- The new 2022 Accord doesn’t disappoint continuing another year of Hondas outstanding reputation. This Accord is equipped with the Sport package with the 1.5L Turbocharged 4cylinder matted to its CVT transmission. A beautiful car with a price that won’t break the bank. Enjoy the In-Depth Honda review! #honda #accord #cvt #sport #sedan #review
I think these are way better than the new 2023 accord
Update: I just got one of these for myself
Couldn’t agree more man! I love this generation!!
I second that. Got the 2022 Sport like the one in this video, in blue and I love it.
Hell yea these are so goated
I totally agree I got a this exact vehicle
Coming from a 2013 , I naturally wanted to go with the 2023 but that hybrid weak motor turmed me away. Now looking at a 22’ . Or might go a different route with a Beamer SUV
That color on the Accord is just damn beautiful in full sunlight. I’m always blown away by it every time I see one in Sonic Gray and Crystal Black
Honda has really out done themselves! Glad we’re on the same page lol
I still love my 2022 HONDA ACCORD SPORT SPECIAL EDITION, (in the still night pearl color). I have owed it for just over a year, and so far, I have put over 10,000 miles on the odometer, and so far, so good. It has been 100% reliable with NO oil dilution issues at all. It has very good passing power. No squeaks, no rattles, and it held up great during some very cold and snowy weather we recently had in my state (Ohio). I would totally recommend this car for anybody looking for a good-looking, sporty but practical car for all of your daily driving needs. My rating 10/10. By the way, this was a very well-done video. PEACE.
Appreciate the commentary brotha! I could not agree with you anymore on that.
I got my 2022 Honda Accord Sport Edition 1.5T last week in the platinum white pearl with black leather interior, and it’s just beautiful. I’ve been reviewing other videos on the SE and I appreciated your video, too. Many thanks!
Of course! Honda makes a great sedan! Enjoy your new accord.
me too its the best color in my opinion and its also my first car that comes in white. loving it!
@@roostercall7772
I’ve already had 2 Hondas, this is my 3rd, and they’ve all been white! Best ageless color evah for a Honda, IMHO!!!
Used to steal babywipes at dollar tree no job , worked my ass off finally, now rolling up in this same exact year and color, love it ,i haven't put any tint yet because i want everyone seeing me in this muthafukaa 😂 also get alot of compliments of this color, hard work does pay off , didn't think like that before.
😂😂🔥
Personally, I like the black headliner inside the Sport 1.5 which is not available on the Special Edition. I also like the cloth seats, as it doesn’t get too hot during summer and too cold during winter. Adding the remote start hack on the normal 1.5 makes it even better.
The lower end sport is honestly the best way to go with everything you need plus some more. Saves on the money too with this inflation!
@@BuiltTough1776 fully ageee
What is the remote start hack?
@@Miissmaarie the hack is that the EX trim keyfob (with remote start) can be programmed to work with the Sport trim.
Great review! Got mine 3 weeks ago in Crystal Black Pearl and I’m loving it! Looking forward to getting tints soon.
Thank you! Can’t go wrong with a Honda!!
How much for tints?
I bought a cpo 2018 2.0t a couple month a go for 26 grand cad.Its a fantastic car that Im gonna keep until I die.I dont see anything that I could replace it with since everything in this class is going either hybrid or ev.Sad thing they got rid of the 2.0t for the accord.
Great video! Btw, CVT's have been around for a while. As for the Honda Accord. I had a 1995 back in the day. Absolutely loved that car. It was a 5-speed stick, pretty much loaded. Never had to worry about reliability.
Hello thank you for explaining the CVT I had a Nissan and recently purchase this same vehicle… this was helpfull😊
I have a 1.5t in the family here, bone stock. For fun, I raced an 08 Tiburon GT v6 at brisk highway speeds with a cooperative and fun driver. Dead nuts depending who gets the jump first. Pretty impressive for the CVT "dud" version of this big boat.
