and keep up with the videos! I truly think you give the most honest opinion out there about Thrifting and selling on eBay and other platforms! Cheers!
Ahhhh this is definitely one of my favorites! Informative and funny! From now on I’ll be mumbling “trash brand” and “ass brand “ under my breath now while thrifting!
Very informative. I really like this style video. I am new at reselling clothing and currently trying to add it to my knowledge base, so for me this is a great way to learn.
this is definitely an accurate description of sourcing at the thrift. mostly ass lol. And when im finding too much good stuff i start to get super skeptical trying to find that flaw lol
Brilliant video, Matt. I think you’re on to something here with the glasses, there’ll be copycats in the future, but I saw it here first. This really was a great format for teaching. Thanks for sharing.
We need more vids like these! Go at your normal speed. Still valuable, especially seeing what you actually pick up. Men's shirts have been a tough area for me lately - all ass brands. Tommy Bahama sells so well for me and it's been a while since I've found many.
New subscriber. While menswear is not my category, I genuinely appreciate your candor and delivery style. Will definitely keep in mind the "pure ass" brands for future reference. Good times.
Best video yet lol I am learning so much from you ! I prefer mens to womens . Have to rewatch because I was laughing and didn't see what you might pick up at the bins. I did pick up a French Laundry. I hope that wasn't a mistake !
Thanks for the video along with part 2. I noticed I passed up a lot of Land’s End shirts. Their puffer style vests sell great new and used. New go for $40+/- and used $30+/-
Loved this style of video! Even though I hate selling mens button up shirts because I hate photographing them! Someone gave me about 15 bugatchi Uomo shirts and when one sold (I could see the guy was a reseller) I just sent him all 15 and told him he could have them to sell, he was mind blown
I also am sipping coffee watching this! I love you! Between your knowledge and humor you have the audience. Between the "Ass" brands in this video and the booger in another, you are hysterical!
Great tips but your sound effects had me laughing 😆 🤣 between trash and A$$ great video. Amazing idea with the glasses Love DC especially vintage but get video. Definitely do a mens jeans one that would interesting. Thank you again for the laugh 😆
Something I've always thought would be a fun collab would be for like a few resellers take turns to go through a rack of clothing like this, and maybe each choose a few pieces, and see who can find the "good" pieces. Would need to put back the pieces the first took out to make it equal and not random, but would just be interesting, I think!
0:04 alright im dead 😀 more videos like this! but in a different category maybe? i liked it a lot, next i'll live stream my sourcing and you can be in my ear like the tech guy in the van telling the action movie guy what to do
The glasses rock, Matt! I'm such a dinosaur because Im still trying to find the right Go Pro to thrift with. Holding my phone while thrifting is not working so well for me. Although, I get a lot of shots of the ceiling or floor.
What a great idea for a video! New sub here. This is super important to show what real life thrifting looks like. Plus, I can use all the tips I can get. Keep them coming like this! I appreciate you.
TRUTH! "This is what thrifting is really like." I've been re-selling for years & haven't crossed over to full time income. Your videos are very helpful! And as always, stay kind! Stay vegan!
I’m really enjoying your videos. I live in middle of nowhere Iowa. The trash is abundant. A$$ everywhere. The vintage single stitch tees are easy to find here though.
Those glasses are hilarious! I won't say what you look like...but you can fill in the blank. 😂 Love this video format while you thrift with those *********** secret glasses!
Purchased your MM. Super impressive! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and doing the work to help us clueless menswear newbies floating around in the atmosphere. Maybe it should be called ManifASSto. 😆
Hey, Matt! Thank you for the vid. Just a little on one of the t-shirts you saw. Hopefully helpful… :) The Black Dog is a company (fabulous tavern!) started in Vineyard Haven on Martha’s Vineyard in 1971 & makes higher quality clothing, tons of dog items, super soft long-lasting t-shirts (several different colors each year that are dated on the back at the neck). The sweatshirts retail for around $100, but I’ve got one that’s still going (after heavy use) after 20 years. I’ve had luck flipping them, but I’m on island and around the area often… I’ve had great luck flipping it - even kid’s stuff, which is not my thing. Please don’t think it’s the same category as Vineyard Vines - nowhere near it. Black Dog’s tag line is “Life Off the Leash” - super laid back. You may want to check out a book that just came out by a “legendary angler & islander” that’s great: “Casting into the Light: Tales of a Fishing Life” by Janet Messineo. I, too, am a bibliophile, so had to share. Best!
Love this video style. Lots of info and entertaining. And u r right...those are all the brands that are at every thrift store....Merona is a Target brand, fyi. But I don't care if you call it walmart or kohls. lol
I've been watching your videos for some time and wondering if I should subscribe. Well after this one I had to!! Thanks for teaching me the ASS brands, kept me laughing!! Learned a lot off this one.
Matt aggressively drinks coffee, makes derisive sounds, and calls everything ass and I am here for it.
Probably the only time I've seen someone actually source through without a big edit. Appreciate it! This is definitely about what I see around where I live as well. Nothing crazy at all...

