Perfect Dark, Fable, Gears of War and Black Ops 6. These are 4 classic franchises on the Xbox 360 that are back each with a strong reception. Very nostalgic
There are a few well known SBI/DEI games on this list I'm gonna avoid. I'm not supporting Larry Fink and his Orwellian agenda.

@@thebigbient8736 It's a really weird thing what game companies are doing with female characters. But Many people took that frame from the trailer where Joanna appears in the wingsuit, which gives the impression that her neck is wider because of the outfit and made it look like her chin was too big, and compared it to the version in Perfect Dark Zero that Joanna is much younger, but compared to the original version from 64 she is very similar and her more mature look is very cool, apart from the fact that she is very similar to the original model who is beautiful too, and the game in general looks very well done and interesting gameplay.
Maybe it's just me, but this showcase made me question if gaming is still something I enjoy, as nothing got me excited there. Maybe it's because I'm mostly a retrogamer and an indie gamer when it comes to modern gaming? It's possible. If anyone feels the same, let me know, since right now it seems I'm the only one who's not excited for those games. I hope I'm not alone on this.

I agree with you 💯. It feels like 80% of games are FPS (which I personally don't enjoy), sequels, or remake/remasters.
Me too. I play mostly retro's as well. I'm 40 now, and modern triple A gaming often just feels like a game that I've played a thousand times before, repackaged slightly with a different story, characters etc. Back in my day 😆 each generation felt fresh, innovative and creative. Now it seems they just want to stick to the same copy paste formula, not wanting to take risk with their large investments
I still love gaming, maybe it's just not for you anymore in that case just stick to the retro stuff. No shame in that.

So… a new Doom looks fun. Beyond that, I’m okay. I just think games are getting too big for me to dive into everything. I honestly just don’t have the time.

I bought s xbox series x day one and to be honest the last 13 months its sat there, then in febi bought a ps5 and hammered that literally playing ps4 games with minimal effort applied. I was hoping avowed,gears ,fable and clockwork revolution, perfect dark . ....i wasn't disappointed. Wow xbox you absolutely smashed it !!!! Wow yes!!!

It took me a year to psych myself up to play Dead Space 2 after playing through and thoroughly enjoying the first game when it launched. You can push yourself into playing Wu Chang Fallen Feathers when you're in the right mood.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is my favorite in the series, and one of my favorite games of all time, if Konami doesn't screw this remake up, it will be well worth your time.

I'm still cautiously optimistic, but as a huge fan of the first 3 Gears of War games that trailer looked like they are going back to their roots and giving us the story I've always wanted to see: E-Day. We'll see 😀.

Can't say I agree. There was some nice stuff, but also a lot of DEI-infested trash. Joanna Dark's design could not escape it either, I won't touch the game with a 10 ft pole now and I'd rather f*p to her N64 low-poly version.

Best gaming Showcase I’ve ever seen in my life. 10/10. First game Showcase EVER I was interested the entire time. Perfect Dark, Fable, Doom, South of Midnight, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Gears of War E-Day had my jaw on the carpet. Xbox is definitely cooking.
Doom Medieval looks pretty amazing, like a Hexen/Heretic reboot... as long as Marty Stratton isn't involved I'll be in.
If you've never seen any of the three Indiana Jones movies definately give them a go. There are only three, if someone tries to convince you there is a 4 or 5 then they are delusional.
The Young Indiana Jones series is definitely a worthy companion to the trilogy.

I am female but I, as many do, think there were too many female protagonists. Next year it will be only females as protagonists that are fighting against guys. I'm all for equal rights but this is taking it too far.
most games give you a choice or don't have a protagonist with a gender, It's not a problem.

That was a pleasant surprise, with it’s back against the wall, Xbox did exactly what it needed to do!
I’m certainly one of those people whose been down on the Xbox brand of late for a number of reasons.
But, as a gamer the whole no BS, killer game presentation of that Xbox showcase suddenly made me very happy to have it and looking forward to the future.
I was also so glad to see in the new hardware reveal, that they not only kept the Series X with the Blu-ray drive( for now), but made it a neat looking 2 Terabyte special edition!