Looks are subjective, but I love the 10th gen Sport trim design. Accord is certainly the best handling mainstream sedan with excellent fuel economy and stellar resale value. Don’t take my word for it… Accord is the most awarded vehicle in Car and Driver 10Best history by a wide margin… an unprecedented 36 times! 🔥
I’m with you man all the way! There’s a reason why Ford quit selling all their cars and just focused on SUV’s and Truck’s. The Japanese can design and build a damn good sedan!
Thanks for the explanation on the CVT really helped, just a little suggestion would be the spare tire info, beside that great vid and car as well
As a technician the 1.5 liter engines require the new GF6 oil that is made for the GDI turbocharged engines and to change the oil’s every 5000 miles no exceptions.
Most definitely. I always do an oil change on any of my vehicles at 5,000! Thanks brotha
Would the oil filter matter?
Also, can we put a full synthetic 0 weight oil?
@@rlbnll123 same oil filter and the same oil rating weight of oil but the bottle must say Gf6 on it.
@@ouis-xv3vp got it! Thank you!
Call me old school i have been changing my oil every 3500 miles and using high octane gas on mine 👍
Thank you, you helped me out a lot. Great review 👍🏾 And if I had to grade your trash talking of every car that passed you’d get an A++++ 😂
Honda and Toyota make the most reliable cvt transmissions in the automotive industry.
Most definitely!!
How do these do in the winter?
Enough room in the trunk for 2 12 speakers n groceries 👍🏾💯😍
Thanks for the video Adam!
I try to pump some out when I can! Just haven't had much of the time lately
how tall are you? I am 6'6 and trying to find a good car that will fit me, still want to stay in the honda family and heard these are good.
I’m 6’4 and honestly man it’s completely doable. Headroom is fine and leg room as well. Definitely would recommend to at least have a power driver seat so you can lower it for us tall fellas!
Just got mine last Thursday in silver. I love it. I personally didn’t like the new 2023 model
I’m with you there that Gen of Accord is by far my favorite!
Hello. You never mentioned the cost of the 2022 Honda sport? Shopping for one now
The sticker for this accord was mid $28,000 after Texas taxes a little over $30k
@@BuiltTough1776 thank you! Found a brand new 2022 accord sport with 7 miles for 29 k in miami
Just curious 1.5 T Sport,, No Sunroof??
Is that how they come out in the US?
Thanks for the review. Recommend you speed up your vids a little bit. Positive feedback here, again thank you for the review your good overall just a little bit s l o w.
I am thinking of buying a used 2022 Accord. I have owned a few Hondas (1998 Civic EX, 2000 Accord EX-L V6, 2009 Civic, 2016 Pilot AWD Elite all brand new from the dealer except the 2009 civic I bought that used in 2012 drove it for 3 years and it ran like a champ). Honda makes good stuff. I currently have a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland (with the 5.7L Hemi) and a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover R-Dynamic SVR Velar with the 5.0 Supercharged V8 (whew ridiculously long name). Anyway I am thinking of selling the Jeep and getting a Used Honda Accord or CR-V. Trying to get out of car payments. Anyway thanks for the review, there are many 22 Accords available in my area and YOUR review was very helpful.
Review some EVs like the 2024 Kia EV9 ! Thank you brother !
Hot damn it beautiful color beautiful car
beautiful car man. i have mines in the 2.0T 6 speed manual ✨ ✨ ✨
Oh dude that’s a sweet ride man!
@@BuiltTough1776 who you tellin 😃. since 2018 until now i only have 5,500 miles on it so i'm really trying to preserve it for the long run 😁
Good video man
What was the price you paid? ! Sticker!?
Yes sir, we paid sticker. A little over 30k after tax. MSRP was mid $28,000
I got ripped off by mahwah
Does the 2022 have the oil dalution issued
i love my 2022 honda accord 😊
Really good car for a small engine and cvt
FYI those factory tires are mediocre at best, oh and btw there is not a shortage of black valve stem caps,,, green means it was filled with Nitrogen instead of regular air. To keep a more constant psi pressure
That Door latch with the deep USB plugs is just engineers being assholes!
