Great review Joe. I bought a 1.5 sport with 6spd manual. It is not uncommon for me to see 45mpg on my mixed daily commute to work. Quite surprising! What drives me CRAZY is the lack of smart entry key fobs I’m used to having. :/
I have the exact same car. Agreed about having to use the fob to unlock the door. My previous car was an '09 Altima 2.5s (second to lowest trim) and IT even had an unlock button on the door handle. I thought that would be a standard feature on all car trims by now.
I’m annoyed it doesn’t have blind spot monitoring. I use my mirrors and glance over my shoulder anyway but for a 2020 car at over 27k, they should have included it!
So true! I have a 98 Honda Accord EX 2.3 Liter. The engine died in the middle of the week. I purchased the 2019 Sport 1.5T. Still in shock because of all of the advanced technology. Love it!
Should i buy the accord sport 2.0 where there are more cars of that trim or where there are less? There's 2 Honda dealerships near my house. One dealership has 8 Sports 2.0 and the other dealership has 25.
The only thing that bothers me when buying this car The taillights, they have aftermarket for this problem. Super nice!! Push button start but not smart entry most of the competitors offer that as standard in this price range, except Honda and Toyota
Have the same vehicle in the hybrid format and just love this car. Recently i did some mods recommended by Honda Jon and the upgrade makes this a much better vehicle.
Just picked one of these 2019 Accord Sport 1.5T in Steel. Actually getting the windows tinted today. Plenty of good things such as the Instrument Cluster, the 1.5T motor is legit, seats are fantastic and it drives phenomenal. Great solid vehicle. I went from 2016 Civic EX.
4:15 it's not just for looks. If you look underneath, there's a ton of drip from DI on pipes. Detaching is what prevents goo from being visible. Pretty good attention to detail.
Joe, you & I don't always agree, although we are in accord with this model... it is value priced. Of course, as you know, the Sport is simply a base model with better wheels/tires and badging.... to get the sunroof, turn signals on the mirrors, heated mirrors, nicer interior, etc., one must step-up to the EX or EX-L. I purchased a new Accord Sport in 2015, one year later traded for a new 2016 EX-L V6; the difference between those two vehicles is quite noticeable... I love the '16 with the V6. The dealership tried to get me to trade my '16 for a '19, but I did not want to give up the V6 and, in my opinion, the tail of the '19 Accord looks too much like a Civic. Perhaps my next car will be the new Acura Type-S (2020??) which is suppose to feature a V6 turbo; looking forward to seeing your review of the new Acura S when it becomes available. Thanks
@joel Rodriguez But the accord is a 4cylinder just has a turbo and the 4 cylinder Camry makes about the same power with out the turbo just has a bigger 4 cylinder engine 🤦♂️
I have this same car in lunar silver with the 1.5t cvt. Really great car, I've added a piggy back tuner and intake, its pushing out another 3.5 pounds of boost over stock. Pretty close to that 2.0

Just traded a 2014 Accord with a CVT, always kind of worried abut reliability but really thought it was a very smooth transmission. Just bought a 2019 Touring model, 10 speed is amazing. BMW, Mercedes and the like in the size class has nothing over this car.
My 2018 Accord sport 1.5t recently had a carbon build up issue. It has 20k miles. Regular oil changes at Honda. They had to replace the fuel injectors and do a full clean. Has anyone experienced this with the 1.5t?
192 hp, a CVT transmission with a 0-60 time of over 7 seconds and an engine that sounds like a leaf blower... and they have the guts to call this a “Sport”?? Camry with a 300+hp V6 for me thanks!
@@scott77775 I wouldn't say a lot faster, definitely AS FAST. The 2.0T in my opinion is a perfect car. It is quiet, sporty, roomy, no weakness. Plus it is built like a bank vault, the car jus exudes quality. You can get a 2.0T Sport for $28k here in NY. How much more do you have to pay to get a V6 Camry?
Pendejo!! that's the smaller engine of the accord, there is a 2.0 sport engine that smokes the Camry anyday of the week. Look for videos here on youtube!!!
Obviously, this is another indisputable quality and value product from Honda. Folks, you just can’t go wrong with this vehicle...especially with Honda reliability! It’s 99.5% family sedan IMHO!!!
