Some of these look awesome! Here's my list so far out of my 163 credits:
Arrow Dynamics: second airtime hill - Magnum XL-200 (I didn't love the finale, but it was still pretty good. However, I think the 2nd hill of the first part of the ride stands out more. It gave me great flowjector every time.)
B&M: first airtime hill - Candymonium (Out of all the airtime hills, this one might be my favorite. 5 seconds of pure floating goodness is hard to beat!)
CCI: lateral helix - Legend (Not many non-portable coasters play with laterals, so when you get something like this, it's welcome. It tries to throw you out. It lasts forever.)
Chance Rides: first drop - Lightning Run (It would probably be the finale if I didn't get stapled every time. I don't know how it's possible to not. The only element you can enjoy without it is the first drop, which is pretty good in the back.)
Dinn Corp.: helix finale - Beast (If we're counting the Beast, then this at night of course! If not, I'll go with the first drop on Thunder Run, which was surprisingly good in the back.)
E&F Miler: ejector hills - Hurricanes (Both of these Fun Spot coasters end with an insane ejector hill.)
GCI: lateral switchback finale - Mystic Timbers (Hard to pick standout elements on these, but I really enjoyed the final run of little hills and laterals on Mystic Timbers.)
Gerstlauer: big drop - Mystery Mine (Super fun with the holding brake and all. Either this or the dive loop stall at the end of the ride.)
Gravity Group: first drop - Mine Blower (I enjoyed Voyage a lot more, but it didn't really have big standout elements for me like many people say it does. So I'm going with Mine Blower's first drop, which is excellent in the back, and dare I say, better than Voyage's.)
Intamin: second launch - Maverick (It's hard to choose between this and anything in the first half of I305... They're all awesome!)
Mack Rides: Jojo Roll - Copperhead Strike (This ride has 3 great hangtime moments, but the slow roll to start is probably my favorite. You really can't go wrong with the airtime hills either.)
Maurer Rides: first drop - Rip Ride Rockit (Absolutely my favorite part of the ride. Airtime all the way down. I will have to give it more rides soon though and see if the loop hits better.)
Premier Rides: top hat - Ice Breaker (This and the spike are really good, as are the launch and inversions on the Flight of Fear rides. Hard to pick one!)
PTC: second airtime hill - Blue Streak (Hard to pick something for these, they're all pretty similar, some with better airtime than others. Blue Streak doesn't do much, but that second hill made me fly out of my seat. Definitely a standout moment on the ride.)
RMC: first zero-g roll - ArieForce One (So many good options... This one is elite, slightly better than the ones on Wildcat's Revenge. Then there's the double up, IGwazi death roll, LRod finale, and everything on WCR and SteVe, and yeah...)
S&S: flips - Tumbili (The only S&S I've ridden has standout flips, which are insane. Everything else is pretty boring.)
Schwarzkopf: first vertical loop - Mindbender (Before the trims ruin the ride, you get a pretty forceful loop, which is slightly better than Scorpion's (RIP) I think.)
Vekoma: launch - Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (Great launch. Either this or the vertical loop on Nighthawk.)
Wiegand: longest drop - Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster (There's a drop on this one that is longer than the standard dips, so you pick up some extra speed, so it's exciting.)
Zamperla: spinning lateral turns - Galaxy Spin (Haven't ridden much by Zamperla, but I'm a big fan of the insane spin you get on this ride. I have yet to ride a spinning coaster more insane than this one, but I see my options...)
Zierer: uhh... I've only ridden the Grover kids coasters by these guys, so idk

Think the double inverting snake dive on Ride to Happiness makes it as my #1 overall, so clearly #1 on a Mack.
Got 2 rides where i hit that sideways, went head over heels, then spun and came out of it the opposite way, only to be yanked backwards into the 2nd inversion. Never experienced anything close to it.

