Thanks for all the great ramen shop videos. Love all of them and will try to visit as much as possible next time when I will be in Japan. Ramen is life :) greetings from Germany.
Ramen is indeed life 😊 Thanks for watching all the videos! You can build your Japan itinerary around ramen once travel is back! Would love to go back to Germany...
looked fun. love the combination of still lively pictures in the clips. I can't decide which is the yummiest-looking one. Look at it now at midnight is kinda torture. haha 😂
Wow! This one was really great! You know it's good when you've just eaten and all of a sudden your hungry again! Photography was great -loved the Pig Boss Comment too! Reminded me of the tower in "Game of Death"! :) 👏👍
I always wondered if u went ichiran. I agree can't go wrong since u customize but I love the hole in the wall spots too. Loved the vid brotha thx so much! ❤🤙
Wow, you went to Fukuoka! I enjoyed everything about this video, you've set a new standard. I really enjoyed the footage and descriptions not just about the ramen but also of the shops with their ambience and felt like I was really there. I also thought it was pretty cool you now have a 5am ramen mask haha!
Thanks!! Was trying to put together the whole ramen package in this video and I'm glad it showed. With these historical places the ambience is important to convey too. Have to rep with the mask 😊
Akanoren seems like a winner right from the outset! Seven pieces of chashu pork - yes please. But then Anzen Shokudo's lighter, more delicate flavours also hold a lot of appeal. I love clarity of flavour, and that seemed to have it in spades... Hmm, tricky. Then Hacchan offers a deliciously fatty tonkotsu ramen with the balance of sweet from the soy sauce against the savoury notes. I can see why it's a favourite. Ichiran - I like the customisation and it's probably a good way to set the bar for a really decent bowl of ramen. All things considered - Anzen Shokudo attracts me the most, with Hacchan a close second.
Two great choices in Anzen Shokudo and Hacchan..and two that are quite different from each other. They might be my favorites from the bunch too. Nice in-depth summary of all those top bowls 😊
Another great job!! Thesd ars classics that make Japan Japan! A part o history and now that i am glad u represent! As covud relaxes and normalcy returns, you will be an encyclopedia that travellors will reflect on and follow your journey as you have detailed for them! Strong work ! May you continue to be inspired by youff red love of ramen and continue on these epiic journeys!!!! I will b thete! Let’s go!!!!
Love the energy in your post here!!! I feel motivated to run a lap with a ramen flag, or something to that effect 😉 Happy to bring these shops to you all, history included - especially in this video. Can't wait for travel to be back!
Awesome video and channel dude. Keep up the great work. I know this channel will blow up in the next year or so. Can you make a category for out of Tokyo Ramen. Like an Osaka list? Ill be going there next year
Thanks for watching and saying that 😊. Feel free to check out the" Quick Ramen Shop Reviews" playlist here - I did a few on Osaka ramen shops. Outside of that, I need to get back to Osaka and do some long form videos! I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time there next year.
Ive watched 11 minutes and 30 secounds of this vid and you asked wich ramen made me the hungriest and literally the first one did it for me it was fatty liquid milky goodness, looks amazing i would add kimchee i get at walmart and siracha and go at it!
I love Ichiran, even after becoming a bit of a ramen nerd. I always overdo it with too much spice and garlic in my own little booth, and that is kind of the beauty of it for me. It's a little oasis for you alone, and I needed that, especially in Tokyo.
For sure - it's fun to have your own magical combo there, spice and garlic amount included. It is like a ramen oasis - nice way of describing it 😊 Keep ramen nerding out!
Ichiran is really good, I love getting some in Fukuoka Japan, now I can get some Ichiran in America from a Japanaese grocery store, I made some yesterday and it tastes good. I really miss having it in Japan.
@@KyuubiNarutoGirl9 Ah yes, did you get one of the home kits? Didn't they have a regular version and a deluxe version, or was that perhaps only in Japan? None of it is available in my country, unfortunately. I wish they would open an Ichiran franchise across the EU, but perhaps it's better to have one more excuse to visit Japan again.
After trying all those Tonkotsu bowls, does Ichiran feel a little underwhelming to you? I find the broth lacks a certain punch that the other shops have.
You can see I'm always diplomatic in my videos 😅. We are of the same mind - compared to the other shops, Ichiran does have more of a manufactured flavor...and their ramen is priced much higher. If anything, I like Ichiran because of the memories I've had there growing up.
Saw you on Sonny’s Channel , one of my favorite videos and loved your personality! Definitely had to Sub and I’m excited be part of the family now ! Keep going man 😊
Amazed at how affordable the bowls of ramen were....and how did Ichiran compare to the other bowls...up there or a step below? Really curious as so many others claim that it is soooo good or the best. Would appreciate your opinion.
For some tourists, I think Ichiran is considered the best simply because it's accessible - they have English menus (none of the other shops in the video did), it's a fun experience with the stalls, etc. I personally like Ichiran because of memories I have there...I've been COUNTLESS times. But flavor-wise (and price-wise), let's just say these other shops never had the goal of becoming a really big chain. But to each their own, everyone has their personal preferences too!
Be great if you could do a proper collab with Brian. He's been MIA lately. I regret canceling my trip to Fukuoka a few years back. Surprised that you went to Ichiran, seems like you try to avoid the chains. I haven't been impressed with Ichiran with the few times I've eaten there, but love the Yuzu Shio ramen at Afuri. Would love to see some Mensho reviews though. Heard all of their places are rock solid.
I think Brian's been busy on Twitch, will have to track him down for a proper collab - it's been a little while! You're right - I rarely go to chains like Ichiran (although I did quite a bit when I was younger). If you love Afuri, you have to try Iruca...AMAZING yuzu shio ramen. I should do a video on them in the future. Regarding Mensho, absolutely! Was planning to do a 3-4 shop visit / review but just haven't gotten to it yet.

All of them. Its a dream to visit Japan and try Ramen. One day I’ll be there. Love from India 🇮🇳
Can you make more of halal ramen
I'm always partial to a good bowl of wantan men but that old place looked dirty! Agree with the comparison of Ichiran as the McD's of ramen. :) :)
All. The sight of freshly prepared ramen makes me drool 🤤
@@keigersoze The best answer 😃. You will be here one day and all that ramen will be waiting for you. I can't wait to go back to India myself!
I went to Aka Noren when I was in Fukuoka. An absolute GEM with no tourists!
Love it! One of my favorites
how did you find the shop? i cant find it in google maps
This is what I'm talking about! More than 10 minutes video of ramenporn!

Loved the little history! Saved the video for when I can finally visit Japan!! 😊

Great trip!
No doubt!
i gotta get in on one of your ramen adventures. looks like a blast💥
I went big on this trip! Made a sort Ramen Journal too..will upload that one in the near future.

Got close to that 5 am ramen hour 😊

😊😊
When were you not eating during this trip?! Looking forward to the Ichiran HQ video.
Just when I was sleeping 😊. Hope to put that one up in the next month!
I just had a massive bowl of jajangmyeon (plus pumpkin soup...weird combo, I know) and this video managed to make me hungry again.
Maybe weird together, but not so much back to back 😃. Would be fun grabbed something equally "weird" for that third meal
@@5AMRamen I managed to try and stick to my diet and just drank a liter of ice cold water to convince my brain I'm full LOL
