I would just like to note, this is the 2nd generation model. I have both the 2nd and 1st generation model. I find that the 1st generation has more battery life. The 2nd generation is setup for more bass with the bass boost, but the 1st generation generally has a higher quality sound. BUT, most importantly, the mic input on the 1st generation is completely transparent, great for guitar or any sound source that you want to have total control over. The mic input on the 2nd generation is VERY colored, with built in echo, reverb, and a volume gate that is NOT removable (basically made for karaoke and will NOT sound good with a guitar). Overall, I highly recommend buying a used 1st generation if you want a higher quality product. Also, there is NO manual available for either. And as far as I can tell, the "reset" button doesn't seem to really do anything except turn the product off. Thanks!
@@levilewelling I have the 1st gen and 2nd gen and YES, they will pair together via bluetooth in a stereo configuration (left and right). However, if you are playing guitar or doing anything that requires zero lag, keep in mind it's not ideal as there is a slight lag and decrease in quality when using bluetooth.
This one or the JBL encore (rv/birthday party)? I will need to use a microphone and my son just started playing the guitar. Thanks. Yes I highly recommend and would buy again do to the price, portability and ease of use.
Possibly, but I think the results wouldn't be promising. There is a pretty big difference in impedance between guitar jack and mic jack. On speakers like the JBL Partybox 310 there are two jacks for mics, but one can be used for guitar and has a button on it to turn it to guitar or mic impedance. The ENcore Essential and Onn Medium 2 only have a mic jack, no button to switch it to guitar.

Yes you can but the gen 1 will sound far better and outshine the gen 2. You will especially see the difference when hearing vocals and guitar. The gen 1 will simply blow it out of the water.
The bass is okay, but it doesn't have any real deep bass capability. I think when I was at walmart the other day they had these marked down to $71 or something like that.

If you're playing it on high volume which is likely, it lasted me about 3 or 4 hours on the bigger model I think. I did use the lights for maybe close to a couple of those hours the first time around. Second play on a fresh charge after letting it die completely and fully charging it, I played at same volume and less light time. Even with the less time with lights it didn't effect battery life much. It sounds good. Not impressive. I use it out doors paired to a projector. Sitting about 10 to 15 ft away you're gonna have have it still turned up higher. Sounds good for a affordable price. It's kinda so so when you factor in the practabilty of battery life.
