I feel like a good fix for the long walk to London would be to just give the player just enough money to take the taxi to London, as well as a bit of dialogue from the NPC that sends you that way with something like "here is some money for the trip to London the cart is outside" This would tell the player that there are taxis in the first place and give them an incentive to beat up the enemies now that they know their is a way to shorten the trips to each location.

the solution to the Bruford problem is to just make all of the main bosses like Dio and Bruford into trials. That way you don't have to wait for them to respawn and you don't have to worry about level 100s killing them
13:45 - 14:30 i find that this often happens when r15 developers use a collision check on a part of the players body (e.g. hand, foot) instead of an actual hitbox, this is also worse the laggier you are as you can have body parts go through enemies without a collision. easiest thing to counter this problem is just to position your player so that your hand always collides with enemies depending on the animation your player is about to do (e.g. rotate right for the second m1, walk into the enemy for your last m1). if this is not the case, then it is probably just poor scripting or some other problem that they have done trying to experiment
They should add npcs to fight and side quest npcs along the way, so you can 1: Farm npcs and level up easily 2: not get bored 3: meet new area level reccomendations 4: get arrows, rokas, etc from sidequests of random NPCS This would add content for all players, make leveling sorta easier because you'd get bored and fight npcs anyway and also keep you from getting bored out of the game.
I totally agree with you, Eclispe. Especially at the level gating part. Infact, I got into RIU once, but then I slowly, mentally DIED because of the absolute GRIND in Part 1. That alone made me LEAVE, because of the absolute INSANITY it was grinding Bruford. The first quest that made you need money, and the storyline recommending you have Hamon, but then Hamon costing 2K literally made me go insane. I literally had to grind for over an HOUR because half of the NPC's in London were dead, so there wasn't really any good way to get money. Whenever I defeated Dio and realized that despite how hard he was, I literally had to GRIND him to move onto Vento Aureo, I got so pissed off at the game that I just QUIT entirely. I didn't touch it again until the C-Moon update, and I ONLY, literally the ONLY reason that I ever touched it again was literally because of: -YBA's current state, which is kinda in a weird position -AUT's content drought, basically the reasons you listed. So far, besides all the janky invisible walls and stuff, I kind of enjoyed RIU from Vento Aureo onwards, and I am glad that the developers are actually taking your criticism and trying to improve the game based off of that, so it can be fun for everyone. At least they care about the game. Now, let's go back to the level gating... So, with what you said about "the people who actually know what they're doing being able to go ahead" stuff, I totally agree, and to back that up, I just wanna pop in a little comparison. RIU compared to Pokemon Leaf Green. Both are games that I have played, so I can literally confirm that what I am saying is true. and if I can't confirm something, I will use a cited source. RIU goes like "ah nope you can't do this, you gotta be this level, go kill some nonexistent thugs." While at a certain point in the game, which would be Vermillion City, Leaf Green doesn't MAKE you farm wild Pokemon except maybe a little bit in the beginning if you picked, like, Charmander, but the early Trainers didn't give that much EXP anyway. It literally makes you ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING besides walking down back alleys constantly checking for NPCs to level your team up. There's a woman in the Vermillion City Pokemon Center that gives you an item called the VS Seeker, literally explains how it works with just a couple lines of dialogue, and the player is now free to use it in the wild. How the VS Seeker works is, basically, let's just say you're under-leveled for a Gym. You picked Charmander, it's a Charmeleon, and you need more levels, but your Charmeleon is the highest level, but cannot solo because it doesn't have a type advantage and the only move that does neutral damage has low power. You have battled all of the trainers you can. With the VS Seeker, you can literally REBATTLE THEM for more EXP instead of constant wild Pokemon. This is the beginner route. You go out onto the past routes you have been and use the VS Seeker to rebattle them a few times, then you beat the Gym, and it's not BUSTED, but it's useful, because you can't battle the same trainers over and over because you need to charge the VS Seeker by either running in circles or actually doing other stuff that requires walking, and you can't battle the same trainers rapidly even if you did charge it because if you use it, battle them, and use it again, there would be a blue X indicating that they're not yet ready to battle yet. The people who actually know what they're doing AREN'T LIMITED. They just need to have a good plan and strat to beat the Gym Leader, with a proper moveset for their Pokemon. Now, the beginner route can be used throughout the entire game, with them doing the gyms in order at their own pace. The pro route however, which I accidentally took, but I decided to stay on, is where you are literally ALLOWED TO SKIP SOME OF THE GYMS AND DO THE LATER ONES FIRST USING ACTUAL STRATEGY TO LEVEL YOURSELF UP, AND THEN GO THROUGH THE PREVIOUS ONES WHEN YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO IN ORDER TO GET TO THE ELITE FOUR. The only time you're blocked from the gym is literally either one little puzzle, or, like, a side quest related to the actual story that isn't boring as hell, or it's for Pewter City/Cerulean City, both of which a pro could literally SPEEDRUN. Let's consider the fact that Pokemon LG is literally from 2004, and it was like THIS. Now, let's take a look at RIU, where, let's see... You gotta grind thugs for several minutes, pay money, and if you're a beginner and you want Hamon, do it again.... go fight Bruford and get absolutely carried... Waste your life doing Bruford several more times, with no fun at all and a 3 minute respawn timer... go fight Dio, a much harder boss, and then grind him several times and lose your sanity entirely Oh my lord, and this is for PART ONE? And only THEN can you go to Vento Aureo. Here's how it should be. Imagine we're in your world where Hamon is free. an experienced player saves their skill points early on in the game, and then when they get Hamon, they get the moves and breathing upgrades, maybe a node or two of vitality and toughness, and with their skill, take down Bruford and move onto Dio and defeat him, even though they were low level, because they were skilled. The beginners might find it a little hard, but they could either team up with another low-level player, or they could level up a bit, upgrade their vitality and toughness, and move on.
