You really did great in this video, such a strong & brave person. As your mom, Of course, I was worried, thinking of how young you are to have cancer. But going to that conference, was a huge Blessing🙏 God made it happen for you to be there.

I can't stand it when someone says "its not not a serious cancer" and " it's the best cancer to have", as no cancer is fun or easy.

I'm going on 45 & had thyroid cancer back when I was 24. Initially cancer was never suspected. I had a pocket in one lobe that kept filling with fluid. I had it drained 2x by FNA, nothing suspicious was found. They took out the one lobe & sent it off for testing. Never heard from but couldn't shake the feeling something was wrong. Good thing I trusted my gut. Called the surgeon to inquire was told if anything was wrong they would have contacted me. She pulled up the file & the horror in her voice when she said "nobody contacted you?". That was how I found out I had both papillary & follicular thyroid cancer. Was going to have to wait a cpl months for the swelling to go down from the 1st surgery & then they would remove the other lobe. This time no cancer but it had gone autoimmune & had Hashimotos. No idea which came 1st & then 10yrs later I was diagnosed with Celiac. I was treated with radio active iodine to make sure everything was gone cancer wise. Almost 20yrs cancer free. On life long synthroid as well. Thank you for sharing your story. One thing I'm curious about with the scar did they change the way they remove the thyroid? My scar was at the base not higher up or does that depend on case by case basis?

Thanks for telling your story Kendra; you were and are very brave. My thyroid story goes wayyyy back.....Nov. 22, 1963, the day that President Kennedy was killed. My Dr. had asked me a couple weeks previously "how long have you had this lump on your neck?" and i answered "what lump?" I was 19 years old and already the mother of 3 children and needless to say i was terrified. My parents came 600 miles to look after the kids and into the hospital i go and i was told my surgery went well. By the time i was allowed to go home there were no more tv broadcasts about Kennedy. He was my hero and i felt i was the only person on earth who hadn't been able to watch it much to my dismay. My scar was almost ear to ear and covered with gauze for several weeks. I was embarrassed and ashamed to have to do the grocery shopping and all with my 3 little kids while everyone looked horrified as they stared at me, maybe wondering if an ax killer was nearby, lol. It healed eventually of course but i was still worried about it and so i felt that area many times every day and one day about 6 months later i found another lump, called the Dr. and i was back in the hospital again. Second time around all went well but of course embarrassing because of how everyone nearby reacted to the sight of it all over again. I kept feeling my neck for about 20 years after that and all has been well ever since and so i finally stopped checking it out. I take 200 mcg of Synthroid every day although i feel that it's not strong enough as i'm always cold even in the summer; long sleeves, long pants, warm socks up to my knees and i'm still cold and uncomfortable but my Dr. says no to an increase. I am going on 80 next Feb and glad to still be here. Best wishes to you Kendra!

I'm always for patients educating themselves. Doctors often don't have the time to do all that research and have been known to miss things or misdiagnose, sometimes for years. Nobody should be that dependent on one source of information. Luckily your doctor interpreted the results correctly and gave you adequate treatment. You have to realize nowadays that insurance reimbursement plays a part in how aggressively a doctor pursues a problem and most doctors no longer work for themselves but for somebody else who owns the practice.

    Hi Kendra,
I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably.
I would like to share the diet with you.
    The soup
Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat.
Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready.
I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame.
(Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.)
During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame.
It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you.
I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that you will be healed. Amen.
I would also like to share the following six videos with you about salvation and two videos about evolution:

Now I’m 40, the past year or 2, my labs are all over the place. My u/s from 6 months back showed my largest nodule was a mixed solid. U/s last month shows a complex nodule. Had biopsy today. Wish me luck.

Last year radiology determined one suspicious. I repeated the ultrasound yesterday. The suspicious thyroid has increased in size. I read the report myself. He related the message to my oncologist that it needs to be biopsied..I see oncology tomorrow for my blood work for my ovarian cancer. I'm freaking out. I just hope he doesn't put off doing the needle thing to test it.

