Not only that, but you're also allowed to acknowledge all the flaws of the game, say "I don't care though" and keep playing. Long grinds can also be acceptable if the "grind loop" is actually interesting, but almost no game actually does this and instead goes for the cheap "click resource" or "click bad guy" approach
yeah like Blox Fruits have one hell of a grind just to get to lvl max, but you have so many places to go, that grinding only turns out boring after 2 sea

Can’t help but agree. You could get crazy diamond which is kinda hard to get and get the rarest boss drop but just because it has a bad attribute it’s worthless. Not to mention anyone else who grinded more than you can clap you instantly, steal your boss, or just troll you.
i remember seeing koichi after grinding thugs for an hour and having the realization hit me that i just spent an hour of my day beating thugs because i didnt realize there was another quest npc across the map

We need a Project Jojo revamp to bring back the great farming system, literally hundreds of viable stands for pvp, etc. Making a stand that could one shot people still had its own downsides that could be exploited by other players like the infamous Kiss Platinum over heaven. Sure you had range and massive damage but a GER could still RTZ you, Mr. President fusions can laugh off your attack, etc. With the right stand setups you could even bypass grinding all together by AFK killing bosses, get to max level in 30 minutes, and even farm millions in one night. Letting you get back to stand experimentation without being stopped

despite the game being horrible, it brings back at ton of memories of me and my friends just running around and using arrows hoping to get an absurdly op stand with a high tier trait, back then that was extremely fun for me so playing it brings back alot of nostalgia, but now i barely find it fun because me and my friends have moved on from jojo games

I've played stand upright ever since it came out. And I don't even know how long it took me to get to max level in that game. besides that all I did when I was somewhat high level I literally just trolled people or killed them easily without them even knowing who killed them. You could be arrow farming and all of a sudden get pulled to the edge of the map by a the hand req and die immediately, which is exactly what I did. Pretty much the only thing left to do when ur high level and have a good stand is bully people. And even when being an old player. I still refuse to play stand upright as I pretty much left it in the gutter since it was too easy to get killed instantly by someone using a trash stand but somehow doing tons of dmg per hit on barrage. congrats to the people still playing that cuz u must be suffering from how much grinding u gotta do.
I think a really interesting jojo game would be a game where you can choose quests from two paths and the bad path would make your fighting spirit more evil and visce versa so that the gameplay loop affects your stand chances
It's the nostalgia. I liked the old Stand Upright because me and my friend would just mess around finding the different bugs like using SCR's pilot outside the storage whilst being inside storage, making you invincible. I was never really grinding levels specifically in old SU or items but even then I don't remember it being too grindy (it was ages ago now though), but that was probably because I got a good trait SCROVA extremely early, so I never really had to grind.
I honestly agree with every point you mentioned in the video, when the game came back up I was so excited to play but when I did I didn't enjoy it even a tiny bit. I think the main reason is because two years before the game got shut down I was playing all day, grinding, farming, etc. but I don't have time for that anymore I have to study at least 8-10 hours a day and for someone like me that doesn't have much time to play games it's not easy to grind. I think nostalgia just blinded us from the flaws of this game. I hope they make it easier to gain levels and increase the chances for traits and stands.
I will say, attributes are good if they give a minor buff. Like something that is good to have, but you wouldn’t be losing much by not having it. Like 20% plus HP or +4 Damage. Maybe even make it completely separate from the item, so you can choose if you want an attribute or not. Wait this is a Roblox game called Stand Uprising, what am I thinking?
little combat rant: I think there should be a very clear difference in power between a new player and a max player, the max player should have moves that are far more flashy, can 1 shot any npc in the starter island or platform or whatever the starter area is, the max level player should also be able to tank hits easily that the new player loses half his health on. But I think one thing that can perfect the mindset of a new player thinking super highly of a max player, is either a level cap for fighting, or a lvl floor for pvp.A lvl cap for fighting is you have to be like, within 50 or so levels of eachother to damage each other, and a pvp lvl floor requires you be like level 20 to fight actual players. This is to prevent the max lvl player from mindlessly spawn camping all the newbies. This will drive a more respect and amazement mindset, then a hatred and fear aspect. if a new player sees 3 max levels spawn killing all the newbies, they will dspise max level players, and one common goal in adventure fighting games, is to be #1 on the leaderboard, the strongest. Now is being achieved for a different reason. Normally you go after #1 to be respected, and feared. Every new player somewhat aspires to be feared across the game. And for their mere existence to dictate the law. But now they want that #1 player title to keep everyone in check. Where one move could kill anyones chances of a peaceful experience. So that they can verye asily kill any max level players that attempt to kill newbies. Obviously killing max levels thatre farming noobs, is always a good thing to do. But when it's less about the newbies experience, and you're revenge. You kinda stop getting that hero title
I used to play to troll. I would get hierophant green requiem and just possess people because unlike regular hierophant green when you possess people with the requiem version you still control them after you die and from a farther range. You could also control npcs across the map so I could become Dio over heaven.
At first, I did think the game was “fun” and a distraction from playing YBA for hours, but then I got one shot by someone with a taco stand, I switched servers, and hot loop killed by a max level Kars. Very few stands have more skill nodes than just destructive power, but even so it gets wrecked by attributes. Also, can someone tell me why people flame Eclipse? I don’t understand what’s wrong.

