You guys always show us the very best of Wisconsin whether it's the sports outdoor activities or whatever it may be you guys always do a great job with that.
In 2010 I was looking at houses in Rice Lake with retirement in mind. I ate a Lehman’s during my stay in Rice Lake. Good food! I wanted to retire there since I grew up in Chippewa Falls (just south of Rice Lake) but staying in Wyoming saves me 8K a year in taxes (that buys a nice vacation each year).
"Wisconsin Supper Clubs" is a great coffee table book. It is a coversantion starter in particular if your guests have been to at least one. Supper clubs are an experience you remember. I have been to several over my lifetime. I bought two, one for myself and one for my mother.
Sullivan's in Trempelau near La Crosse and Winona, Minnesota is awesome! Their salad bar is a meal in its self. Great fish/shrimp but I recommend the bbq ribs there so good. The restaurant is hidden in a wooded area and also when you look out the window from your table you see the Missippi River and you can see the Minnesota side.
Lehman's is great and has been for a long time. I don't know if it counts as a supper club since it incorporated some years ago, but Bona Casa in Cumberland is the best Italian food I have eaten outside of Florence, Naples and Brooklyn.
Pinewood Supper Club that is my back yard. I will buzz by on my waverunner just to give you all someone to wave to. BTW they also have a dock for boaters who want to dine.
@@ckuehncnwhsyt I've been to their fishfry. Have you had the Prime Rib? Prime Rib is my favorite, but so far around here it's that packaged single serving kind that I don't even consider Prime Rib. It must be cut off the bone. I moved to this area of WI from the north shore of Chicago 3 years ago & I'm so bummed at the quality of food I've had at every restaurant. I'm extra bummed nobody makes a decent pizza here in cheese land. I'm planning on buying my own Prime Rib & cooking it at home for my birthday dinner this year.
I'm a South Carolinian, born and raised, hope to die- but I JUST learned about supper clubs and I am enamored with the concept. I think the south's equivalent to a supper club might be like a fish fry house. I spent a month in Wisconsin in about 2008, Chippewa Falls, nobody ever mentioned supper clubs. Wish I could have gone to one!
I grew up loving supper clubs. Now I have to travel some distance to find a great supper club in Wisconsin. The food and service are always good, but what’s missing is diversity. I wish that the races and cultures were integrated in Wisconsin. We all appreciate great food. Why can’t we also appreciate our uniqueness as we share a meal across the table from each other in our homes, recreational areas, restaurants, and schools all over Wisconsin? Supper Clubs ROCK!
LOL! Spot Supper Club. I used to work there. Old Wally would scare the shit out of me when he spoke through that voice amplifier. Never could understand what he was saying. Just sounded like a pissed off robot.

When I lived in Wisconsin I was too poor to go to supper clubs LOL. I miss Wisconsin.
Wisconsin is very special

Lol the supper clubs know how to give you a good buzz before you eat. I'm always full by the time we eat with the booze 🤣 🤣 🤣
The Edgewater which sits just outside of Jefferson on the way to Fort Atkinson is amazing. Do not miss the Edgewater Supper Club.
Great. I appreciate the ambiance of the dining area
The buccaneer supper club in Roselville is really good too
Double thumbs up from a Marshfield native.

We'll have to look into that one. Thanks for the suggestion!

Love it!!!!
Castle Hill in Merrillan has the best prime rib you will ever eat in your life
Not to mention the greatest Friday seafood buffet anywhere. And prices have remained reasonable while everybody else happily gouges you.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s definitely different than before I’d say tho. More diversity up north

I Dream of Dreamland. Saw a UFO on the way back from there.
The Buckhorn is so expensive only Chicagoans can afford it.
What’s an ish-nell-a?
A place where you'll need a platinum credit card.
An Ishnala?
I like supper clubs. Before I equated anything negative to the term.
Apparently, you really don't need to pay a membership fee to eat at these "clubs."
