Yo may think your a normal (or not) man but to us your a hero. You talk about the hardest thing to put out there and I salute you for doing this. All your fans love you man keep it up coz in the most famous saying of LFC…. You’ll never walk alone.
@flippy5118 Of course I did watch the whole thing. The bike still prototype and prepped for the race not for long. If it's still had some gremlins not surprising
Congratulations Chris! I'm chuffed to bits to see you racing, finally. I know you've had it a bit rough, based on what you've shared with us all. It's very exciting to see you on the track and smiling. That onboard camera is the tits! Cheers from the Colonies! 🍻🇨🇦
Chris you are a class act. As a racecar driver myself I can tell you its usually the crew consoling the driver after a mechanical problem because the driver is so frustrated but you on the other hand were keeping it positive for the crew and everyone around you. Not something you see very often especially from a guy who performs as well as you did. Great video.
Good to see you moving forward off the meds. How's life with feelings again?!! I've done many, many cold turkeys off opiates and unless you've been through not many have a clue how difficult it actually is. Good luck sir. I'm sure the blonde lady will ease the pain of learning to live again. Enjoy Chris.
@Yirlani I don't know what meds your coming off. But my experience of coming off long term strong painkillers is a battle I wouldn't wish on my enemies. Not for the faint hearted.
I'm very excited for this series. Best of luck to Chris ✊👏 That positive, patient attitude when shits not going right... that's what will give you results once the bike runs optimally.
Odd to say , but so proud of you Chris! You did amazing. Could not help but think of you in the first Baron vids and how far you have come . Love your content, be safe out there and thanks for putting yourself out there through it all ! Cracking job mate , to speak in my Canadian /British accent .
Absolutely fantastic dude, just being in P3 is something to be proud of for a first race! Also its so great to see you get passed all the anxiety of it etc 🙏 Looking forward to see the rest of the season! Good luck!! 💪
Great result from the weekend Chris, I don't know how you kept so cool when it is was all going south after running so well! The 44 Teeth team are knocking it out of the park right now, simply the most entertaining motorcycle content out there. It will be even better with some podiums...
Congrats Chris! very inspirational I too started racing this year (@39) and I totally understand how you felt! Very cool! Been watching for many years and this vid is 1 of my favorites looking forward to more of your racing adventures!!!
Absolutely brilliant job, Chris! First-ever race weekend experience is stressful enough, but for you to do it after going cold turkey deserves a whole new level of respect. Congratulations on the great riding, keeping a cool head through the bike troubles, and I can't wait to watch more of your racing adventures. We're all behind you (oh, and Fagan too, I suppose). Cheers and take care, mate.
Congrats Chris! Super pumped to see you doing this and looking forward to more! I'll be doing my first race weekend next month and watching this definitely helped reduce my anxiety levels a bit. Keep it up! Been a longtime fan and really appreciate all the hard work you, Al, James, and the rest of the guys put into all this. Thank you!
That was exciting and I was with you all the way. Great team and waiting tor the next one. You should all feel very proud. My Mille used to do exactly the same thing and turned out to be a coil wire. Go get em boy !!
Actually had a similar issue on my bike at a track day. Open throttle and it’d splutter and sound like it was hitting ignition cut for quick shifter then suddenly it would run as it should and spin up the rear. Scared the sit out of me as you didn’t know when the power was suddenly going to start. I found that I had fouled a spark plugged. Chucking fresh set in fixed it. Weird to happen on a new engine though.
Wicked effort Chris! Theres nothing quite like those butterflies on the grid waiting for the lights to go out....thrilling, yet so nauseating at the same time. Enjoy!
Looked like a cracking race weekend Chris, next time can we get the full post race interviews in the style of Cal Crutchlow - "For sure, we pushed! We showed good pace, struggled in times, but we kept fighting for the podium" 😆
We owned an independent motorbike garage London ways, I remember back in 2016 the CFMoto team got in touch with us to fix an unknown issue with one of their race engines. I forget exactly what, but it was something so unbelievably simple that they overlooked.
Excellent, you finished it all in good health and progressed with the bike, that's what matters most. Great to see you going for it. I would love a video or even a write-up on some more details on how a race day goes, maybe some behind the scenes? Cheers!
Chris, well done mate, I’d have been losing my mind with how the bike was preforming, you kept your cool, well done, well done. Excited for this series.
I wish I could come back to this dramas, I raced nolimits endurance on a sv650 and loved it but kidney stones made me lose my sponsors and could not afford to race again, watching this video brings back all the memories, I only do trackdays now, keep showing these videos as I would love to follow your story. 44 fan 4 ever, still waiting for the bbb lol.
AWESOME! Massive Congratulations on getting out there and having a go. Obviously a little frustrating having bike issues but as you said a positive start really 👍🏁. Waiting with bated breath after seeing the Oulton Park teaser at the end...😀🏍🏆.
I don't always agree with everything you say, Sue Perkins, but I have to say you have my respect for doing this. I remember what it was like sitting on the grid for my first race (which was admittedly just a pitbike supermoto race, but still) and that feeling of excitement and almost paralysing fear. There's nothing like it, and it doesn't really go away. I know these races are pretty competitive, so to reach P3 with mechanical problems is fantastic work. Here's to some silverware for you in the future (I suspect you already have some judging by the previews of the next episode). I'm really happy for you, and I hope everything continues on an upward trend for you. Keep the black bits on the grey stuff and have a great time doing it!
Ha did a Cal Crutchlow there near the end with the would of got 2nd comment. Done well for a big lad on a little bike. Craner curves with blue sky and fresh cut grass takes some beating.
That feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when the fire goes out on the bike for no good reason and you get to listen to the motor slowly dying out... happened to me 2 weeks ago on my just off the showroom floor 701 Enduro with 46 miles... I HATE that feeling.
Awesome, you should be proud. Looking forward to more races. - and you know this is one of the reasons it is good to have a second bike ( my partner 'selling' argument anyway).
Great start to racing Chris. Keeping that positive attitude when things could have deflated you, will only benefit you and the teams moral. Stay focused and aggressive and the wins will come...... Good luck Team 44. Really enjoyed the video. Thanks 👍
Go on that Sue-bo Perkins! Great video, and glad to see you getting stuck in and a VERY respectable result! In for a top year of content with your racing, Team44 Freetech championship and BBB5! All the best for the season!
Baron Von Grumble burping and riding a shit commute into London in the rain and now we're racing at Donnington... talk about progress. Really happy to see you succeeding man. Good luck!
Thank you for all the support guys! Means a lot to me and especially after going cold turkey 🤣
So good to see you take the bull by the horns and go for it
Being off the 'Hero' pills has its drawbacks for example braking anxiety, however, it has its plus points.
Mainly the ability to "blow one's beans"

On a Chinese bike :))))
@Yirlani It's kawasaki ER6 engine, bored/stroked to 700
@flippy5118 Of course I did watch the whole thing. The bike still prototype and prepped for the race not for long. If it's still had some gremlins not surprising
