I love this fight because there's no cheap distractions or interferences. It's just a straight on 1 on 1 where Boba and Vader really go at it.
Each getting the upper hand on the other until of course...the force comes into play.

I like that Marvel movie reference, another Marvel thing I noticed was that severed head in the box looks just like the comic book version of Gamora..green skin with gold color around eyes.
That would not have killed him. Vader survived that when Cylo turned all of his systems off with a motherfckng remote like Vader was nothing but a TV.
In legends Vader was buried alive for days without his helmet while his entire armor+electronics were damaged pretty bad.
@@danmarusan2878 yes but he would be at a disadvantage because he would need to concentrate on the force to survive without his respirator. Limiting his force abilities
One of the coolest things about Boba is just how he wasn’t afraid of Vader.
Because boba had sand and threatened Vader with it

I’m convinced Vader low key wanted to have some fun. Cause We all know how busted Vader is when he wants to be ,this could’ve been a simple force body bind to force choke & then Boba would be immobilized like he had him at the end& it be over like that but Vader wanted some action lol
I really think he came to enjoy a good test, since Sheev was throwing them at him so often. Vader even asked Tarkin to play a particular game in which Tarkin and his men would hunt Vader as if they were in Africa poaching elephants or something lol. If I'm remembering correctly, Vader even held back from using the Force (although I may be confusing this with the one where Palps gave him a test and ordered him to not use the Force during its completion.) After things died down with the O66 survivors etc, I think Vader really needed an outlet, both to keep his skills sharp and, since he was dark side af at that point, to vent his rage. You know what they say; everyone needs a hobby!

I like to pretend and I know Im incorrect but pretend the reason he hasnt killed some people is some side of the old anakin in him, but that he's capable of killing all he lost to, but something prevents him from doing it, but I know thats likely not true but I pretend it is lol
Boba is just so cool. His one liners are just so badass. He’s always been one of my favourite characters. I’m glad we finally got a series about him.

@@thevaden2024 I think it’s representing him perfectly well. You’ve got to understand he’s older now. And having him be a complete savage every episode would get boring. They’re building up to something big.

I like when he had a green lightsaber and told Vader he wasn’t the only one who’s killed Jedi.
Boba is such a badass in the comics. Even in the newer Disney canon comics, he is vicious and cunning. Would like to see that side of him in the show before the season is out, even if it's just a flashback.

What a fight!
This gives context to why vader has some respect for boba and why in the OT when Fett makes a demand, vader listens. Yes, Vader *could* kill Boba... but he knows it would be a pain in his ass to do so, and so he would rather not deal with that and work with boba instead.
Plus Boba was originally meant to be Vader's brother. I think even though they changed that fact, because it was an original thought, I think he's so good because he was so closely tied to Vader as a character.
Idk how it would be a pain in the ass by any means… he could literally just force crush his ass, force pick him up, and force choke him… all with one hand…
The only real way bobs could contend with Vader is if he was either he could use the force himself or was absolutely force resistant…

