Why you shouldn't do a PhD! 5 years after graduation. Honest reflection. Should you do a PhD?

Salary, career progression, prestige, personal growth... how did my PhD affect these 5 years later? Did I waste my time doing a PhD or was it worth it and I'd do it again?

I think if you're not in academia then it's more of a status symbol.
And the older you get the more respect you're likely to get with a PhD.

Thank you for sharing your experience! All I am thinking about PhD is a legacy. I love to write, teach, present, and ultimately become a speaker on the subject. I am not sure how compatible my thoughts with the reality of PhD are, but I am evaluating how I might end up connecting what I want with PhD's reality. Thanks again for this video! All the best!