I have a 22 same trim no heated side view mirrors
I wouldn't have a problem at all buying and owning this car it's good value for the money. I prefer the gray or blue exterior, no black seats for me, gray interior is good. I'm considering when it's time to buy a car, either the CRV, a Kia Sorento or maybe a Mitsubishi Outlander. Not sure which one. I like the looks of all three. The Accord is a good looking car and reliable but I'm thinking of something that sits up a little higher. I haven't owned an automatic transmission in years and I've never had power windows or power door locks. It would all be new to me.
I would certainly recommend to you a CR-V or RAV4. Both have dependable CVT & Hybrid models. A little more up front, but in the long run it'll pay off.
Epic cinematics
Thanks buddy
do you know the name for the usb cover thingy in the back? mine recently broke and I’m trying to find a cover replacement 😅
I would say look up (rear center console usb outlet cover for Honda Accord your year model).
@@BuiltTough1776 Thank you I found it but I’m not sure if it’s going to come with the parts that makes it stay still
Why do you say the 1.5 isn’t reliable? Do you think the 2.0 is better?
Our past 2 accords have had this same 1.5t and have been mechanically sound (perfect). People just like to talk bad on them about the head gaskets and a few other things! We don’t necessarily abuse our stuff and maintenance is key!
Does the 2020 or 2021 sport have the wheel liner fabric/carpet?
Both should
@@BuiltTough1776
Fire retardant, right?
6'4 you are a tall long legged man.
No mirror indicator led lights.
Are these babies available in South africa
Sonic gray
Oh yeah very class leading. From a hideous exterior to blown head gaskets galore
Very classy 👏 👏
Your hilarious! Probably drive a Volkswagen…

26:25 GAD DAMN BIRD 😡 🐦
They going to stop making those cars. The 2023 has came out now
I know it, we got one of the last few before the new redesign.
@@BuiltTough1776 Me, too. I got my 2022 Honda Accord Sport Edition 1.5T just last week - love it!
CVT is reliable until 100k. Then they're good
Haha yup basically
why and how? whats wrong with cvt? was it because of oil dilution?
12:30
when your voice gets higher , that's when I knew it wS crap..who's paying yu off
Lmao! That doesn’t make much since, but ok…And clearly somebody is paying me off when I said we have been loyal Honda owners and bought this car to just make a review and that’s it..
super quiet on the road? 🤣🤣 yeah right, as long as the road is carpeted
Don’t know what you’re talking about man.. Huge improvement
@@BuiltTough1776 oh i didn't say it wasn't an improvement over what you had before, just sayin' it's not super quiet. i have the same car n color for over 2yrs and love it to death, but there's lots of road noise on old pavement and concrete roads, it's pretty quiet on newly black tarmac tho. oh and the sound system sucks, but i knew all that going in because i did 2yrs of research before buyin.
Yeah the road noise is pretty horrible. The other issue I hate is that when the tire pressure comes on it doesn’t indicate which tire is low. Otherwise I love my 2022 sport! ❤
I had the ‘21 Accord sport. Exact same color and everything. Just traded it in for a ‘22 Toyota Camry SE. I will never buy another Honda that has that horrible 1.5T Engine and even worse CVT transmission. I have a friend who is a mechanic and he says those engines are failing at a free fall rate. The Head Gaskets are going and the transmissions are weak.
Well we service ours early and just traded in our 2020 LX with same powertrain. Never skipped a beat and we will continue to always choose Honda. Yes, I know the 2.0 liters have better reputation with the 10 speeds. We wanted a CVT still…
@@BuiltTough1776 Good luck
I gave one and it's a dog ..unresponsive and shittty ecelleraration
@@georgemarsilio5122 hey Georgie, never heard a car that “exellerates” as you put it…care to elaborate? As for the vehicle, the 22 Accord Sport SE which I own is an absolute beast. Clean acceleration, smooth shifting between gears, and corners nicely….only bad part is that it garners a lot of attention from the females, which may get me in trouble…