  • @GPXBrent

That's a fun list ! My call on the main manufacturers would be something like that :
Arrow : backward's drop on Revolution.
Intamin : probably the rolling thunder hill on El Toro. Yeah it's a bit shorter than the ejector on the first 2 camelbacks, but it's more brutal and the contrast with the high positive G forces turn right before is insane. BGCE's last inversion is also absolutely phenomenal...
B&M : either Katun's cobra roll or Shambhala's first camelback. I'm also a huge fan of the ZGR on Black Mamba.
    Gerstlauer : Anubis first launch.
Mack : the double inverting dive loop on Ride to Happiness, or the turnaround on Hyperia.
Vekoma : FLY's second launch, without any hesitation.
Zamperla : ... yeah, I guess the launch on their motocoasters is decent...
Schwarzkopf : one of the 5 vertical loops on Olympia Looping.
GCI : it's very specific, but it would be Wodan's s-turn under Atlantica's drop, a fast paced twist surrounded by 2 quick airtime moments.
CCI : the first drop on Tonnerre de Zeus.
Gravity Group : Twister's first camelback (I haven't been on The Voyage yet...)
S&S : the drop on Timber drop (there's not a lot of good S&S coasters in Europe, unfortunately).
RMC : not easy... Probably Zadra's second inversion (a step-up under flip hidden in a wooden structure, by night it's a marvel), or the twisted hill near the end of the ride with a ridiculous ejector+whip moment.
Premier ride : the airtime at the top of the Skyrocket models (not during the drop, but before : during the upward climb).
Maurer : in Tarantula, there's a horseshoe leading right into an s-turn in a trench. Surprisingly fast and punchy for a spinning coaster.

Thought up a couple candidates from your non-credits:
-Mack: Ride to Happiness's's's's double-inverting dive loop, Hyperia's first drop, Hyperia's outer bank into downhill barrel roll
-Intamin: the giant fuck-off airtime hill on Falcon's Flight (assuming it gets built)
-Vekoma: the weird barrel roll hill they start their Top Guns with, one of the airtime hills on Hals Über Kopf, station fly-by corkscrew on Lech, first drop on Lech
-PTC: Swamp Fox's (that's not a credit of yours, right?) pseudo-double-up
-Gerstlauer: surprise #1 on Karnan, first drop on Karnan

    Intamin: Colossos's Camelbacks
Mack Rides: Hyperia's weird outer bank
    Vekoma: F.L.Y.'s corkscrews

also, I absolutely love voltron, it's my number two only behind ride to happiness (above gwazi, steve, fury, veloci, any east coast coaster pretty much), but the vertical launch itself wasn't really that great to me. It wasn't even my favorite launch on the ride, which was the backwards one out of the turntable. That launch is AWESOME. I do need to get out to lagoon to try wicked though, I imagine the launch feeling is a little different if you enjoyed it so much!

I'm a lover of bone-crushing helices, so I would pick the pre-trim Goliath helix at SFMM for Giavanola. Strangely, I've never grayed out on it so I count myself lucky. For Arrow I would probably pick the first drop of Shock Wave at SFGA before it was torn down. It might just be nostalgia, but I rode it the year it opened and it was insane. Even better than the first drop of Viper at SFMM, which is saying something. X2's first drop is a pretty epic choice though too. Very different in feeling and I can see why you chose it.

You don't have commuter rail in the middle of nowhere in America unless your Metro North or maybe the end of the MBTA's Fitchburg line-but there's a Great Wolf nearby so its debatable

I’ve heard for Mack rides, RTH’s drop is taken at the same angle just with way more force since you take it faster.

  • @Cedarviews

IMO, the drop on Eejanaika was really good but the best part was that zero g roll. The fact that you were getting some of the strongest airtime ever while flipping. There is nothing like it anywhere else. No I didn’t get to do Do-dodonpa because it was closed and was actually just beginning its demolition when I was there.

