  • On today’s exploration, I’m taking you down to the Gulf of Mexico to explore an abandoned $26,000,000 mega mansion rumored to be once owned by a powerful drug lord in the Mexican Cartel.
Built in 2000, this 13.5K sqft mansion sits on a whopping 10 acres of land, has 6 bedrooms, a 25 car garage, an elevator, and a full sized gym. If that’s enough, it also has a 2.5 acres of private beach land and a gated driveway that’s a quarter mile long for intercostal access.
It’s almost unimaginable that such a place exists, let alone, abandoned.
Despite the risks of being arrested for trespassing or the threat of squatters living inside, we had to see this place for ourselves. So let’s explore this mysterious modern mansion and get a taste of what it must have been like experience such an elegant home.

I still can’t believe that there is millions buried somewhere on that beach that they could not retrieve before they went and sadly died in prison.. They apparently told family about the money but they could find it.. Almost a billion dollars just buried somewhere on the beach.

I’m new to this channel when I saw this home I knew who it belonged to at one time-my husbands ex-boss (he was an oil man) when they built this home it costed his ex boss $50 million (my husband helped build it-trust me when I tell you it was a gorgeous home once they were done with it and it was furnished-we’ve spent several summers there and I was mind blown by it) the home was sold within the last 10-12 years but don’t know who bought it from his ex boss. have cost or the amount of money on just furniture alone! Can you imagine furniture shopping
to fill that whole house? You know they probably had to have the best of everything so Im
assuming the furnishings alone would have cost more than the mansion did.

The kitchen was placed to the left when you walk into the main room. It was right next to the red room toward the beginning of the exploration. You can see markings on the floor where there was once counters and appliances installed.

@@kayemaxfield6271 I wondered about that. Even if owned by the wealthy many individuals lost a lot financially when the 2008 -2009 housing market, financial institutions, stock markets etc. crashed. Or possibly the owner became ill & or (God Forbid) a death occurred & money was placed in probate. We may never know the full reason why this home was lost. Thank You for your insight & information!

I cannot get over when watching your videos that in every one whether rich or not, there is a story of how opulence or order are turned into ruins by a scourge, blight of society that urinates, trashes what is not theirs to even violate. Reminds me of an emergency preparedness/military expression, 72 hours to animal. Hell, even animals don't destroy their dens. This one was fascinating.

The city in which this home is located just issued a "100% demo" permit on 1/31/2023. Looks like it was purchased by a property holdings company who plans to subdivide the land for luxury homes all with deeded beach access.

FYI there are dozens of cartels operating in mexico, so to say that the house was owned by "the cartel" is like saying that someone works for "the company" if you dont know the specific cartel, you can just say "a cartel"