I bought a 2019 1.5ltr Sport model when it came out. I absolutely love the car, with two exceptions; #1- Honda needs to add some sound insulation; I've been on rougher road surfaces while talking on the phone hands free, and people have asked me if I have the windows down-- yeah, loud. #2- The CVT- not lovin' it, however, it is smooth and unobtrusive, but I'd much rather see even a 6spd auto. That being said, there is SO much value in this car; it's an absolute joy to drive, there's tons of room, the steering and handling is superb, and gas mileage is fantastic for such a 'large' car (+/- 27 mpg City -- 36-37 mpg Hwy. Keep up the good work, Honda, but please, at least give us a 'sound insulation' package!
Owner of a 2008 v6 and lifelong Honda fanboy... I can’t believe how much value and performance is packed into these new Accords. The price is still the same as I payed 11 years ago!
Yes, I remember back in 2000 an Accord EX-L V6 was around $25k. Now the EX-L 2.0T is around 29k but you get so much more for your can. Adjusted for inflation we consumers are making out like bandits !
Hi raitisrides, ive watched all your brz and 86 videos. Still stuck between the two. Hopefully you can make a video comparing the two side by side (2019)
Wow, really? That’s why I was opting for the ‘19 over the ‘18. I wanted to avoid the bugs and issues that usually follow a design change. Oh well, the search continues. Definitely want no parts of the oil dilution issue.

I am personally a Camry person because I am a Toyota fan boy, but I have respect for the accord due to its comparable insane reliability with the Camry
Fabian Vazquez Yes agreed! But the Honda has had problems with their turbos...so it is not reliable. Also Honda’s CRV has had problems with their Turbos and oil dilution problems..
I have a 2019 sport Honda manual transmission, I love it, wish he would have been in a manual Accord 2019, mine is white, bought the only manual on the lot!
I think the 1.75 is the better value. The 3/4 HP increase is pleasant surprise under acceleration. Sick of all these bullshit companies calling cars performance or sport when it doesn't mean shit under the hood. The only performance that matters to them is their stocks & P and L. Just my rant for today carry on.
In your opinion would you rather get the Accord sport or the Accord hybrid? They are similar in price but the hybrid has more power and better MPG. But in the sport, you get nicer wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel, Apple CarPlay, and adjustable seats. I’m having a hard time decide!!
Hi Travis! Personally I would go with the Sport because of the way that it drives. Yes getting better fuel economy is great but for me I like to have an engaging time while I am driving and you get more of that with the Sport!
The fake exhaust vents and the stupid button gear selector on the 2.0T are a deal breaker. The 1.5T is too slow which is ok for a daily driver but coupled with a cvt that's a double ZONK!

I like it. Looks like a nice commuter car
Good in 3 sectors
1. Power and torque
2. More mileage
3. Reliable and You will get more than you pay.
Absolute wise choice
Blown headgasket and failed injectors.
192 hp, a CVT transmission with a 0-60 time of over 7 seconds and an engine that sounds like a leaf blower... and they have the guts to call this a “Sport”??
Camry with a 300+hp V6 for me thanks!
Thank you for your input and perspective! I really appreciate your watching!
Mike Zerker yeah and cost more . I’m not paying $30k+ for a camry v6 you got me shook
The 2.0T Sport is as fast or faster than the V6 Camry.
AGREED!
Love the new Accord 😍
I am so glad that I could share it with you!
The biggest flaw with this 🚗💨 is that CVT transmission if you like to haul ass. If you're just a cruiser it's a perfect 🚗💨
Lmaoo I love when you reference food like the the pretzels and planters peanuts in this vid XD
Thanks for letting me share the laughs with you!
Honda has the best mpg. But Honda needs to work on body. Over all it’s good car.
👍💯video💯👍
It will be interesting to see where they take the design!
@@RaitisRides Need to smooth out the back. To blocky for me. Camry gets the win for now.
Thank You Almighty God for blessing me I will buy one for myself
Hi raitisrides, ive watched all your brz and 86 videos. Still stuck between the two. Hopefully you can make a video comparing the two side by side (2019)
That is a great idea! I would go BRZ.