Hey, theory. I properly listened to his new theme song and it all clicked. I understand the new direction they are taking Boba. I didn't like his new theme or the direction the writers are taking him until I realised it's the same theme from Empire. It's the same notes played differently. It's his theme. The new theme represents the new attitude, life path and approach to conflict he's taking. It's brighter and heroic compared to the more sinister tone of the original version.
In the old EU he had a similar change of character after his experience with the sarlacc. He became more of an anti-hero, redeeming himself, reconciling with Han Solo and even going on to be a mentor. So the way they are taking him isn't completely character breaking. In fact, by making him desire a leadership role in the underworld, I think they are prepping him for a Mandalore arc. I think they are going to make him Mandalore just as he was in the EU.
I still wish he talked less, wore his helmet more and kicked more ass, though. The writers need to stop making him a bitch to prop up other characters.
This was one of my favorite comics growing up. I love seeing you talk about these stories.
I personally think they should retcon this encounter to be the reason why Boba has the Dent in his Helmet. They can say that during the fight Vader held Boba with the force and began to slowly press his saber to Boba’s head and with quick thinking Boba retaliated by having his Knee Rockets catch Vader off Guard free himself. The prolonged exposure to the lightsabre can explain why the Beskar was altered/deformed. It would help provide a reason why the dent exist and establishes that Beskar isn’t completely invulnerable
His armor isn't made out of pure beskar. It's a beskar alloy. For canon, it's even mentioned once in rebels that all mandalorian armor is made out of a beskar alloy. Anyway pure beskar, as we saw from The Mandalorian, can withstand even lightsaber impacts, so what you're saying wouldn't make sense then anyway. Not that Vader stabbing Boba's head specifically makes any sense, or as dramatic as a shoot off between Boba and Cad Bane, I think
These comics were awesome. As the head starts to fall to the River of lava I was like NOOOOOOO.

I literally JUST finished this story, it was one of the left stories in the 'Marvel Epic Collection: The Empire Vol. 4' I love that we get to see how Boba Fett got that infamous dent in his Beskar helmet. I just started Vol. 6 (I couldn't find a copy of Vol 5.) and it's littered with Boba Fett appearances and a few of his own stories. I highly recommend to anyone that loves them some Boba Fett as much as I do.

In another universe, they're brothers. Since it was actually an idea that Fett would be his family, maybe because his character is so originally tied to Vader, he just has that knack to survive like Vader does.

Such an epic encounter and legendary fighting between Vader and Boba fett.
This would've been a great last stand:
As Boba raised his right arm and ignited his flamethrower, Vader raised his. The jetstream of flame that was meant for the Dark Lord of the Sith, reflected back and engulfed the bounty hunter. The screams of agony came out of Fett as he was boiled alive in his armor. When the screams subsided only the mechanized breathing was heard. Vader turned and walked away from the burning corpse, retrieving his lightsaber from the ground with the force, an explosion behind him due to the bounty hunter's jetpack and arsenal. As Vader neared his ship, a seismic charge went off from within, destroying it and catching Vader off guard, shattering his armor, and knocking him to the ground. The distressed breathing was frantic...Although he killed Boba Fett, it appears the bounty hunter had one last trick up his sleeve. Vader had to rely on his master to rescue him once more, which enfuriated him further.
"Vader is not one to maintain fruitless enimities..." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I wish they would redue Morrisons lines for the old trilogy. And make him sound more like the original lines. Those convey a more "equal" footing with Vader where as Morrisons new lined make him sound "lesser"

This was a VERY underrated comic. Loved it and its unique art. Though if we're going for best fights in Legends. It's Carnor Jax vs. Kir Kanos from Crimson Empire. The duel was brutally long and was a rollercoaster ride of constant shifts on who was the better. Until one Crimson Guardsman emerged victorious over the other. The other amazing fight is of course Maul Clone vs. Vader in Star Wars Tales.
This fight is incredible! It could easily be adapted into live action frame by frame and be absolutely perfect! Wow!

The dude can use the force to pull down giant monsters and even use the force to crush a person throat or heart. What exactly does boba do against vader? In case non hardcore fans wonder: THIS is the Boba Fett we wanted in the TV Series. Hope he becomes a bit more brutal in the next episodes.
Yes. THIS is indeed the Boba we wanted. And having this scene integrated into canon would firmly establish Boba as an undeniable badass who earned Vader's respect.
@@animatedink2529 I still cannot understand how they made him a violent badass in Mando Season 2, only for him to do nothing in his own TV Show. I don't care about character development for someone who has been established as, some sort of, Judge Dredd in the Star Wars Universe.
Also, The Mandalorian showed that you still can have quite some hefty violence in PG-13 Star Wars, but Boba Fett has 4 episodes where he is almost only negotiating :(
