I installed this product. The drawer closes great but it’s tight coming out. Should I put that block on the back because I don’t have the back screw in? Otherwise how do I adjust it so it pulls out as smooth as it goes in?
Yes the block in the back serves 2 purposes: support and alignment. I had a gap so that's why i installed that block there. Some drawers have no gap and installs way easier.
Well when you pull the drawer, you’re not always pulling at a flat plane, so sometimes you’ll tend to pull it at a diagonal angle. And if your drawer is light, you’ll tend to pull up on it unless you have perfectly cut openings to fit your drawers, then you will not have to worry about this.
This is great advice. Good video, John!
Great tips. Thanks for sharing them.

Thanks I will try that
Subscribed! John, do you feel tension when opening the drawers? Is it a little hard to open compared to without this soft close adapter?
Yes all the ones that I’ve tried have some kind of tension, even the expensive preinstalled ones. The heavier draws will feel less tension.
Thanks John!
Why are you pulling up on the drawer to open it?

Ok 👍
ha! awesome! thanks!
What thickness block did you use for the slide attached to the cabinet?
Honestly I don't remember =) It probably won't be the same size for yours anyways.