You are so beautiful! Just gorgeous! Your hair is amazing, I don't blame you for playing with it, lol. I used to have very thick hair too but now that I'm older (63) it's thinned & gray. The blue-black color is stunning. It's perfect for your complexion (I saw your earlier vids where you were blonde & that color doesn't do you justice, although you're beautiful regardless of the color). Btw, I love your eyebrows too (my daughter has shapley brows like you, I was never so fortunate).Believe when people say they wouldn't have noticed that scar .. it's hardly visible. I've had hypothyroidism since I was 25 & it's hard to find the right dosage of medication. Mine always ends up out of whack. I've been worried recently about my thyroid perhaps having nodules or something because I notice one side is much larger than the other (I think it's my thyroid I'm seeing). I can't figure out exactly where my thyroid is. Is is located right where your scar is? Because what I'm seeing is lower than that, more like at the base of my neck. Anyway, just wanted to tell you this is one of the most informative vids on thyroid cancer I've seen, & I really appreciate that. Also thought you should know your beauty is compelling.

My mother is sick with breast cancer, and I cannot afford the treatment expenses. I was also sick before her with social phobia and depression, and my psychological condition became difficult to the stage of thinking about suicide. I endured my illness for 15 years, but the mother came all my life in the world 😭, because she sacrificed for me from a young age. My father died in 1994, and she did not get married for me, even if she was young. We live in North Africa, with very severe difficulties, with difficult living and high prices. I feel that I am close to madness. I see my mother in front of me and I cannot do anything for her as I did. I hope To find a kind heart ❤ here,to treat my mom

I appreciate you sharing about your experience. I came across this video while I’m waiting on whether or not I have thyroid cancer. I already have primary hyperparathyroidism, and throughout my testing for that, they found thyroid nodules. I’m having an FNB this coming Tuesday. So, I am 52 years old, and have a family history of thyroid cancer (my brother had it about 10 years ago) and I am a personal survivor of Hodgkin Lymphoma of nearly 30 years. Part of the treatment for my cancer was radiation, and yes, my thyroid was exposed to the radiation with my treatments, which has also caused me to have hypothyroidism. So my cancer risk is greatly increased. The earliest I can get into see an ENT surgeon is February. Ugh!

I’m pretty sure something is going on because I do Keto, and my weight loss for the entire month of November has been only 2 lbs. Plus, I know pain isn’t normal. I’d love to have my FNA with Versad as I’m super nervous anyway (bipolar 2), with GAD. UGH.

And they said there was something on the throat, but it's been a long time. They prescribed me an antibiotic for reflux. Seemingly, it is a pharyngeal reflux with inflammation I have been taking an antibiotic for a long time and I do not see much improvement. I still have trouble swallowing food. It is massacre and bothersome. Thank you for your story what you told us. I greet you

I have chronic Pharyngitis in my throat for the last 1 month, I am taking all the medicines.
Infact, I didn't have any problems before taking medicines, no coughing, no pain nothing just that it felt something is stuck in my throat whenever I used to swallow my saliva. Swallowing food and water was not an Issue at all, only swallowing saliva created problems.
      .
I met the doctor and it was pharyngitis, he gave me medicines. I took meds for only 2 days and it started itching and hurting a lot(it didn't hurt even a bit earlier), after that I went to my doctor frequently. Even my neck got swollen up. He asked me for a blood test. It was found that my Eosinophils was 11%, it should be under 6%
He gave me more medicines for 1 month more. It has been 25 days now since I've been taking the medicines to lower my Eosinophils. Let's see what happens.
      .
      Update :
My Pharyngitis and swalloness are not going away, My throat burns and My neck hurts(most probably it's the thyroid that hurts). Please help. I am scared it might be a cancer. But I don't drink, smoke eat meat, anything.