His ass brand comments were making me laugh out loud!
@@Secondwindoregon Me too!
I laughed so much during this video. Every day I thrift I'll just be saying Ass Brand in my head and it'll make it more fun Thanks man! lol
Right? It shall become thrifting cannon

Yes, informative and hilarious. I laughed out loud and I needed that this morning. But I wonder how Matt really feels about CK?
I'm with you lol now I can't get ass brand out of my head !!! But from watching his videos , I am learning a lot . Prefer mens to womens because I do know the mall brands !
I laughed out loud at your mirror reflection! Loved this video. Educational. Appreciate the insights. Please do more like this!
That made me spit my coffee out just now… lmao. He’s great. I had to rewind the mirror shot several times. The teeth too… hahaaaa 🤓
Really liked this video. Please do more of these!

Love your no b.s, no sugar coating videos! Thank you for spitting out Henley shirt, I needed to know that!
Thank you for going through the trash and teaching us along the way.
Love, love, love this style of video (and commentary) women’s clothing would be great as well. Keep up the good work 😄

I'm happy u made this video today. As I had a rough day at the thrift store yesterday. It was all trash. Lol
Thank you for doing what you do.
I think you have become my favorite RUclipsr/Reseller/Comedian in the span of one video. I have never subscribed to someone so quickly before. Where have you been my whole RUclipsr Reseller life?
I fix/rehang everything as I go along, too…even if it wasn’t my fault (even the trash brands!). 😆
Same here! Sometimes it feels like I work there. Customers will approach me all the time. Haha
I tend to agree with you on Michael Kors; however, I landed a great deal on 6 Michael Kors Hoodies all NWT. Sold all 6 within a week.
I hope you make more videos like this one. More helpful and humorous than a bolo find video. Only reseller that shows the true grind of sourcing. Love your work. Keep it up.
As a men's shirt reseller.. that slow speed was torture 😬🥱😜 my eyes were naturally scanning 10 shirts ahead 🤣
Thanks for the vid🤙💪

BEST VIDEO EVER! Hubby and I were laughing out loud! Thanks so much for making these thrifting videos entertaining!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for taking the time to show us these brands and potential value. I love the word pictures you use to describe each brand 🤣
Love the video, thanks for the education and entertainment. Great commentary, cracks me up. most of my life my work wear has been t shirts and casual wear, so you breaking down all the brands is awesome. i like the format with you hanging out in the corner with a cup of coffee, chillin

