Another winner show, John and Lois. I'll send the link to several of my Milwaukee relays who love Sister Bay. I know they'll love it, too!

You were a rockstar on our tour today, Captain Kate! I was looking up more info on the peninsula and ran into this video! That’s the second time I’ve seen you today! I’d love to learn more about your time on the Tall Ship!

I remembered my 1st experience in Sister Bay back in the fall of 1974. I was 4 years old with my parents and sister. We ate at Al Johnson’s back then it was so different. A grocery store used to be next door towards Al’s. We even saw a parade for fall festival. We have been camping in 1976-1979. My parents had build a house to spend our vacations for a little bit over 13 years. They made their home after retirement in 1993. They are both gone so the current owners are using it as a rental for vacationers to stay at. It is kind of sad for me in a way. I kind of grew up in that home. I do feel like a part of the Swedish in me. I’m only 1/8 Swedish from my father. I’m from Gurnee, Illinois. I felt liked a native in Door County.

I really enjoyed this educational video. Can you tell me the date this was filmed? I am planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Door County with the soul purpose of seeing the autumn colors. Pinning down the best two-week window via internet pictures and videos is proving to be difficult and, having lived in Florida for the last 50 years, I can't rely on personal observations. Thank you.

Late-September into October is the most likely for good leaf color. I speak from experience and also a bit of google-confirming.

It's funny how people can start narrating a video about a place and assume we know what body of water they're talking about. I ended up here because Sister Bay WI WIkipedia entry has absolutely NO information about the body of water that's there! Now I will go google Green Bay.

Green Bay (not the city)is on the west side of the peninsula. Lake Michigan is on the east side. Sister bay is on the west side.

12:40-12:48... how many times can they mispronounce "milk"? Its not "melk" or "melked", ffs. Its "milk". Say it again... "milk".