Thanks for sharing this video and I'm glad you're well now. I've been dealing with multiple thyroid nodules and multiple thyroid cysts for many years now. In the past I've had several thyroid ultrasounds and several thyroid biopsies done over the years. My Pa just ordered another thyroid ultrasound that i will have done as soon as they call me. I have so many other health issues going on its not even funny and I'm sure it's related to my thyroid because ive seen alot of vidoes and heard so many other people's stories. I do believe that it all depends on what kind of insurance you have if you even have insurance and i say this because i have many nodules covering my thyroid along with many thyroid cysts as well and i know of other people who have less thyroid problems and they have they're thyroid taken out. I know every dr and specilaists are different as well and it's sad how our country treats people because we all should be treated the same. The Doctors think of youre blood levels on you're thyroid tests are okay then you're okay and that's simply not true. I also saw in you're statement i was reading that all you're labs came back normal but yet you still had cancer, so why do doctors think this i don't understand? Especially when you have multiple nodules and multiple cysts itself crazy. I don't know why doctors and specialists can't be more thorough. I mean I'm sure some are but then again a lot aren't. They really should educate themselves and take the time. But thanks for sharing and i hope everyone is well and God Bless everyone.

I have cysts too, but my doctor says they’re too small, he almost never addresses the cysts, is borderline dismissive about it.. I visit my endocrinologist every 3 months to check my thyroid function, I have hypothyroidism. I remind him of my cysts during my visits and insist on ultrasound every few months, so far they seem to be alright.. but I’m ever so worried about the nodules, my thyroid level is always within range though. I don’t know if I’m stressing myself out by googling and watching videos.. but then I also think, being informed prepares you for what is to come in the future.

You are so strong and brave sharing your story in such detail. Thank you. I had an ultrasound done in Oct for another issue and two large nodules were found so I had the FNa. The nodule on the right had adequate cells but it’s still not clear if the nodule is cancerous and the left nodule was too deep to obtain an adequate sample so they are recommending further testing. My primary is away on paternity leave until early Feb so I decided to wait til I see him to discuss what tests I should have…someone I know is having thyroid cancer surgery this week because it’s spread to her lymph nodes. She recommends that I have a PET scan. Do you have any thoughts you could recommend of what type of tests to incur going forward? If you cannot give out this information, I will understand. I just wanted you to know how helpful you are for those that hits so close to home. All the best to you!,

I have lupus so the doctor wanted to check if my blood vessels were not damaged. They weren't however he said I have multiple sizeable nodules on my thyroid. I just had the ultrasound and they are on the right lobe and are pretty decent size. One measured at 1.7 cm. I am waiting for the FNA and I am a little concerned. I do have some calcification and I have very high calcium levels in my blood which hasn't decreased. Should I be concerned? What advice would you give me? I am sorry I know it is pretty vague. My right lobe is 3x the sz of the left, and one of the nodules is bigger than my whole left lobe. It is solid, no halo. Longer, than wide.

I felt a lump on the right side my neck by accident, so I had Ultrasound done. My GP contacted me for an urgent appointment and told me I might have thyroid cancer. It still hard to believe this is happening. I'm going to do a biopsy soon. Thank you for your video. It gives me some strength to face what's coming.

@@nasteha874 it was papillary thyroid cancer. I have had a total thyroidectomy and still waiting for RAI treatment but I'm doing really well. It's pretty much life as usual 😊💪

I'm 54 & in the middle of chemo for stage 1 breast cancer & my gyn! decided I needed thyroid ultrasound & now biopsy. I also had regular normal blood work with a sister what thyroid cancer & another w hypothyroid....never did any doctor ever physically check my thyroid during exams!.
Don't know yet if it's thyroid cancer because I have to wait for the right timing for biopsy because of current chemo. I did have alot of stress in the year before with both job & breast cancer. So, yeah, stress WILL make you sick. 😬

Thanks for this video. I am a RN and I noticed a lump in my LT thyroid and had my Dr evaluate. He recommended me to see my PCP as much I hesitated I knew something was wrong. My PCP ordered an US and sure enough it was 4cm Solid nodule inferior pole and mid pole. My blood test came back normal and they ordered an FNA and molecular testing. Now it’s the waiting game 😞.