actually i think it would be cool to have a dungeon based on the ship jonathan and erina was on, it's on fire and overran by zombies you get some good EXP there and you get to have a cool moment with jonathan asking you to leave with erina
My theory for you having to wait for the boss to respawn is that they want more visits hyping their game and stats so you are given the choice of rejoining a new server, or wait 2-3m for them to respawn.
Today i started playing it, a part of me love this game because of cool looking gameplay and fighting, but i also hate the fact that you literally can't find any new players because they quit after seconds. There is also the arrow thing, that is cool you can't get anything so easily and you have an actual challange. But i literally whasted arrows and cash because my 30% wasn't enough. And the leveling up, its very annoying to either farm 10 zombie quest or Bruford that spawns once in a year. But honestly, it has its flaws, but it also has some goods in it.
I also feel like if people are going to use the “canon” excuse, then stands shouldn’t be allowed in Phantom Blood, period. You can’t pick and choose what part of the canon you’ll listen to.
You can also get vamp from masks spawning on the ground witch was way more ez to do than getting hamon but the game never tells you about that so no new player would know
I like Roblox Unbreakable it felt like a breathe of fresh air atleast for me but I do agree with all the problems you've stated, Personally I felt like Phantom Blood was unfinished if anything. My suggestion would be to add a Tarkus Boss Fight before going to Dio's Castle, and secondly I think Dio's castle should be a dungeon full of Vampires/Zombies to fight as well as loot drops, I think it would also be cool if they added a Jack the Ripper Boss fight in London or something, just to give more variety.
I'd rather not just get hamon for free, rather i'd like a quest to complete or something else engaging, like fighting jack the ripper just like how johnathan discovered how to fight with hamon.
I think gpo, another game, shares some problems like this. It's a shame that there are so few people holding these games up to the standards of real/non-roblox games.
for whatever reason, i am completely unable to shiftlock or control lock in this game with my all-in-one pc, which is effectively my only fast “computer”
the problem in the game is it teaches you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, nothing, not a single thing is taught, a new player will never ever EVER understand something as simple as breathing
when me and my friend played this game when it first came out (noone really camped bruford and such) we got to the dio quest and grinded it till lvl 40. with no double exp. wtf was wrong with us
I've always thought a Jojo game would be mote fun either less random and grinding, the parts idea is cool as well, I think there could be a legacy mode and main game, the main game could be any location in Jojo, but not morioh or anywhere in Italy because those locations are overused, the legacy mode would be mino fights that follow the story of Jojo, you start with fighting dio as Jonathan when they were kids, then move on through part one, then onto part two where you start by fighting straizo, and it just works like that with little rewards like money, arrows, locacaca and other stuff, I also think that if you could somewhat choose what stand you get that would be better, so certain stands would be grouped in different ways based on their parts, so you can narrow down the chances of a stand you get, foe example if you were hinting for the world, you could select stands for part 3 and this gives you a higher chance to get the world, I also think a menu that shows you what the stand can do as well as passive the stand may have and ranking it tier list style, F for stands like tower of gray and emperor, but s for stands like the world, star platinum, white snake ss for evolution stands like c moon or tusk act 2 and 3, and sss for evolution stands like tusk act 4, twoh, spoh, mih, things like that.i jsuy think these could factor into an ideal Jojo game, or they might just be too complicated.
Man, i've always thinked of a Demon Slayer game, where you're at first person, following the storyline, like if you were tanjiro, and for using moves, you could like do a quick time event, then aiming for the head, then clicking fast, so you cut the Demon's head off, while you follow the manga's history, learning your breathing. Then, for more content, they could add more chacters storylines, like you could end up as Tomioka, for example.
I feel like making any stands F tier is a bad idea. Some stands of course will end up having an edge just because of how impossible it is to perfectly balance things but they should all have some utility. Otherwise there's no purpose for them to exist other than a reason to reroll. It would be better to have a variety of stands with different strengths and weaknesses so that all of the stands have a purpose and can be fun to play. Then, getting a random stand isn't a case of "oh man I didn't get the world," but instead an opportunity to try a different playstyle, encouraging players to make use of things they wouldn't otherwise
Eclipse the cloen npc is gonna now give you a quest that forces you to go to another eclipse the clown npc that is at the most remote corner on the map and is locked behind an invisible wall aswell

