I've been playing my banjo and singing along to this and dark hollow for 2 years now ...just about everyday! I havent joined a bluegrass band here in Wisconsin yet so I'll jam with you guys each night until I find some more pickers! Thanks for sharing your music and letting me play along!
Good one boys. It got into the ditch and stayed there. All the breaks were very good. Special kudos for Cliff Bailer, who according to info posted under this vid, was on the doghouse. Pay special attention to how he supports those breaks, doesn't overplay, stays out of their particular lanes. His transferring to an upper register to support the first guitar solo was perfect - kept the rhythm going, was tasteful on note selection, and didn't muddy up the guitar. And he then went low to support and amplify the mando break. Timing, Tone, and Taste on demo here by the bass player - and everyone. The reson break was super too.
Outstanding, Driving, and entertaining. Would love to see a CD come out from you guys. Just record a great RAW CD of one of your sessions. Put it out there and we would all scoop it up. I play banjo and wish I had a CD of yours to learn from like I have from Earl Scruggs, Russ Carson, and John Hartford. Thanks.
I love how Wiley is feeling every string ... I am learning how to play on banjo and I just love that feeling hitting those strings. Guys, could you play No Place To Hide by Alison Krauss & Union Station ?? Love y'all, this channel is awesome.
2:06 SOMEBODY IS STEALING THE GAS OUT OF Y'ALL'S T-MODEL, JUST OUTSIDE THE WINDOW ON THE RIGHT - LMAO!!!!!!! PS - THE MUSIC WAS GREAT - GOOD VIDEO - *BRAVO!!!!!!!*
Lord almighty that lick the banjo player chopped up to lead into the first verse...I'm going to be spending some time trying to piece that one together myself.
@@Cheeter23 Maybe we will cross paths one day. But that doesn’t change highlands being a crappy town. Robbinsville is close to an hour and a half away…..that’s not really “up the road” but I get your kind sentiments
The guy in the baseball cap is an amazing musician.

I just wanna know… you guys got an apartment underneath you? I’m slated to move and fancy having you guys jamming away.
wow...that is all I got...
this is amazing shit
The one with a string instrument is a great instrument
It’d be nice if I could find dudes like this to play with in highlands, nc. My town sucks. Just a bunch of rich people, no bluegrass
You’re just up the mountain from me… I’m in Robbinsville nc. Play bluegrass all the time at my house.

@@dmcrisp my family is from Sylva. I guess that’s why I say that. I deliver for Coca-Cola in highlands though. If you ever see a coke truck, it’s me
How much money is that worth? It’s a beautiful piece.
This freaking rips.
Each of them feel “fun” but actually like “pro”
And the wives are all in the other room completely uninterested.
All these guys are either pro or semi pro but they play really well.
Eff yeah Mr. Bailey.
I’m gonna smash my instruments!!
Is that the Buddy Robertson of Flatt Lonesome?
Dig it
If i could do a hundred thumbs up i would!
Another incredible one.... dang. Hey Wiley, what recording setup did you use? Sounds nice and wide. Thanks for posting.
Excellent performance though a little lean on the vocals. Would have liked to have heard more people backing up the singer. Thanks for sharing!
