  • Busch Gardens Tampa is about to get one of the largest investments in the park's history. The last major coaster the park opened was in 2022 when they opened Iron Gwazi which was praised as one of the greatest new additions & overall best coasters at any park in the world. What Busch Gardens has planned for their next coaster in 2026 though is a whole lot crazier than anything we’ve seen! Busch Gardens Tampa really doesn’t disappoint when it comes to new coasters & it looks like their upcoming new coaster project already under construction will be one of the biggest investments the park has ever made & finally give the park the super elite coaster lineup it was always destined for. Busch Gardens Tampa is already one of the best parks in the country, but with the new things they have in store, this park may soon be home to what could easily be one of the best roller coaster lineups in the world!

      No doubt that it would be fun but it is a pretty niche ride and also pretty risky. If BGT wants to draw from the Orlando market, it is much easier to market with buzz words like BIGGEST, TALLEST, LONGEST in Florida. Also, let's face it, S&S hasn't been too reliable lately with the Steel Curtain fiasco. Personally, I would like to see an Intamin giga but I think if they are going to do it, it will be a Beemer and I'm fine with that. BGT has an almost 30 year relationship with B&M so I'm pretty sure they will go with them for their largest investment ever.

    As far as all of us would love a giga, I don't see it happening. Busch Gardens is on top of an aquifer. There is already an issue out by the retention ponds. With how things are running at BGT right now, I think they are focusing all finances toward Wild Oasis, Jungala refurbishment. Now with all this tightening of the budget and watching every penny could be that they are saving up for the giga.

  • @dreams2reality410
    @dreams2reality410 25 дней назад +7

    This is one of my home parks. It's fun to dream, but I just don't see BGT getting a giga. In this day and age, a giga will easily cost 35 to 40+ million bucks. I could see them spending 20 to 25 million on a new addition. But even that is a serious stretch. I think a B&M hyper is more likely budget wise. However, Seaworld Orlando already has a world-class hyper with Mako. Why build another one right down the street. Tough to say what they will get. With Epic opening up, I definitely see BGT making a big splash investment in the next few years to help them stay relevant in the market. Imo the best addition for the park would be either a new Mack extreme spinner or a Mack Stryker coaster. Either one of those additions would make BGT a world-class must visit coaster park.

    • @nito209
      @nito209 24 дня назад +3

      I’m from Clearwater BGT is my home part. If we get a S&S axis coaster that will cover the spinning you’re talking about. And potentially it could be more marketable in my humble opinion.

      Same here, I really don't see why an S&S Axis isn't the wrong option, but a Giga isn't far from impossible either. There was actually confirmed Axis track being sent to a park in the middle east (I think) that has yet to be announced. But with the recent closures of Serengeti Flyer, I don't think the "relationship" between SeaWorld and S&S will continue, if there was any relations to begin with.

    @Justin-og9gu 24 дня назад

    This is wishful thinking.
    The park knew Scorpion was dying. They know the needed something in that area of the park to replace it. That's Phoenix Rising.
    You're looking at this as an enthusiast asking how the park can have the best lineup possible. The people running the parks look at them as a business.
    Every thoosie who CAN go to BG: Tampa already does for Iron Gwazi. They already have thrill seekers locked down. Why spend more money trying to capture the audience they already have? The main money maker is families anyway, it's better to invest there which is exactly what we have seen them doing.
    Busch Gardens: Tampa is not trying to "compete" with Epic Universe. No one can compete with Universal or Disney (except Universal or Disney). They know they will be an add-on to Orlando vacations and that's the market niche they try to cater to.
    I wish this were true, but I don't see any evidence that it is. I don't understand how Scorpions removal plays into any of this. It's not like you could fit a gigas station into that tiny plot of land.