It would be great if in the starting hamon would be free but after talking to the npc agian we can get better hamon so the free hamon would be weaker best of both worlds
It's disappointing to me how RIU's early game suffers from lack of direction and failure to captivate the player, which is something even in theory basic english homework can do. (What I mean is in essays you need a hook to capture the audience, and in most cases, it does seem to work depending on how well you write it)
I actually accidentally skipped Hamon because i stopped playing right in the $2000 Hamon quest, and a few weeks later, i came back and forgot about Hamon and went all the way to Dio's castle without it, now i came back to Zepelli and i have to grind levels to up my Hamon skill tree

Yea nah, I tried filing for a suggestion about the problem of only fighting against lvl 100 try hards in PvP and would’ve liked them to improve their rank system. All they said was nah get good like 💀
This is part of the reason I stopped playing Jojo games on Roblox. All of them are super tedious to progress and there is not a lot to do after you maxed out besides farm for new stands or shinies. It doesn't help that these games don't tell you how to play the game and making progression confusing, tedious, or both.
I played the game for a while, i finished phantom blood and almost all of golden wind without a stand, not because i was good, just because i didnt knew that you could get an arrow to get a stand.
The hits randomly missing is most likely due to the game using the Roblox .Touched function for hitboxes. I haven't played RIU, so this is just speculation, but the Roblox .Touched function sucks. Basically it can only detect a new touch, so if you create the hitbox and it's already in the enemy, Roblox just won't count it. The reason this is used at all is because all other methods are quite complex.
So you're saying that to fix this game the developers need to remove level gates, tell players ways to get money in the early game (in the Speedwagon quest), reduce the cost of learning Hamon, make Blueford have a lower spawning time, give players a 100% guaranteed stand by an arrow regardless of the success rate, make the part 5 have less walking more experience, make the spawn chance of Pluck higher and make the player who killed Blueford have the privilege to get pluck without other player taking it. And I'll add something that also needs to be changed to add PvP off mode to do your skilltree without people killing you for no reason or NPCs trying to attack you or get alarmed

the solution to the Bruford problem is to just make all of the main bosses like Dio and Bruford into trials. That way you don't have to wait for them to respawn and you don't have to worry about level 100s killing them
13:45 - 14:30
i find that this often happens when r15 developers use a collision check on a part of the players body (e.g. hand, foot) instead of an actual hitbox, this is also worse the laggier you are as you can have body parts go through enemies without a collision. easiest thing to counter this problem is just to position your player so that your hand always collides with enemies depending on the animation your player is about to do (e.g. rotate right for the second m1, walk into the enemy for your last m1).
if this is not the case, then it is probably just poor scripting or some other problem that they have done trying to experiment
They should add npcs to fight and side quest npcs along the way, so you can
1: Farm npcs and level up easily
2: not get bored
3: meet new area level reccomendations
4: get arrows, rokas, etc from sidequests of random NPCS
This would add content for all players, make leveling sorta easier because you'd get bored and fight npcs anyway and also keep you from getting bored out of the game.
I feel like you just described what world of stands did
@@libuseviskova5006 world of stands used to be fun tbh
Its crazy how they say roblox is unbreakable, yet they dont even have the part that their title is based off of.
I didn't touch it again until the C-Moon update, and I ONLY, literally the ONLY reason that I ever touched it again was literally because of:
-YBA's current state, which is kinda in a weird position
-AUT's content drought, basically the reasons you listed.

