- Style Showdown has some good features to it for sure, but overall it just seems like there's no real reason to pick playing this over anything else similar on the platform.

Devs trying to not beg Eclispe to play their game to prove its not bad even though it barely works and doesnt even have basic combat mechanics and has repetitive quests (impossible challenge)

The problem with this game's creator is that he doesn't usually make it to the big leagues of games. He had some luck a while ago with a game called "One More Time" (which also had a remake I believe), but that eventually fell short. He made a deal with Crusaders Heaven devs before (hence their Crusaders Heaven 2). The guy has got major potential but he could never get his games to be popular enough, and as someone that has played all of his games a few times in the past as well as seen the journey - it's quite sad.

@@IrisBread yeah every jojo game hes either run out of motivation for or it just died. he did a yakuza-ish sandbox kiryu game once with his own take of aut standless (which was kiryu inspired) which not only eventually became this but just ended up dying hard not even after like, two days.
More jojo games have been popping up lately, and they're either really horrible or they realised they're done for and they put in a bunch of non-jojo stuff.

It’s because they’re on fire. The fire does DOT (damage over time) and it’s marked by the player who applied it. That’s why the exclamation mark plays but nothing happens - aggro is drawn to you but immediately replaced to the person who applied the burn because they damaged the npc last.
Makes sense to me, but does it happen in yba? I don't see it happen

The first time i played YBA I was extremely confused because i didn't know sewers were a thing until i accidentally fell into one

hey eclipse! I just finished running through the game, and they’ve improved a bunch of stuff you’ve recommended. for example, they identified EXACTLY where the sewers is, and on my walkthrough of the game the first time I got the key quest, I fought the Jonathan boss like you did, it was just coincidence for you. I did the Jonathan boss and I didn’t get it, even after checking my quest. but the combat is actually fun, it’s just hard to find opponents. the player count boosted from the average 10-20 too lol (disclaimer, I played the game just to test all the points he pointed out, and they fixed most of them)
they made the game WAY worse now like basically unplayable, the 2nd npcs u fight r the vampires and now they can barrage at any point, they r in a m1 combo they can barrage out of it, stunned on the ground, barrage, then they m1 and combo into blood suck and there is half ur hp gone and they r back to full. so u literally cannot m1 fight any npc other than thugs. so u spam abilities that do no damage since all npcs seem to of gotten health boosts and u run away. suck terrible combat. and they added bunch of terrible fruits. i got 6 pistols and can't even use it, it just doesn't do anything lol. game has 0 players and I can see y
Love eclipse game reviews cause it feels real, not some fake impression of the game but an actual human with real thoughts about it.
The part with the key was purely unlucky and lucky at the same time, they didnt mention it in the quest but the drop is random from every npc.

I played this game for myself, and despite the MASSIVE amounts of rng its PvP is rly fun and my friends and I had a blast
You can prestige to get more levels and different specs are found in different ways
at 3:52 honestly feels like a stretch like it is common knowledge to like every game with a sewer like mad city or prison life (same goes for main page games so the likelihood of this happening is severely low unless you for some reason somehow found this game and decided to play it as your first action game and if you somehow came across this without playing yba)
a good idea for quests that isn’t “kill this guy [amount] times” is a “rescue this guy to this area” by having the quest giver next to someone, you need to click them and they will follow you, you need to take them to a designated area and while doing this, enemies will be more hostile and maybe do more damage(?) but will go for the person you’re trying to take to designated area and they will have their own amount of health, you need to prevent them from dying by attacking the enemies (they will go hostile for you if you do, sometimes) and if they die they get sent back to said quest giver and you need to try the quest again until you’re able to take the person to the area, then they could maybe become a quest giver after you do the rescue quest and stay there as part of your save data
(this idea was mostly based on the mario + rabbids kingdom thing game on switch and the toad rescue thing)

I saw that with the whole problem with agro when you fought champion boxer was most likely due to the guy with the fire powers burning him making his agro stay on him and only him until you hit him without the burn (Edit: this is my assumption as in GPO it does the same thing)

I would say the name of the game also keeps it in the dark relatively because it doesn't pop up often or people who go for mainly anime games don't bother to play it

@Riki sadly something “original” does not receive good player counts nowadays. take example a normal game compared to blox fruits, bandit beaters appeal to the widest audience on roblox besides roleplayers.

This game looks ok but I did notice a lot of stuff that are stolen from other games like some of the cutscenes or ui, over all looks ok if they balance out some skills and make the story a bit more interesting/engaging the this game could do fairly well.

Problem with games like this is they are all the same, just grind items abd style and m1, not much thought into combat its just who has better stats.
@@DoctorBones1 have you perhaps even played the game? I put a lot of thought into the combat, IMO the only really poorly designed stuff combat wise are things like Vegeta but that’s because a friend came up with the moveset and stuff.