Love your commentary about bin pickups vs racks. Really helpful since I shop both.
This was one of the most entertaining thrift video i have seen. Please keep it up!
Love this format and the voice over is awesome. Cant wait for part 2. And hopefully more categories with this format. Great job.
OMG I love this video. Been watching for awhile now and I absolutely am killing myself laughing at your reviews of these clothing brands! This is my favorite video of all time. The sound effects make it!!! And totally on point. Save Khaki is a terrific brand!!!!
Goodwill bins hunt would be fun to see as well.
I enjoy all of your videos especially this one. I think you have hit on something special here. Roasting tags!!!!! Genius!!! Keep doing what you do.
This made my day from the 1st second
This is the best reselling video I’ve ever seen! Please more of this style bro!
I am a visual learner. This was great. Looking forward to Part 2.
Very informative. I really like this style video. I am new at reselling clothing and currently trying to add it to my knowledge base, so for me this is a great way to learn.
Thanks for the narration so we can multi-task while learning!
Matt, your videos always brighten my day. I laughed out loud repeatedly. Thanks
Another great video! Great perspective of how it really is to dig through all the garbage to find a gem!
this is definitely an accurate description of sourcing at the thrift. mostly ass lol. And when im finding too much good stuff i start to get super skeptical trying to find that flaw lol
okay but I've been having a terrible day and your shot with the glasses in the mirror made me bust out laughing.........thank you so much.
Lol just love hearing you call everything trash. So reading my mind as I browse racks
Really loved this type of video! Please make this a regular type you do! So informative!
Brilliant video, Matt. I think you’re on to something here with the glasses, there’ll be copycats in the future, but I saw it here first. This really was a great format for teaching. Thanks for sharing.
Might be my all time favorite video of yours, but you have so many I like. 100% love this video!
Super helpful, love the format. Thanks!

I look forward to part 2.
I loved this format. I found it very informational! I also liked your comments. "CRAP" "BLECH" lol
This was a great video! I found a Figs scrub set on a new rack the other day and thought of you.
I have those same goofy glasses! I have never been able to get the framing right.
New go for $40+/- and used $30+/-
Abundant with solid gold brands….lol, yeah right! If only if it was that easy, I agree with you, not that easy. Good video!
Agreed. One day here and there can be exceptional, if the right person donates.
Loved this style of video! Even though I hate selling mens button up shirts because I hate photographing them! Someone gave me about 15 bugatchi Uomo shirts and when one sold (I could see the guy was a reseller) I just sent him all 15 and told him he could have them to sell, he was mind blown
Straight to the point.. No BS .. Ass junk Ass Bins
Love it
Thanks for keeping it real!
Enjoyed the video! I liked the pov footage and commentary!
I also am sipping coffee watching this! I love you! Between your knowledge and humor you have the audience. Between the "Ass" brands in this video and the booger in another, you are hysterical!
As always informational and funny! Great combo dude - never quit doing these!
Great tips but your sound effects had me laughing 😆 🤣 between trash and A$$ great video. Amazing idea with the glasses Love DC especially vintage but get video. Definitely do a mens jeans one that would interesting. Thank you again for the laugh 😆

Great perspective.
Happy to find your channel.
Great video.very helpful. Thank you for making it and please continue to make more.
This was funny. I liked the format.
Thank you :) This was very helpful.
Probably one of the best transparent videos I’ve seen but this is the truth of reselling
I laughed so much at your commentary on all the ass brands etc! Love it, keeping it real💗🇨🇦
Trash from an ass 😆 😆

You have such a wonderful vocabulary. Makes me curious as to what your profession was before you started reselling.
I wrote clickbait articles.
This is the most helpful thrifting video I've ever seen.
What a great idea for a video! New sub here. This is super important to show what real life thrifting looks like. Plus, I can use all the tips I can get. Keep them coming like this! I appreciate you.
Love the visceral reaction to any Kenneth Cole sighting 😅
TRUTH! "This is what thrifting is really like." I've been re-selling for years & haven't crossed over to full time income. Your videos are very helpful! And as always, stay kind! Stay vegan!
Great format!
I’m really enjoying your videos. I live in middle of nowhere Iowa. The trash is abundant. A$$ everywhere. The vintage single stitch tees are easy to find here though.
Thank you for making me laugh!! I love your helpful and funny videos! :)
Interesting, thanks for sharing
Loved this video! Like others commented I will be thinking ass brand with your voice in my head on my next thrifting trip 😅
That was super helpful!! I’ve learned so much from you!
Those glasses are hilarious! I won't say what you look like...but you can fill in the blank. 😂 Love this video format while you thrift with those *********** secret glasses!
Really found this useful.

Thanks, Matt for creating the spray of coffee on my laptop this morning. Could you be any drier?
After part 2 we will need a speed run version! Good stuff
I love this type of vid more please!!!
Dude, enjoying your channel. Your comment on the Kirkland shirt had me laughing my ass off.
I love when RUclipsrs show the reality of reselling when it comes to sourcing instead of the click bait BS.
Love this format☺️
