  • In this video I test out the new 2022 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T Sedan. This was a loaner vehicle for me to use from Valley Honda of Aurora, Illinois while my 2014 Honda Accord V6 Sedan was being worked on for the 104k mile valve adjustment service.
    In this review, I show the exterior and interior of the vehicle, show the engine, trunk, and test out the driving dynamics, do some pulls, including a 0-60 test, and test out the handling of the vehicle in comparison to my 2014 Honda Accord Touring V6 Sedan.
    Big thank to Valley Honda of Aurora, Illinois for letting me try out the new 2022 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T Sedan.

    I had to re-upload this video because my first video was missing a clip of video that showed the rear seat area of the vehicle, other than that, it is identical to the previous video. Oh and I noticed my camera lens filter had a few spots on it which showed up on video during bright sunlight, I will be sure to fix that for future videos as well.

    great video! but can the side mirrors fold?

    • @LousWRX
      @LousWRX  Год назад

      I didn't honestly check but from viewing the video and seeing how small and tiny the portion of the mirror that connects to the body, I'm wanting to say they don't, but not certain on that. For reference, the mirrors on my 2014 Honda Accord V6 Touring model do, so no reason to think they would remove this feature in newer model Accords.

      Did you try taking it into the dealership for Honda figure out what may be the issue? I certainly would, as it sounds like a communication issue between the car and key fob.

      The 1.5 Sport doesn’t come with keyless entry. The 2.0 Sport and the Special Edition (the next trim up) comes with it

    Is the 2.0T worth the decreased MPG versus the 1.5T???

    • @LousWRX
      @LousWRX  Год назад +4

      I would much rather own the 2.0T, also the 10 Speed Automatic is amazing. It is a little faster than my 14 V6 Accord, and also handles corners way better. I believe it gets around 34 mpg on the highway which is still sufficient enough when traveling.

    I think Google is out of their mind.. if you Google top speed for this accord it says it's at 116mph when clearly the speedometer says 160mph. There's no way it tops out at 116.

      The top speed on the 1.5T 10th Generation Honda Accord is 127 MPH with the manual transmission, link (scroll down near the bottom to specifications) www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a14498557/2018-honda-accord-sport-15t-manual-review/

      But the 10th generation Accord handles much better, and the 2.0T is just as fast as the V6, if not faster.

      @@LousWRX does the 2.0t engine sound like that too? I’ve heard that all accord with the turbo engine is pretty loud and because of the cvt too

    • @LousWRX
      @LousWRX  Год назад

      @@sunshinebaby4923 Yeah the loudness is because they are direct injection engines, so they use high pressure fuel rails and so the engine during idle can be louder than most vehicles. But there shouldn't be any created vibrations in the cabin of the vehicle. I've driven both the 1.5T and 2.0T version and they both driven very smooth, but definitely didn't experience any kind of vibrations.
      And I do think the 2.0T does have a slightly less noisy idle than the 1.5T, and also you get a 10 Speec Auto, which is world's better than the CVT, and earlier years 2.0T's came with a 6 speed manual even.

      @@LousWRX hey quick question, what’s the difference between the sport 2.0 vs ex-l 2.0? Does Engine runs the same or different features? Hard to pick which one to get

    • @LousWRX
      @LousWRX  Год назад

      @@sunshinebaby4923 The Sport 2.0T has a little less options to keep the prices down, I think it removes the heads up display, adaptive suspension, and rear heated seats. While the exl version usually come with heated seats, I think a slightly better radio, depending on options. The Touring model basically has all the gadgets and adjustable suspension settings, radar cruise control, lane departure warning, blid spot monitoring, front and rear heated seats, including ventilated cooled seats. Engine wise and transmission / is the same though. I'd personally go for 2.0T Sport for best value, it also carries less total weight, which can slightly help in performance.
