I love watching these river matches. I find them the most interesting
Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed that one Jon and so good to see you get a slab and to become the winner of section and zone, was asked many years ago by an old angler if I knew what a winner was, I said "tell me" not forgot his reply, he said " A winner is a loser who kept trying" so keep going fella and never give up, you're a winner in my eyes
Thanks for watching Martin
its so much better to see match angling on a river like the Thames compared with pribvate lakes stuffed full of fish that live off pellets - thanks for entering this every year Jon. Some of the Trent matches up north are good to watch as well
You are correct ,yesterday I watched dave brown on heronbrook finish second with 220 ib , quite boring ,his canal matches are very good
I enjoy dave's vids
Thanks for watching
@@ianroberts3948 bagger brown is the best canal angler since my grandad. But Kevin Ashurst and his dad. BENNY ruled the canal circuit in the 70s
I know Kevin well he lives in my town warrington , I used to get my bait at bennies house in leigh and benny gave me much advice which helped in the golden era, Happy days they were .
Hi Jon, congratulations on your section and zone wins. What a great bream just on the whistle
Yes it was a nice bonus!
Really enjoyed this video thank you very interesting fishing on the River well done for winning 😁👍
Thanks for watching Paul
Thankyou for the video Jon , I've been looking forward to watching it . I can see the Lower Moors from my bedroom window. There is a massive shoal of bream in this section but I've only caught them in June or when the rivers in flood.
Glad you enjoyed it, lucky so and so living so close, other than the traffic trying to get over that bridge!
Great result from a rather hard start. Hard work paid off, pleasure to watch.
Definitely seems this year the roach take a bit to get going everywhere I've fished
Hi JON brilliant well done, lovely video looks like you had a good draw aswell,& getting a Bream at the Death.

Hi Jon, Really enjoyed watching your video. A great match and well done on the Day 1 win …the Bream was amazing on the last cast 😀👍Regards, Wayne
Glad you enjoyed it Wayne! :-)
Excellent stuff! Almost feel like hitting the Warks Avon! 👊👊👊
Nice time of year for the Avon
Top video as always Jon!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great Result Jon. I was waiting for a pike to grab one of the roach.
A jack had a couple but let get each time
Hi John I live pretty near to where you where fishing, I've fished that stretch all my life, the bream sit about four pegs to your right off the high bank ( did they peg it?) sometimes they wouldn't peg the high bank! My uncle bob gosbee drew the same peg in a club match twice and won both times, there's some big barrel try right out in front of u but the bream don't usually come up as far as your peg, they stay in the deeper water just before the bend, to be fair you did very well to win your section if the high bank was pegged on the right day you would get 100 pound of bream if you fished it right, Paul glenfield used to fish that high bank I've seen him win a few match's up there!
Just realised that I commented before I watched the video I thought your pefmg was where you where stood on the lower moors I didn't realise you drew on appleford
No probs Daniel! :-)
Awesome jon thoroughly deserved 👏
I'd have given you the section win on the quality of those casters
Well done pal top performance
Thanks 👍
Love that Jon, undoubtedly be good but being a jammy you know what is nice every now and again. 👍
About time I had a jammy fish or two! 👍
Well in Jon. Get the other two videos up then so I can watch them. Hopefully you'll do as well in those two too.
Hope you enjoyed them
Well done Jon all the best in the next 2 match’s really enjoy proper fishing, not very nice fishing off a high bank
Thanks 👍

Brilliant result Jon and we'll fished and another great video 👍
🤣 Did I rub it in? 🤣🤣🤣
@@JonArthur just a bit 🤣🤣🤣
Well done Jon
Many thanks
Nice video Jon. Love the Thames festival vids. Feeling tempted to subscribe to your members channel. Any idea how I could fish it next year if possible?
There is a Thames Festival Facebook page/group and it's Tim Nix you want to get in touch with
Superb
Thanks for watching
Well done Jon you work so hard at it so you deserve it, as they say you get out what you put in, you put it all in nuff said, very good video and as you say it is hard work making video's, we spend nearly as long editing as we do fishing 🤔🤔, Thank you🏅🏆
Thanks James! 👍
Great river video and fabulous result.
I have a cpl of observations 😝
I’m not sure those small fishing were ‘pimping’ on the intro - unless they were lowering their ride and tinting the windows 😆
Those casters looked good enough to eat 👍
You need to sort out your builders arse on the sidetray cam could be young children/old ladies watching.
Quality as always daft lad 👍🍌🍺 cheers
I'm glad you had your notepad. My Bristol Bagging film will be interesting...
Very slow start Jon, but came good in the end. I bet you wished you had another ten minutes as that may have been the bream arrival. Nice fishing.
Absolutely, Bream o'clock!
Brilliant work Jon. 👏 some much bait how much of that do you get through in one day?
Not too much considering the amount of fish caught, and it easily lasted three days
Awesome. Almost persuaded me to revisit the rivers. Almost…
Ha ha, they'd have the 8mm pellet!
It's nice catching a "last cast" bonus bream. But it always leaves you wondering .... = "Damn ! Did a shoal of em finally show up, and that was the 1st of 50lb+ I could have netted?? 😨😨.... 😉
Definitely felt like bream o'clock
Great weight Jon
Cheers Pete, great day
No videos from white acres last month?
Sadly couldn't do any filming on my festival
Hope you stayed clear of the pike attacks on day 2 and 3, unlike last year !!!
Wait and see... ;-)
welld done Top rod
Thanks Chris
Great weight.
We. Jon. Hope you get opposite. Yacht club. 😂 the. Rushes. At Culham. Always produces GL
Always pray to draw the rushes at Culham. Not sure why that areas is so hot!
Gutted I can’t watch the next 2
I simply wouldn't have had time to edit two more films if it wasn't for the members area, so they would not have existed, but it's only £2.99 a month and you can cancel at any time. Far far cheaper than other members areas and loads more films up there already
Bouns dreamy breamy 😅!!
Love a Thames brasem
You tease! Nice skimmer, though...!
Thanks Pat
Well done Jon. Shame the other two are on the paid member's section.
