Amazing how the band can keep up with Michael
There really are NO words to adequately describe the sounds that spew forth from Michael and his instrument! I feel so very fortunate to have seen him play live perhaps 5 or 6 times now over the years as he has played at bluegrass festivals on the west Coast and the Desert SouthWest. Once again Michael ..... thank you for the Music ! :) ...... Steve
This man absolutely sold his soul for that skill. I've never seen anything like that before.
It's God's work at his finest. praise him
I love bluegrass. Always have. And since I grew up far far away from where bluegrass originated, I was blessed with being exposed to all kinds of genres from my Dad. TY Dad. Now I'm older in years. But I did grow up in the best of times with all different types of music. Seeing Jerry Garcia, Pete Seeger, Papa John, and Vassar Clements. And if just makes me so darn happy that Michael is here and playing just wonderful stuff. He's a gift to the world.
This man was born for this What an outstandint human
It should be illegal to be this darn good. This man just blew my mind .
Holy smokes!!!!! His skills are absolutely insane dude. From Heaven above!!
There’s some notes on Michael fiddle that are not on mine for some reason!’!!! He is one of a kind musician on his instrument!!
blueseruser I noticed he’s got himself a
5-string with the low C
5th string
@@declanwaters9890 Crap. I was hoping it was an alternate tuning. I spent hours trying to play this thing at slow speeds until I realized that the G string was tuned lower. I tried F first. That worked for a few measure, but not everywhere. I tried C. That still didn't work. So it's a fifth string. Rats.
Music comes from the soul and this lad has gotten so much of it. Big love and respect.
I’m not a country or bluegrass fan, but holy shiht, I think this might be one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen in my whole life…
Seriously!!!! 😩
love the little Beatles" Norwegian Wood ditty"
All other fiddlers gotta bow down.
+oldcremona YEP .... you got that right. I feel like Michael might Genuinely be in the top 10 Greatest Musicians on the Planet ! ..... :)
I really can't believe how fast and good he is. Can't stop watching and listening. 💕💕💕💕
currently bowing, no pun intended.
Ever heard of Felix Lajko?
@Faronthefiddler he's not self taught
I've heard many a guitar "shredder" in my day, but this is the first time I've ever heard a fiddler shred. That was bad-ass. It would be cool to see this guy jam out with Paul Gilbert.
never heard of this guy nor heard him play. I'm blown tf away, holy
Michael Cleveland is unbelievable. World Class. Has no peers.
So satisfying to watch/listen to someone perform that has mastered their craft in utter amazement...can't help but when you walk away with the appreciation of the years of hard work and dedication it took to witness such mastery.
Wow. What a treat to see pure talent. You never know what you're gonna find on You Tube, that's for sure! Made my day...
God bless Michael Cleveland, that playing takes my soul for ride.
Finally, I found someone playing viola as a fiddle! And as predicted it sounds incredible! We need more of this in the world!
Every video watched I've bawled. Blown away.
This guy has and absurdly stratospheric level of skill
i really NEED to see him *live* holy wow.
you sure do! See his website or follow at www.bandsintown.com/a/182848-michael-cleveland .
Dude could play the minute waltz in 3.7 seconds.
That's a bunch of music all mixed in one song
wow unbelievable sounds
I have rarely encountered a musician whose musical choices so consistently make me smile. It is just pure joy.
Now this is what real country music should sound like. Why do we not hear more about this guy?Has he ever played the grand ole opry?
It's Bluegrass...the origin of country music
It’s not commercially viable in a mainstream sense. Thus he’ll never be “famous” in that sense.
1. He doesn’t look like a super model
2. He doesn’t play reductive drivel
Scott Jackson ..Ok its bluegrass and I would much rather listen to this than today's so called country music, and I also recently learned that Michael has played at the Opry in fact he made his debut there with Alison Kraus and he has also shared the stage with legends such as Bill Monroe.
He'll be playing March 20, 2019 at the Opry. =)
Good lord that dude can play....much respect and love that sound
Bluegrass was speedmetal before there was even metal.
Man this will video will make you laugh out loud because that dude is 100% on top of his game!
Never thought I'd have a "favorite violinist" but here we are
I just now discovered Michael on a youtube short video that popped up from when he was about 12 years old and now I've seen this video and I'm hooked. This guy is talented like nobody's business! Thank you Michael and may God continue to bless you! From your newest fan from Los Angeles, CA.🖐😎 P.S. I shared your video this morning with my father in Texas 🤠👍and he loves you too!
Beautiful.. You could destroy the devil in a fiddle contest... you give me goose bumps. Yee Yee yaa😁
Thank goodness rosin is not flammable. That was incredible!
It's actually highly flammable, fun fact. Basically tree sap
🙄 thank you buzz killington for your “fun fact”! It was just a joke, fun fact.
@@otlh69 The man was just sharing a little tidbit of knowledge to those that may have been interested, you don’t have to be an ass about it. Especially over such a silly joke.
Glad to see this man and the band getting the attention they deserve!!!
Beautiful music, it honestly brings tears of joy to my eyes and heart.
Me too, he humbled me quickly. I'm going to stop being so judgemental.
Oh my God... now words needed, the guy just RRRROCKS!!!