Does this car still have oil dilution problems????
27K? I must have gotten a good deal than. Got mine for under 23K
27k is sticker on the 1.5T. I got my 19 2.0T for 26650. Sticker on mine was 31630.
@@scott77775 tou haf rebate or you talked them down
@@brascoejohnson5464 talked em down to 27900 then got 500 military cash and 750 Honda Loyalty
What model did you get bro, I'm thinking of getting a 1.5l just don't know if I want the sport
Oil dilution in the 1.5 Turbo has not been fixed, people should be made aware of this.
Wow, really? That’s why I was opting for the ‘19 over the ‘18. I wanted to avoid the bugs and issues that usually follow a design change. Oh well, the search continues. Definitely want no parts of the oil dilution issue.
Rims, Color, Front Fascia are a definite go for me. everything else is meh. But as always Joe and the Raiti's ride family, i enjoyed the video!
Thanks for letting me share another one with you!
Joe, great channel! Zonk it bro! Just Zonk it! Seriously though - can you get some local Tampa sponsors? Like a local coffee spot to test out the cup holder.
That would be a great idea! Thank you for your awesome support!
Nice review, just a small correction tho, its 29/35 not 24/35. Thanks for the informative review man !
Thanks for the extra info!
I usually don’t like the black on black interior doors but because it’s a Honda I like it. 😂😂

Great overview Raiti's Rides!! Buying one for my son tomorrow and that video was great. I told him to watch it!!!!
Thanks Joan! That is so great to hear! Thank you for the compliment!
I dreamed of the day you reviewed the Accord in the San Marino Red color ! 😍😍😂😂
I am glad that I could make it happen for you Dante!
Thanks for your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
@@JJustinXu Toyota has been having a lot of problems with their 8-Speed auto. Fanboy much?
I loved when he said, “these guys here, ch ch ch ch,” when he got to the tail lights, lol!!! I was dead 💀!! Great review, though.
Thanks for letting me share the laughs with you!
Raiti's Rides appreciate it, Joe. Thanks for these accurate reviews.
I have a 19 accord sport 1.5T in white. Great car. Should've added parking sensors
Whats the difference between the 2018, 2019 & 2020 Honda Accord Sport 1.5t?
I’m getting this year and model within a 2-3 weeks.. in white.
Four years ago today! This still my top pick.
I have a 2019 sport Honda manual transmission, I love it, wish he would have been in a manual Accord 2019, mine is white, bought the only manual on the lot!
You have a keeper for sure Patricia
Both are beautiful, but If you wanna do Lyft or uber, I think the Camrys more ideal. Look at the cabs, they're mostly camrys
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
Thanks for your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
Hi Joe. Great channel. You’re going to be big time! What do you currently drive as your daily driver?
Thanks for saying that! I have a Subaru WRX STI Type RA.
Joe please review the 2.0T with the 10 speed auto! If you havent already im not sure, i think you would enjoy that one!
Thanks for the suggestion! You are so very right, because I filmed a blue one.
What's the button under the E brake? Is that the Brake hold?
1.5T 6 speed is the way to go. 2.0T 6sp much better
I love this car
I am so glad that I could share it with you!
Honda ran these sport wheels for 5 years straight 😂
No!!!! The Touring 2.0 is the one to go!
It's always nice to have options!
No, I just know everything about this car.
Broo i love this car , i am gonna buy someday
2.0 sunroof gang n blindspots
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and input.
@@RaitisRides review IS350 F
Stay tuned!
The fake exhaust vents and the stupid button gear selector on the 2.0T are a deal breaker. The 1.5T is too slow which is ok for a daily driver but coupled with a cvt that's a double ZONK!
J D Sounds like you bought the slow one, bro!
@@jd3980 oh ok bro so you bought 2 daily drivers bro good on you bro lol anyway just because you bought an Accord doesn't mean everyone's gotta love it. The 2.0t variant not a bad car at all just the aesthetics ain't for everyone.
My Tete has the exact one cvt it’s nice.
Very cool! I am sure they like it!
41mpg on freeway at 70M/h with 3 adult total 580 lbs.