For me, for the manufacturers coasters I’ve done at least one of that you’ve said, it would go: (Spoiler on Intamin’s if someone doesn’t know).
Arrow Dynamics=The Big One’s First drop
    B&M=Nemesis Reborn’s downwards helix
    GCI=Wicker Man’s first drop
    Gerstlauer=Anubis: The Ride’s launch
GravityKraft=Cú Chulainn’s overbanked turn due to the rest of ride being painful
Intamin=I personally can’t choose between Th13teen’s Drop Track and The Wave’s Zero-G Roll, that element on The Wave is crazy for a family park
Mack Rides would probably be Hyperia’s outward banked turn into the downward Heartline roll but also the stall is good and also the Jojo roll on The Ride to Happiness
Maurer Rides would probably be Spinball Whizzer’s downward S-bend into the 2nd horseshoe element
Pinfari… umm… Big Apple at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach with its main drop… I guess…
SBF Visa Group would probably be Mad Mouse at Clarence Pier, it is a Zyklon / Galaxy so I don’t really know, I guess the first drop
Vekoma would 100% be Fianna Force but for element, I have no idea either the final airtime hills or the Zero-G Roll
Zamperla would most likely be Pinball X at Flamingo Park but that is just an ordinary spinning wild mouse but when I went on it, it didn’t spin so I have no idea (I’m sorry)…
Zierer would probably be Minifigure Speedway (Team Allstars) final turn back into the station backwards as that is surprisingly intense.

  • @dominicjannazo7144
    @dominicjannazo7144 4 месяца назад

The best SBF visa element is the second of three hills on their "big air" model. It gives some actual airtime, and as its spinning cars, it can be sideways or backwards.
Also the hamster wheel cars are wacky, but it's hard to call them an element.

I think the best one for Mack is either the drop of rth in the back row (better if backwards, it's much faster and higher than the one on time traveler) or the double inverting dive loop always in rth.

I feel like there aren't many manufacturers where I've ridden enough coasters to really have an opinion.
Ok, Arrow. I think my favorite Arrow element might have been the final drop on Big Bad Wolf. It wasn't huge and it wasn't actually even very steep, but it seemed almost vertical. Some of that is presentation: it was preceded by a tall, slow second lift and was hidden by trees so that you couldn't really see it until you were right in it, then suddenly you were plunging toward the river with the track over your head. The ride had a real sense of drama; that bit was almost a prefiguring of the dive coaster.
But Drachen Fire's corkscrew halfway down the first drop was pretty great too. Too bad about the rest of the ride.
PTC: this is another defunct one: the pre-drop and swooping turnaround into the first drop on Mr. Twister. Riding that with nothing but a buzzbar, it really felt like you were going to pitch over the edge 90 feet down. The Knoebels Twister and Twister II both attempt to resurrect this, but I haven't ridden them so I don't know how they are.
Vekoma: the backwards drop into the forceful dark helix on Expedition Everest.
Intamin: oh, probably Superman: The Ride's first drop. Though I also really like that run of bunny hills that comes out of nowhere right at the end, after you get out of the last tunnel. You think this long, long ride is basically over, and it's "...and another thing!"
B&M: First drop on Shambhala. Or maybe the ampersand. Or maybe that speed hill that follows. Nah, I'll go with the first drop.
CCI: I really like Boulder Dash's far turnaround, for some reason. The rest of the ride has gotten rough and it's come down in my rankings, but the laterals on that turnaround hold up, along with the realization that after this insane ride through the woods you're being hurled into a whole second half along the lake that is somehow more powerful.
Premier: I'll go with your pick; it was actually more or less what I was thinking. "Those twists that Sky Rocket IIs do to keep you upright."

    • @MattMcIrvin
      @MattMcIrvin 4 месяца назад

...Not a lot of inversions there. Here are some inversions:
RMC: The zero-g stall punching through the lift hill on Wicked Cyclone.
Gerstlauer: The lazy, hangtimey vertical loop on 320/320+ coasters. (Most enthusiasts seem to like the roll more as a hangtime moment, but that loop off the first drop wins for me.)
But these are manufacturers where I've only ridden one coaster.