Nearly every game looked to be possibly burdened by the enforced DEI box ticking you have been commenting on recently though. I'll try to keep an open mind until the games are released.
Could just be because those have been popular games. Think aloy on horizon or Laura in tomb raider.
Xbox always had the potential. They just always play it too safe and stopped trying to push the hardware.
Just look at the controller they haven’t improved in 20 years which at the time was ergonomic but now their competitors have caught up and raised the ante.
If they actually put out a portable game pass machine, Sony and Nintendo would start sweating.

Few things in life beat the feeling of getting a new game console. I watch these videos desperately looking for a reason to buy a next-gen console. This looks like a decent reaction from Xbox, but I'd rather still wait. Consoles basically do nothing other than offer a user friendly interface for gaming. If it doesn't have a game I'm excited about, it just sits there.
You should absolutely play the first 3 Dragon Age games. And the upcoming one is 100% single player. Zero multiplayer. BioWare has been very clear about that.

I was so happy to see State of Decay 3. Those games are actually really fun and this one looks amazing. Doom, Perfect Dark and Gears are great too. A lot of stuff was cool.
Xbox has so many great studios and somehow people thought they would never show games, of course games nowadays take long to develop but it's not like all those studios are there doing nothing, now they showed everything they have in store.
I hope the only American console maker can get back to where it was in the 360 days! I love the xbox brand have owned every generation!

Stalker 2's development studio is indeed from Ukraine, just like the developers of the old Stalker games were, but they moved the production to Prague I think bc of the war and it delayed the production of the game.
I was surprised it was actually pretty decent, not mind-blowing though. And then PC Gamer's "PC Games Show" happened and the cringe level was so high I thought it might end me.

Gears E-Day is the star of the show for me. brings with it some concerns though, mainly the existence or not of the ""gears collection" that has been rumoured for years. if they are doing a prequel and putting it on pc when do we get the rest of the story on pc? gears 2 3 and judgment all need PC releases! just hope it's not the start of the story retcons, remake the games for "modern audiences"!

Doom and Perfect Dark, the only two that really stood out to me.
im sure State of Decay 3 might be an okay game, but if you played the first two then you kinda know what to expect. i have to admit the Indiana Jones game looks interesting, but Dragon Age was a massive disappointment.
i know some people are saying it's too early to judge,
but what we just saw is a game, and it's a game that's coming out this year
later in the fall, and it's not anything even remotely what people thought
it might be. I have no interest in Gears at all, but i know the long time fans prefer Marcus, so atleast your getting him, but alot of the games showed here, they all look like gamepass games.

@@Jeymez I don't think Perfect Dark stood out. Joanna's design is ruined with DEI trash and the gameplay looked far more like Mirror's Edge than any Perfect Dark game. Both PD and PDZ were more about being an actual spy, a female Bond. That doesn't quite seem to be the case here.
I was surprised at how good their show case was. Now the question of can they deliver on it. Year, after year, after year of game delays and games that don't live up to their hype can only disappoint can only continue to hamper them and is their problem. Which falls on Xbox management and higher ups that don't know what their doing.

It was banger, after banger, after banger revealed for me.
The Black Ops 6 campaign looked great and reminded me of the Black Ops 1/2 era of entertaining conspiracy storylines. Then Doom Dark Age was awesome. I enjoyed the Indiana Jones cutscene, which felt like classic Indy.
Expedition 33 looked like a hybrid tactical turn based with action flair. Also felt like a JRPG, which i like. Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater was fire. Plus Gears of War and Wuchang.
I even liked Perfect Dark and the Dragon Age Veilguard trailers. Though i admit the Dragon Age new art style is strange.
Overall a very great showcase, especially compared to that Playstation State of Play recently.
i like all types of games so im not a console fanboy. and xbox did pretty well. im hype for a lot of those games. (i play on pc though) so ill be able to play those. but still. im pretty hype
I was impressed it was mostly game footage instead of mostly talk nobody NEVER wants to hear!
I'm afraid we're giving Microsoft too much credit. Microsoft has a very bad history with remakes from purchased studios. They can make great flashy trailers, but their buying spree, along with the resultant layoffs/brain-drain from each studio they purchased, definitely means that these games are going to be largely soulless experiences. Gears of War without CliffyB? Metal Gear without Kojima? People should probably temper their expectations a bit, because many of these will end up unable to read the room in the same way their Battletoads remake failed, and their Conker remake failed.

I hope those games have local co-op and/ or local mp, especially State of Decay 3.