Fix for after Dio: a post dead dio place where there are multiple npc killing quests. There is a fast travel option to get there.

you get some good EXP there and you get to have a cool moment with jonathan asking you to leave with erina

19:40 STANDING HERE I REALIZED I'M DOING NOTHING WITH MY LIFE
Bro is 25
About the spec thing, you can find a vampire mask on the ground, I got Lucky in London
What goods tho
Once a year?
I also feel like if people are going to use the “canon” excuse, then stands shouldn’t be allowed in Phantom Blood, period. You can’t pick and choose what part of the canon you’ll listen to.
You can also get vamp from masks spawning on the ground witch was way more ez to do than getting hamon but the game never tells you about that so no new player would know
I like Roblox Unbreakable it felt like a breathe of fresh air atleast for me but I do agree with all the problems you've stated, Personally I felt like Phantom Blood was unfinished if anything. My suggestion would be to add a Tarkus Boss Fight before going to Dio's Castle, and secondly I think Dio's castle should be a dungeon full of Vampires/Zombies to fight as well as loot drops, I think it would also be cool if they added a Jack the Ripper Boss fight in London or something, just to give more variety.
they are gonna add Eclipse the jester next bruh (would be an alternate version of him but in devil's palm)
I tried to play it and one of the first quests I had to do was get tons of money for an npc after walking a few miles. I quit it instantly
I'd rather not just get hamon for free, rather i'd like a quest to complete or something else engaging, like fighting jack the ripper just like how johnathan discovered how to fight with hamon.
They should add an eclipse boss
on of his moves or passives would be he nerfs different aspects of stands by criticizing them
I think gpo, another game, shares some problems like this. It's a shame that there are so few people holding these games up to the standards of real/non-roblox games.
for whatever reason, i am completely unable to shiftlock or control lock in this game with my all-in-one pc, which is effectively my only fast “computer”
Bro really folded the entire part 5 story with a normal sword
5:05 anyone knows the name of this song? Its familiar somehow
the problem in the game is it teaches you ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, nothing, not a single thing is taught, a new player will never ever EVER understand something as simple as breathing
when me and my friend played this game when it first came out (noone really camped bruford and such) we got to the dio quest and grinded it till lvl 40. with no double exp. wtf was wrong with us
I've always thought a Jojo game would be mote fun either less random and grinding, the parts idea is cool as well, I think there could be a legacy mode and main game, the main game could be any location in Jojo, but not morioh or anywhere in Italy because those locations are overused, the legacy mode would be mino fights that follow the story of Jojo, you start with fighting dio as Jonathan when they were kids, then move on through part one, then onto part two where you start by fighting straizo, and it just works like that with little rewards like money, arrows, locacaca and other stuff, I also think that if you could somewhat choose what stand you get that would be better, so certain stands would be grouped in different ways based on their parts, so you can narrow down the chances of a stand you get, foe example if you were hinting for the world, you could select stands for part 3 and this gives you a higher chance to get the world, I also think a menu that shows you what the stand can do as well as passive the stand may have and ranking it tier list style, F for stands like tower of gray and emperor, but s for stands like the world, star platinum, white snake ss for evolution stands like c moon or tusk act 2 and 3, and sss for evolution stands like tusk act 4, twoh, spoh, mih, things like that.i jsuy think these could factor into an ideal Jojo game, or they might just be too complicated.
Not only did u wrote an essay
U made it make 100% sense
Man, i've always thinked of a Demon Slayer game, where you're at first person, following the storyline, like if you were tanjiro, and for using moves, you could like do a quick time event, then aiming for the head, then clicking fast, so you cut the Demon's head off, while you follow the manga's history, learning your breathing. Then, for more content, they could add more chacters storylines, like you could end up as Tomioka, for example.
I AINT READIN ALLAT BUT WE UP🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Still not a fan of luck based stand drops, even with boosted chances
I feel like making any stands F tier is a bad idea. Some stands of course will end up having an edge just because of how impossible it is to perfectly balance things but they should all have some utility. Otherwise there's no purpose for them to exist other than a reason to reroll. It would be better to have a variety of stands with different strengths and weaknesses so that all of the stands have a purpose and can be fun to play. Then, getting a random stand isn't a case of "oh man I didn't get the world," but instead an opportunity to try a different playstyle, encouraging players to make use of things they wouldn't otherwise
Man I loved watching you and your friends play Trident Survival but it sucks that it didn't get so many views
Eclipse the cloen npc is gonna now give you a quest that forces you to go to another eclipse the clown npc that is at the most remote corner on the map and is locked behind an invisible wall aswell
When i started playing i chose the option of buying a arrow and getting CD first time (arrows only costed 2k when i started playing)
Fun fact: I quited this game when i got to London.. I didn't know what to do there like you said but now I might rethink this decision If they fix this
It would be great if in the starting hamon would be free but after talking to the npc agian we can get better hamon so the free hamon would be weaker best of both worlds
i just ignored zeppeli trying to extort me and went through part 1 as a vampire using a mask i found on the ground lmao
It's disappointing to me how RIU's early game suffers from lack of direction and failure to captivate the player, which is something even in theory basic english homework can do. (What I mean is in essays you need a hook to capture the audience, and in most cases, it does seem to work depending on how well you write it)
Solid facts. I got to Bluford, killed him twice, then called it quits. :/
There is one other global drop I believe and it's also in phantom blood, Dio has a chance to global drop a stone mask I believe
Funny how every eclipe RIU vid starts with an apology in advance
I actually accidentally skipped Hamon because i stopped playing right in the $2000 Hamon quest, and a few weeks later, i came back and forgot about Hamon and went all the way to Dio's castle without it, now i came back to Zepelli and i have to grind levels to up my Hamon skill tree
I had to spam the chat asking how to activate my hamon moves for 30 minutes because either I’m stupid or it wasn’t obvious enough
Eclipse, play deepwoken, maybe with someone experienced or a friend, its a good game, 400 robux well spent, one of the best PvP & PvE, it is permadeath tho, so if you die (3 lifes, can get they back), you restart everything, but it's good, i promise.
Once the level locks are gone I'll probably pick RIU back up
Bruh RUclips gave me no notification for this video even though I have it set to all. Eclipse keep pushing. If RUclips don’t likes it that means it good content
I hope that one day he will decid to make a roblox JoJo game.
Btw if you ever have those blue lines in the start of the video you cant click anything but only arrow keys just press \ itll be fixed
3:20 in the past jonatan gave u money to fast travel to London and have 100 remaining
I think bruford is bad bc there are 5 other vampires attacking u while ur fighting him
Thanks eclipse for another criticism riu video, I hope devs will hear you once again and fix and change some stuff
Eclipses free rent payment is here. Really enjoyed the subnautica review. Wish you could do more of those.
I like watching Eclipse be purplexed that there's an invisible wall at 8:00
The riu devs could make hamon free the first time you talk to zeppeli
Being honest, for most people I've seen in the game as of recently, it's only when they get around to beating Giorno that it feels like the game is picking up and not as grindy.
Eclipse should play ultra kill

