I did the haslam race school while on a Europe/uk holiday a couple of months ago. Absolutely loved it, I race a 600 back in New Zealand but to ride a bike in anger at Donington is something I’ll never forget!
I met Leon this past summer and he was the nicest guy! I told him about 44t and said it was my favourite series. I know him being on here has nothing to do with me telling him about this channel, but it’s so cool to see! Nicest fella and a great vid Al!
This is really really great content. The event was also very well mixed. I believe the insight you have from racing yourself talking to oher riders or techs makes it so much more natural to watch. You can really converse with those guys and not have them have to throw the marketing brabble at you. Thanks guys great work! Will there be another Bridgestone launch for the S22 like the s21 had?
Brad was my instructor during my first time out on track, riding the 600s! Sound lad who got to enjoy watching me slide on my bum into the wall at Melbourne in the 3rd session. Great fun!
Leon is a top bloke, I've been following his progress ever since he was on the Aprilia in WSBK. I've always admired how hard he rides and the great results he had at times despite how tall he is which is a definite handicap against shorter riders.
Ron's a legend, another great video good skills to learn... see even when your let out on your own you do well. Keep it up it inspires me to do my thang... stay safe.
We had bad wind at Donny last month, that bump is scary when the wind catches you. Although I’m chuffed at getting a 1:48 on a Speed Triple after hearing the times you got 👌🏼
More good stuff from 44T!! Enjoyed that thanks Al. Near the end I was expecting a bike to go past with the pit lane limiter on only find it was some bloke pushing a trolley past the camera
Knowledge is power and that telemetry has got to be an amazing tool. My 2nd track day ever someone took some photos of me mid corner and it showed how bad my body position was compared to what I thought I was doing. It was a huge eye opener. Great interview with Lion. Sounds like it's a classic case of what makes a good road bike may not make a good race bike .
I was riding that day and did see you there Alastair! The wind was brutal that day and i didn’t do as well as last time, nearly came and said hello in the morning. Great vid 👍
Smashin' insight there Al - & fair play for some very tidy lap times in them v dodgy conditions. I take it BVG was at home; snugging-up to his HP4; dribbling on its slippery carbon flanks?
The slight difference between Al and Brad coming out of Goodards. At 3.50. You can see Brad picking up the bike and pushing the bike away from him to get the power down. Powwwweeeerrrrr. ❤
I can highly recommend Ron Haslam school as a first outing on track for those that are nervous about it... For those looking for a little more (but still no set curriculum) then check out the James Whitham school ☺️
I was wondering when we were going to get the new Fireblade on this channel. I assumed Honda had done something rude to someone's saintly mother or something.
great video, but the honda from wsbk I like it alot, because of the paint is one of the best, but the kawasaki ninja are in another level. GO KAWASAKI GREEN POWER !
I personally hate the electronics (granny on the back seat) please, please ride as you need FFS LADS. PS I ride a VTR 1000 an d love it. love you all but please ride BY THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS and YOU WILL PREVAIL XXXXXX Ride safe my friend :) PPS I pulled up alongside a Porsche AND HE INSTANTLY ACTIVATED his electronic pull off, but I stayed with him and eventually pulled away using my 30 yrs plus RIDER KNOWLEDGE/SKILL LOL
Not really a fan of honda but to be fair the new blade. I'm a small guy so reckon it would be just the right size for me. Still, if had the money I'd go for something a bit more sexy looking.
Had a really poor experience at Ron Haslam Race school a number of years ago. The instructor was awful. I am sure other instructors were good, but the one I had was a twat. I was comfy going into the Melbourne Loop and Redgate and was therefore close to the instructor, he later said that I almost went into the back of him, prick.
Love this bike and really want one but I never go to the track so don’t think I would get my money’s worth out on the street. Can any litre bike owners out there comment ?
Depends on what you mean by getting your money's worth. With a little training and experience, you can use full throttle fairly regularly so you can use all the power (though if you have no self-control and don't know when to close the throttle then don't buy one). The electronic suspension on the premium model is brilliant for the road and easily tailored but doesn't match up to conventional suspension on track. Also, the quickshifter and autoblipper work well on both the road and track so you'll get your moneys worth there. If you want to go full throttle and hold that through all six gears then yes you will probably struggle and it is fairly likely you will never use the bikes top speed, does this mean you aren't getting your moneys worth? I don't think so, as long as you're enjoying yourself then you're getting value out of it.
I have one and I ride it as a daily (the base model with ABS). I'm guaranteed at least 2 smiles everyday, and I'm sure that I'm getting my money's worth. Even more so when I take it to quiet stretches of road.
You think he would be faster on Honda vs the Agusta??? Honda is just not what it use to be in WSBK. WHAT is the deal with electronic package ? It’s supposed to be the best rider & bike that wins, not the freaking SOFTWARE!!
Yes ofcours, Just not comfortable knowing a winning team or rider comes down to software. We like to think otherwise but I guess this is the racing world we live in.

Love the school. Was there on the 600 earlier this year. The instructors where great and the price is unbeatable for what you get.

