    I like what you say at 5:50. Having a reliable car gives you that peace of mind every time you slam the gas or take corners, it's like having a psychological edge. If you're worried about your car reliability every time you push you have the worry in the back of your mind which makes it not as fun.

    Fellow 8th FA5 Si owner here. This has been my favorite car I have ever owned. It's '09 so the 3rd gear grind hasn't been an issue for me, and it's garage kept, so the paint is still lustrous! I have a HR CAI, HR shifter bushings, Buddy club short shifter, JDM Shift boot. Koni/Tien suspension, Comptech shortie header (that does give me gains!).

    • @FutureDeltaPilot747
      @FutureDeltaPilot747 4 года назад

      liang liam i've own an 8th gen civic sedan and now the coupe. Havent owned a 9th gen but have been in one and can tell you that the 8th gen is the last true Civic. The 9th gen has a K20 while the 9th gen has a K24. The K24 has a few fingers more HP than the K20 and more torque which means VTEC is not as dramatic as the K20. If you want a simple car and raw driving experience get the 8th gen. If you want a nice interior with tech and safety features then get the 9th gen.

      I believe it is the best modern Vtec platform you can buy. What makes it unique is it's very high revving engine... something they would take away for gen 9. You can argue that some of the previous older gens are more fun, but if you're looking for more safety, better features, and overall fun factor. Gen 8 is the best in my opinion.

    "beat up / abuse a car over and over again and nothing will happen" is a crock of sh*t. Even a reliable car like a Honda will still suffer issues. Any car.

    Picked one up tody, 07 with 84k miles on it. I owned 10th gen si as well. Can't really compare the Vtech to 10th gen anymore. To be honest, best SI's are 10th gen hands down. But the sound of an 8th gen is so fuckin' sexy even if it's stock. I love both cars!!!

      Thoughts on why you prefer the 10th vs 8th gen? I was considering both until I found a 10th gen for a deal, never got to try the 8th.

    Nice video, I always wanted a 8th gen si and I finally saved enough to get one and went to a dealership nearby that had one but it is WAY too small in there for me, me head was literally touching the roof, I didn’t buy it unfortunately just for that alone might go get a s2k instead

    • @robdog9265
      @robdog9265  5 лет назад

      The s2k is a dream car to me! If you could make it work, it is definitely worth it. Extremely fun to drive, quicker than an Si, RWD, great aftermarket, cheap on gas, amazing on a track, I can go on and on. Helps that they also hold their value, if Honda doesn't make another one, I feel like they may go up in price in the future.