As someone who was in the game with you at the time, the game is confusing, and its not very good. Most of the specs aren't very good, and some are really good, Vegeta has a move that softlocks you. The main storyline quests are very confusing, I wandered around for 10 minutes looking for the vampires, and then finally went into the sewers, and then I spent 20 minutes getting the key. THEN, you go talk to Jonathon on the cliff, and then I went to kill the boxer, killed Dio, then left because the storyline is over and there is literally nothing to do and it doesn't tell you anything else you can do. Overall, a very flawed game, also the "Skill Tree" is incredibly shallow and only an excuse to say they HAVE a skill tree.
Have been playing for a while. I kinda love to kill time in this game everynow and then.

i would recommend u to play yba:nu, its clearly better than yba but well it dont have a 1v1 move that u can waste ur life on. only sbr thats is so easy somehow 16 people fight eachother and u being the only one alive somehow.

Eclipse the sewer talk about how some people won't realize you can pass through a solid object kind of washed over me, those are the old yba sewers nearly exactly, I do not see why they would copy it, those sewers were very boring and also had entire trashbags in them for some reason (trash goes to the dump not the fuckin sewer)

nowdays roblox anime games are mostly just killing npcs and grinding. which is sad, there is so much more that can be done on roblox and about those anime.
altough, i do not have ideas myself about what games we could make, sadly.
i think i have some ideas
1. make pve enjoyable rather than a five million year grind, and if it is gonna be a grind atleast make repeating the same fight over and over still able to be enjoyed, much like fromsoft bosses.
2. have an interesting story.
3. stop forcing pvp, i'm sure a ton of people would appreciate not being blown up by a maxxed out no-life once they leave the tutorial
4. don't gate the good content off until the endgame, this is a thing many of these games seem to do. they reward the players who have stuck through until the endgame with a good experience, rather than having an enjoyable experience all the way through, even at the very beginning.
5. back to the topic of grind; make grinding fun. dont just entice the players with incredibly rare items, make them WANT to come back to whatever it is for whatever reasons. maybe the enemy has a cool moveset that's fun to learn, maybe the area is incredibly unique and fun to explore, maybe it's different each time you visit it, ect. just don't make it artificial.
6. have good combat. don't just make it damage trading and stunlock simulator, take some notes from character action games and arpg's like Devil May Cry and Bloodborne. hell, just add a grappling hook. those are fun.
7. keep balance in mind. think of how strong or weak a player may be if they enter an area. if they're meant to be a certain level, make said enemies there balanced around said level. don't go overboard and make them absolute damage sponges, but also don't make them snap like a twig. also, don't inflate the numbers too high on boss enemies. it becomes boring just spamming m1 against them over and over and over and over and over and over and over and o-
8. make the world feel alive and connected. most of these anime games' worlds feel very video-gamey. maybe it's meant to be the players who are meant to fill up the world making it lively, but say there weren't any players. say you're in a private server, alone, walking to your next grind... and then you arrive. you encountered nothing, nothing of interest happened. you simply walked from A to B. but, what if something of note did happen? like an ambush, or a merchant? hell, just, anything, for that matter? wouldn't that be exciting? and on the connected part, have multiple ways to get from A to B. making it incredibly linear is definitely not the way to go. you should be able to get to B through different ways than just A. you could get to B from C, if you pass through D you could get a key to open up a door in E that leads back to B which also has another door that leads back around to A through a different path than the normal one. having interconnectivity helps make the world feel less video-gamey.
9. have a reason to keep playing. make it impossible to experience everything in a single playthrough, though not through artificial means. have a proper reason as to why players might continue playing or replaying. the souls games are pretty decent at this, with build variety and interesting boss fights. hell, ultrakill and pizza tower do this even better through the ranking system, and they're not even slightly similar to dark souls, and even LESS similar to these games.
10. quests. don't overly rely on 'kill X enemy' or 'find X item' quests. you can use them, but don't go overboard. use them like once or twice throughout the main story, and don't make them too long. killing 500 boarwolves made me reconsider my life choices despite not even being an adult yet... anyways! yeah, don't rely on spamming kill or fetch quests to pad out runtime. make interesting quests and questlines, like the ones in dark... souls... i need to stop bringing up dark souls...
11. listen to the community. take feedback. but also, don't listen TOO much to the community. they can sometimes have the worst of ideas to ever exist.

Who wouldn't just try to go on a manhole expecting a prompt to open the hole.
Even more extreme is expect someone to not even touch the thing and go "aw shucks, guess I can't open this one", that's taking handholding to a extreme

Soooo..Basically what's wrong is that the game is too much of a bandit beater...and it resembled YBA too much..Glove Model..Sewers.. Then some of the styles like Mera Mera looks exactly like Uzu showcased it so basically because it has barely any originality and is too much of a bandit beater.
Then its too short without much replayability or much to do after the storyline.

We have not stolen any assets, the Old Pluck animations are YBA’s but I asked uzu ahead of time to use them as I am a YBA Admin. Mera’s assets were made by the same dev who made YBA’s mera rework that is why that is similar.
