Whenever the Genii were involved in a storyline I could hear Sheppard’s voice shouting ‘KOLYAAAA’. Obviously not before he appeared in the Genii story arc. Respect to Robert Davi, Kolya was one of the most memorable characters in Atlantis canon. The way he depicted Kolya as inscrutable, calculating, controlled and with a cold fury was outstanding. I felt that Kolya had a vulnerability about him that fuelled his violence too; excellent performance. I’m still watching Stargate: Atlantis, it’s on in the UK on the Freeview channel Sky Mix at the moment. Atlantis never disappoints and it has stood the test of time…Kudos to all those involved.
Kolya always upped the ante when he was in an episode. A great actor and a great character and so entertaining. I really miss Stargate. I have all the Stargate series on dvds....my way of keeping it alive forever.
The nemesis we all loved to hate. Most remarkable character. Great acting. I totally agree they could have done a lot more with him, like join forces with thE SGA team. Would have loved to see that.
My favorite Kolya moment is in the second part of the storm episode, when he asks if the son of someone passed the gate. Very hulanazing moment for the character.
the hatred between kolya and the atlantis crew was so thick, it could have been insanely epic if they joined up for some period of time. I'm a sucker for that kind of thing so it would have been real interesting even if it weren't done properly
3:22 That would've been Fun. There's real opportunity for nuance & long narrative in long alliances of necessity. But unfortunately, the $ cost vs. funding, shooting times, and multiple locations... it would REALLY take Stargate to a new level. Maybe the newest shooting techniques from Mandalorian might make it possible in the future.
The sort of 'convenient alliance' with someone or some organization that you don't particularly like or trust that he's talking about happens all the time - even in Stargate: Ba'al, Todd, the Lucian Alliance, and to a lesser extent even the Travelers. I could have seen that working for a few episodes at least.
Robert Davi is cool but while watching SGA, any time the Genii showed up they felt like a Diet Lucien Alliance. The only real threat in Pegasus was SGA themselves!

Kolya was such an awesome character! Would have loved to see him working with Atlantis fighting against the Wraith.
Rtas 'Vadum really gave a hard time toe Flood , The Covenant and even Sheppard as well. Remarkable
He did such a good job! As soon as he popped up on the screen, my first thought was, I hated him! Such a good actor!
Every time he was on screen i was really excited and wanted the good guys to win

What a good bad guy he was
Was a great performance.
I first took note of Robert Davi on the tv show "Profiler". He was great!
Atlantis and The Goonies are my favorite performances from him.
I liked him in the Bond movie “License To Kill.”

Hands down, The best heavy in any show! They could have made a show just around him!

I hated that guy and Senator Kinsey too……
Great acting!!
So deliciously evil; well played, Robert.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thx
You know an actor does a good job playing a bad guy when you love to hate the character. I couldn't stand Kolya!
