  • Rowing is a fantastic sport and can be a safe and healthy low impact sport. I got a great question on one of my videos though on is rowing just going to basically get you hurt, or is it a healthy and good sport to get into? Here's my thoughts.

You video popped up in my feed. The Gist of the video I found is... yes, rowing is a sport and like any sport people get injured.
I was hoping the video was a little more directed with confirmation that rowing is healthy, WHEN done CORRECTLY. Then clarify what exactly do you mean by "done correctly" and why it is healthy. Plus, confirm what type of injuries to watchout for and HOW you can prevent them from happening.
These various concerns people need to better understand. I still can't convince my brother who just recently taken up rowing to follow some form of reliable coaching and start off focusing on Proper Form. I bought him your book, which he did read, yet his workouts seem to be more on time and speed. It's like you mentioned, people don't think things through. A SHORT video that I described would be helpful to any beginner : )

Hey Thinkjon. Thanks so much for the comment and feedback. I think I was so focused on answering this persons question that the title might be a bit off for what I was talking about. You raise some great points.
First, I hope that your brother likes the book and thanks for sharing it with him.
Second, I will add making a new video on this topic that addresses some of the things you mentioned. Appreciate the help. I'll try and record it this week so it will come out sometime soon.
