For a guy who had such a short run in the wwe, Gangrel is so iconic and synonymous with the attitude era. Such a unique character, badass entrance and that spike ddt he did was sick.
Gangrel’s debut is vividly burnt into my brain. I remember being 7 years old seeing him debut in the summer of 1998, this blonde, scary looking guy with fangs, covered in blood, smiling, I thought it was REAL! Scared the crap outta me, I vividly remember laying in bed during a warm summer night thinking about wtf I just seen.
I swear that music would send shivers down my spine when I heard it. I was really scared of Gangrel growing up lol. Especially playing Wrestlemania 2000 on the N64
Still one of the most iconic entrances in wrestling history. Gangrel was/is a bad ass. Probably didn’t do enough boot licking to get the push the group deserved, that being said they will always be remembered and They woulda whooped viscera and midion all day long. Brood vs the ministry was the real feud that should have happened. I think they wanted to pull back from that death shit tho after taker hung a few dudes 😂
The brood only worked as well as it did cause this unexplainable chemistry between the three if them. It lasted way longer than it should have and that’s because of the effort they put in it. I don’t think Gangrel gets enough credit for that. Especially cause this was originally supposed to be a means to launch Edge.
hes a highly respected veteran who got over well with his character. Obviously, that character was only going to go so far in terms of main event status, similar to Goldust and Val Venis. But those kinds of characters have to exist. And Gangrel played it to perfection. I think he knew he would never be a main eventer with that character........but its not that bad if you love playing the character
The brood was super dope in hindsight. Ministry was one of my favorite factions aside from probably dx and nwo, I deff understand his reasoning tho, should have gave the brood more of a push!!
@@dclong- Just nostalgia. Some people feel the attitude era could do no wrong, when so much of it was still cringeworthy as shit. Edge's teeth looked more like vampire fangs than Gangrel's haha.
On the flip side, the Ministry also gave a lot of underutilized guys a ton of TV time and shit to do. The Acolytes and Edge and Christian all came out of it much bigger deals than when they joined.
Always loved the dark side/gothic type wrestlers, so when the Brood joined the Ministry I absolutely loved it! Felt they broke up the Brood from the ministry way too early though.
Booking was the real problem. The ministry could’ve sacrificed the brood and then they disappear for a bit, then they come back near the ministries end but a darker version of the brood sent back by the devil. Beat them and then boom. Everyone can move on without really looking weak because the ministry was gonna end anyway.
@@StaticVisionProductions Or have them join up with Stone Cold to feud with the ministry. If Stone Cold was going against the ministry, he needed people who were just like the ministry.
At the time it seemed a natural fit for Brood to join the Ministry of Darkness. It made more sense than Matt & Jeff Hardy joining Gangrel to form The New Brood.
I think that the Brood would've been better off as Kanes underlings rather than Takers. Then they could have feuded with the Ministry. But the Brood joining the Ministry and the Ministry joining the Corporation just diluted it too much. Kinda like the NWO.
gangrel teaming up with papa shango would be a dream tag team in my eyes! just saying also bradshaw and Ron Simmons definitely didn't belong in the ministry of darkness.
The Brood was good but Gangrel did nothing to gelp further the story line. Just look at the Bloodline and how they made you want to keep watching to see the next break in the storyline.
Gangrel should have been the WWF European Champion during the Attitude Era. But they really missed their chance to do that. It's sad that Gangrel never got to hold a WWE title.
The Brood was the coolest. That entrance to this day is the most iconic of all time.
That theme was so simple, but man it rocked
@@Segwo it was simple done really well, and they made it slap very hard lol. IINM, the kick or bass or whatever just hits extra hard lol
Entrance theme everything slapped. Blood bath they were the shit
Idk, that Glacier entrance was pretty dope over on Monday Nitro.
As a kid i was way more afraid of Gangrel than i ever was of Taker. Thought the fucker was a real vampire.
🤣☠️
I swear I thought he was a real vampire too 😭🤣🤣🤣
Undertaker was more cool than scary.
Me too
The 8 / 9 yr old me did I’m 34 now still remember him drinking blood spitting it out 😂
I respect where he’s coming from for sure!!
The Brood was lightning in a bottle!! So much talent in 3 amazing athletes!
Blip
The Brood was an amazing thing🔥
Brood was my favorite trio. Still listen to the them song to hype myself up for work
For a guy who had such a short run in the wwe, Gangrel is so iconic and synonymous with the attitude era. Such a unique character, badass entrance and that spike ddt he did was sick.
gangrel character was so good andsuccess because i thought he was a real vampire lol
So because you believed he was a real vampire, that was why he was successful? 😂 can sound more stupid than that.
@@Wide_leaf_indica710because the character was believable to the audience. Lay of the leaf bro , it’s fuckin up your ability to comprehend
Sick. Gangrel is wearing a shirt of Yokozuna
The Broods entrance was sick, I got so thrilled seeing Gangrel return and help Edge against the house of Black
That Yokozuna shirt is hard!
The brood is legendary
Man i remember the bloodbaths that they do.
The Brood. Good times good times