14:30 Everytime I hear this music I get PTSD flashbacks
Is no one gonna talk about how he beat the entire story with pluck only?
We need to all start saying stupid things,
so eclipse can make a ddos video and make more money,
and keep making yt videos.

Ig world of stands has a lot of potential😅
I played the game for a while, i finished phantom blood and almost all of golden wind without a stand, not because i was good, just because i didnt knew that you could get an arrow to get a stand.
The hits randomly missing is most likely due to the game using the Roblox .Touched function for hitboxes. I haven't played RIU, so this is just speculation, but the Roblox .Touched function sucks. Basically it can only detect a new touch, so if you create the hitbox and it's already in the enemy, Roblox just won't count it. The reason this is used at all is because all other methods are quite complex.
Cover a video using Xbox controls... It's on Xbox but can't even put in skill points
same 😂
You can also fight zeppelli and Jojo to get the sword, and I got it first try.
It's a time rip gate in London.
Aside from roblox jojo content i am really enjoying the videos you make Eclipse. I would really like to see you play Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance ofc because, why not. The game is cool. And i think we'll get a few laughs from it as well. And maybe potentially when you've played enough of the game you can make a review on the game. I would really like to see that since i'm an advecate enjoyer of the Metal gear series. Thank you for this video since it helps me think on how i need to develop my own games in the future since i'm a college student trying to make games. I hope you've read this and sorry if it dragged on. Have a good day/night.
I honestly don't think that the new player experience is bad, i rlly didn't mind that i couldnt do sbr till a couple days in, neither did i care to run from london to mansion, i never cared, i think it was rlly fun for me as a new player
I quit at the first zombie quest💀

Kur makes a game, people complain, he shuts down for a year and reworks it from scratch. People still complain, Kur goes to rework the whole damn game again. I mean, the guy is trying at the very least.
I never saw much complaints about old aut, the new aut is good just for pvp stuff in old game there were more chill people i saw less * rkers * and getting good stands actually felt like an achievement now the good stuff is just skins.
