  • Season 6 Episode 13 - Ishnala Supper Club & Wollersheim Brandy
On season 6 finale of Wisconsin Foodie, dinner is the destination at the Ishnala Supper Club in Wisconsin Dells. Filmmaker and author of "Wisconsin Supper Clubs: An Old-Fashioned Experience" Ron Faiola joins us for some old fashioneds and potatoes au gratin. Then, Ira Koplowitz samples some brandy from Wollersheim Winery. Brandy is a new product for Wollersheim, but one that has become very promising.

6,400 views, 23 likes, and this is the 2nd comment????? Great production to this show and I absolutely loved the Ishnala Supper Club segment. I had not been to Ishnala in several years but did today pre-season, they open May 1st for this 2017 season. I am an equipment supplier to the place. Owner Bob Prosser gave me a tour of the entire building. Within the basements their are hand laid stone walls that were at one time the exterior walls. Added onto bringing the building closer to the water it actually felt like walking through a mid-evil village through the basements with old furniture and other artifacts. I was blessed to see all of it. What the public would never know is there. Including a living residence below of about 1500 sq ft with hot tub, guest rooms, beautiful kitchen for the owners in the summer. Even a wooden canoe. Very cool.

God save the supper clubs. They're an endangered species.

That's prime rib with au jus you're eating there dude. Roasted rib-eye, not sirloin. Enjoyed the video but you need to brush up on your meat cuts if you want to call yourself a foodie;)

He is very socially awkward as a host, but he has been replaced. He called the cherry tomatoes plum tomato.lol

@@thetrainwreck1469 Yeah, I caught that too. I didn't think he was socially awkward, instead I'd say midwestern. So they replaced him with a bearded dude?