Thanks. And yes, S22 launch early next year...
Ace watching these interviews, and interesting to hear from Leon :-)

With that kind of riding, it's a good thing this wasn't in Switzerland.
Too soon? ;D
No tracks in Switzerland! But yeah, too soon
😂😂😂😂
James Healy Way too soon...lol!!!
Ouch jeeze you'da thought Al was the one paying the 4k
On Southpark they said it takes things like this 19 years to be funny.
Another quality little interview with a rider from you guys!
Al seems to get a more free flowing and candid interview out of pro racers than anyone in the broadcasters in the Superbike and MotoGP paddocks 👍👍
@1066Rider 🌟
Without doubt the best and most entertaining motorcycle channel on RUclips / the world !
You're the man Fagan. Great video and chat sessions
We had bad wind at Donny last month, that bump is scary when the wind catches you. Although I’m chuffed at getting a 1:48 on a Speed Triple after hearing the times you got 👌🏼
11:58 - good job he had the pit lane limiter engaged :)
More good stuff from 44T!! Enjoyed that thanks Al. Near the end I was expecting a bike to go past with the pit lane limiter on only find it was some bloke pushing a trolley past the camera
yeah the CBR looks like a 300cc bike when Al riding it
he's an absolute unit, really in awe at the size of him
Knowledge is power and that telemetry has got to be an amazing tool. My 2nd track day ever someone took some photos of me mid corner and it showed how bad my body position was compared to what I thought I was doing. It was a huge eye opener.
Great interview with Lion. Sounds like it's a classic case of what makes a good road bike may not make a good race bike .
That blade looks soo small with Al on 😂
I was riding that day and did see you there Alastair! The wind was brutal that day and i didn’t do as well as last time, nearly came and said hello in the morning. Great vid 👍
OMG I love this stuff. 44t is where it's at.
Smashin' insight there Al - & fair play for some very tidy lap times in them v dodgy conditions. I take it BVG was at home; snugging-up to his HP4; dribbling on its slippery carbon flanks?
The R6 Cup was a superb feeder series. Don’t remember Fagan riding 🤔
The Leon Camier drinking game.. Take a shot every time he says for sure 😀
No way, my liver and kidneys couldnt take it
Now with full HRC backup Leon should do really well on 2019 'blade. Really like this guy.
The slight difference between Al and Brad coming out of Goodards. At 3.50. You can see Brad picking up the bike and pushing the bike away from him to get the power down. Powwwweeeerrrrr. ❤
Would love to do something like this here in Japan
I can highly recommend Ron Haslam school as a first outing on track for those that are nervous about it... For those looking for a little more (but still no set curriculum) then check out the James Whitham school ☺️
Looking good, son. Oh yeah.😃
Another great vid , nice insight with Leon , great stuff
Bazaar walking past at 47 secs. He was my instructor on 600s last year. Top boke
Wind? Try a fast lap of Philip island.
what tyres are they running? I run sport touring tires on my streetbike, just wondering what these guys chose.
More good stuff, we all keep saying it, this page should be a lot bigger than it is
where is EP4?
11:35
Ron Haslam, the hunchback of Donington. 😂
Definitely on my list to visit here
Northern? Laughs all the time? Fast on a bike? It's Jamie from MotoGeo!
Always interesting that there’s not a wedding ring in sight, coincidence!?
Mgtow 👍
They slow you down......
Instructor 44. I think he might be a fan.
Looking fairly trim there @ 11.50 Mr Fagan...been laying off the Big Macs?
For sure
What does it cost a day here
Google?
Feel for Leon it seems like he can’t get a decent bike! Seems like a really good down to earth guy
Good job Al.
What tyres he say they using?
Guessing the Pirellis like they use in WSB
They are using Dunlop Roadsmart 111 sport touring tyres . think thats correct the 600's are and they look the same on the blade
Brad Howell is awesome.
Fagan. Stop teasing us, give us the juicy details whilst I sit here with my coffee about your racing career. We all want to know...
This channel is so good
Great vid Al'
Have you any team ninja hoodies left?cheers
8:31 - Ronnie!
I was just about to mention that!
Great instructors at Ron Haslam :p

great video, but the honda from wsbk I like it alot, because of the paint is one of the best, but the kawasaki ninja are in another level. GO KAWASAKI GREEN POWER !
Al has a weird shaped head it's like two heads in one must be hard to get a a decent fitting lid. By the way my 44Teets jumpers has gone all bobbly.,
Lung and shoulder damage? He says it like it's a regular part of life.
Rossi’s on a CBR, huh?
It's not the wind........it's the gust.....of wind???😶
I personally hate the electronics (granny on the back seat) please, please ride as you need FFS LADS.
PS I ride a VTR 1000 an d love it. love you all but please ride BY THE SEAT OF YOUR PANTS and YOU WILL PREVAIL XXXXXX

What would ya go for bro ?
What's the craic brother? :-)
Watch again.. but you have to drink a shot everytime Leon says "for sure" 🤣 he's obviously listened to a lot of VR over the years for sure !
Where’s the budget bike battle ?
Ride Around Probably in a Swiss impound yard about 30,000 feet up a mountain.
Next Tuesday
Great vid thanks :)
I thought it was a Harley at 12.00
you really dont realise how small these superbikes are until you sit on one
Did al say touring tires 😅? No thanks
Sports touring tyres are pretty good these days. don't knock them; they warm up quicker, that's for sure.
love ya
Love you more
am looking extremely rotund on that bike
MY BABIII
Fab
damn you are a good moto journo
Just use Marc 93 engine!! Problems solved
Sue Perkins not there? I suppose he can't afford it, now that he's got that 3 and a half grand debt to pay off. :D
very nice, but why send the proffesional racebike rider to race school? ;)

Buy one anyway. They just bring joy.

I liked your comment because of the name/picture.
You think he would be faster on Honda vs the Agusta??? Honda is just not what it use to be in WSBK.
WHAT is the deal with electronic package ? It’s supposed to be the best rider & bike that wins, not the freaking SOFTWARE!!
Electronics rule in every type of racing - even BSB with no electronic aids
Yes ofcours,
Just not comfortable knowing a winning team or rider comes down to software. We like to think otherwise but I guess this is the racing world we live in.
Box full of neutrals ruined it.