The Brood was always my favorite faction, and I would love to see one last reunion in AEW someday
Gangrel finisher was sick
Very smart well spoken guy never got his big chance, still got memories though but should of been more
The Brood was awesome. I was there one time in person and I can honestly say, Best entrance ever!
Gangrel is a absolute legend.!
There must be a brood entrance 2023/2024. Even if its the last one. It must happen!
Gangrel was my favorite character to play with on WWF No Mercy on the N64. He was definitely a unique character and one of my favorites of all time.
You mean WrestleMania 2000 he def wasn't on No Mercy you had to Create Gangrel there
Their music entrance is my ringtone call
They were like rock stars we when they were the brood
Loved the brood
I loved the Brood! Entrance music was fire!
The Brood was AMAZING!!!!
Loved The Brood! Very well done. And the entrance music and intro were awesome!!
Over the Brood and the entrance music.
Gangrel was awesome. One of the best entrances and finishing moves ever. His time in WWE was too short.
Best entrance ever!
The Brood was one of my all time favorite factions, just wish it would’ve lasted longer.
Best intro track to pop
Extremely understandable perspective. I wish he would have been in the light longer but you know how it goes
Mad big respect to Gangrel or just accepting what it was then and knowing the fact that that was the end of The Brood and no hard feelings for it
The entrance with the brood with the underraker sitting on the throne watching them emerge was a sight man
I swear that music would send shivers down my spine when I heard it. I was really scared of Gangrel growing up lol. Especially playing Wrestlemania 2000 on the N64
I'm on his side. The Brood was amazing and should have been left alone.

Edge and the undertaker in a staple is crazy
I was there the night they joined...i was a huge fan of both groups so it was awesome....hindsight though...Gangrel is right.
Its been awesome discovering Gangrel's podcast
Hello:) I agree, it was the end , the brood was awesome! You are amazing!!

I don’t think Gangrel gets enough credit for that. Especially cause this was originally supposed to be a means to launch Edge.
I mean, the chemistry between two of the three wasn't really inexplicable, as they'd been wrestling together most of their lives.
Gangrel was my favourite of The Brood. It's a shame he didn't go on to have more success.
hes a highly respected veteran who got over well with his character. Obviously, that character was only going to go so far in terms of main event status, similar to Goldust and Val Venis. He didnt have the looks or physique to go further than midcard, and his mic skills should have kept him off the screen altogether.
Loved Gangrel and the brood also the only time Edge was cool.
The brood should do like a reunion or something
The brood was super dope in hindsight. Ministry was one of my favorite factions aside from probably dx and nwo, I deff understand his reasoning tho, should have gave the brood more of a push!!
The wsy they placed his fangs made him look like a buck-tooth rabbit vampire 😂
It really was ridiculous. Between the silly walrus tusks, and the fact that he was pretty doughy, the dude looks nothing like a vampire to me.
@@Wintermute-088 exactly! It genuinely confuses me when people disagree. It was hilarious, if anything.
@@dclong- Just nostalgia. Some people feel the attitude era could do no wrong, when so much of it was still cringeworthy as shit.

Poor Gangrel got left behind
ah man, i feel for him
Most underrated group
Bro I used to love gangrel so much that I made a Facebook one time saying that it was him 🤣 might even be active it was like 2011 maybe
I liked gangrel with Viscera and. Mideon
On the flip side, the Ministry also gave a lot of underutilized guys a ton of TV time and shit to do. The Acolytes and Edge and Christian all came out of it much bigger deals than when they joined.
Wow I thought you was hype for join ministry of darkness get when I became a fan of you
Why does he look like Zack’s Granfather from saved by the bell
I'd absolutely love to have gangrel inducted

They should of been kept separate
Facts or build up to a feud with The Undertaker vs Gangrel
@@StaticVisionProductions Or have them join up with Stone Cold to feud with the ministry. If Stone Cold was going against the ministry, he needed people who were just like the ministry.
Still pretty sure he's a vampire
Nah the end of the brood was the first time y’all cut a promo, went from lost boys to an amber alert
The Brood had nothing going for them anyway when they werent with the ministry
They definitely should have just feuded rather than joined the Ministry.
Is he able to take the fangs out? I didn’t see them and thought he had permanent fangs made to be his regular teeth lol
Always thought those teeth were actually surgically put on him back in the day.
I always figured they were caps. They could be removed at any time.
Gangrel. Since Adam is in aew with Christian after they get there story line out the way PLEASE DO A BROOD REUNION
To this day i thought the judgment day was done new version of the brood. Are they vampires, vampire hunters, emo kids???
The brood could have been more than it actually was
Damn I actually loved the brood in the ministry it was so cool
Brood was cool, but the ministry was the end of the road.
It had to be the end of it u have to expand and grow at some point
At the time it seemed a natural fit for Brood to join the Ministry of Darkness. It made more sense than Matt & Jeff Hardy joining Gangrel to form The New Brood.
Now maybe judgment day and wyatt sicks can be together i don't think
I think that the Brood would've been better off as Kanes underlings rather than Takers. Then they could have feuded with the Ministry. But the Brood joining the Ministry and the Ministry joining the Corporation just diluted it too much. Kinda like the NWO.
Brood > The Ministry
He should go to aew lol
I liked the Brood but WWE already had A dead man type thing going.
gangrel teaming up with papa shango would be a dream tag team in my eyes! just saying also bradshaw and Ron Simmons definitely didn't belong in the ministry of darkness.
Honestly, even if the brood didnt join the ministry, vince hates groups and they would've broken up fast.
Those promos they cut were embarrassing
The Brood was good but Gangrel did nothing to gelp further the story line. Just look at the Bloodline and how they made you want to keep watching to see the next break in the storyline.
I didn't like it at any point! I don't like that dark stuff!
Gangrel was mid as fuck who cares. Only reason he was ever good was his theme song, edge and christian and the ministry of darkness
Gangrel should have been the WWF European Champion during the Attitude Era. But they really missed their chance to do that. It's sad that Gangrel never got to hold a WWE title.