4:09 Plus, you can spawn in a zone where all is 70+ lvl required and wasting 5 to 20 minutes (i'm bad at orientating) getting lost and not knowing where do you even start grinding nor the location of the next quest that you can do.
I feel like the ONLY game where they did attributes right as Project JoJo, and that game is OLD AS HELL. Even if you, let's say, get a trait that multiplies your base damage by 1.25x, your speed or health or sometimes even both get decreased to compensate. And the thing is: those damage increases are NEVER doubled, at worse they're 1.25x or slightly more. And even then, you can just body them if your Stand has a trait with really high HP. The best part was, if you don't like it, there's an actual *way* to reroll your trait without having to erase your Stand, which is FAR superior to SU.
Bro PJJ is boring as hell the farming for trait rerolls are through a boss that spawns every 1 hour or so with only A CHANCE to drop the item for the reroll (corpse part) the grinding i did for godly divine spinning cream experience requiem just for the requiem update to come out ;-;
I know stand upright was a pretty poorly made game, but that’s what made it great for me and my friends. We had so much fun running through town as a koichi posing GER used no cd dashes on a flying kazoo while my friend used the hand requiem to pull some random guy across the entire map. The glitches and bugs made the game hilarious.

My biggest gripe with this game is the fact that C-Moon’s face is just a default roblox smiley face, and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be a joke or a placeholder. But it really makes me not want to use it, and I don’t think it’s funny
Idk there are ways to cheese bosses like with hierophant green and pilot, and “skill tree” which buffs the stands damage and the players “skill tree” can give you more exp gain and other stuff. But that’s just me

I think the game is pretty good because I've had a lot of good memories with the original and this just brought those back. One thing that sucks is the attribute system. Currently above lvl 80 and just got one if the rarest stands, Jotaro's Star Platinum Over Heaven. But the attribute i got with it decreases the stand hp by 10% so yeah, it sucks. But other than that it's pretty fun to fight against same level players so I don't kill anyone with a single hit or get killed from 2. Edit: so people don't think I'm a hacker, you cannot obtain Jotaro's Star Platinum Over Heaven under lvl 100. I had a friend turn it into the over heaven version because you cannot even enter the area where you get the required item under lvl 90.
Attribute are making a rare stand (like star platinium over heaven and making it even harder to get at this point its chance in million to get it and only Real tryharder will do that

(DTW=0.1% , LEG=0.01%) While the normal arrows rarest stand obtained is currently Star Platinum Original Video Animation, has a pull rate of 1/500,000 (SP:OVA=0.05% LEG=0.01%) So no stands in the game that can possibly be pulled is

SU:R is a violently nostalgic game (like that hasn't been stated a million times). To some people (such as myself) it just reminds us of Old universe AUT and when ABD was fresh and new. The game is trash yes, but it feels great to wander around a map that reminds you so vividly of times that were so, so, so much better. honestly I do agree with you, but I also have to say that nostalgia? it's a hell of a drug.

hey eclipse wondering what your thoughts on pokemon seen as they have natures that effect stats and abilities that do different things and some pokemon have "hidden" abilities that are just out right better than their other abilities and are only obtainable through events most of the time
Anybody complaining that there's xp boosts in the character skill tree, do you know how long it takes to actually get that many skill points to get to those upgrades? It takes hours to max it out and you still dont even get that much more xp from it because by the time you fully max that out you're probably level 75 and still have to kill a boss 3 times to get one level, which still takes like 30mins if you aren't using a pilot stand because you have to worry about getting hit and the boss actually does damage.
@@Ungnomee one, what do you mean by finish, because there isn't really an end to this game? Two, a day is super long compared to other games, like yba. I could probably get to max lvl pres 3 in about 4-5 hours with one of the worse stands which is 1/4 of the time it takes to get to lvl 75 with an actually good stand (aka hg/hgr) and I think eclipse said this but it just isn't fun to grind. Yba makes it just a little fun while also keeping it short so you don't spend a whole day to get lvl 75-100 or in yba case pres 3 lvl 50 with unfightable npcs
The truth is, yes, people do really just wanna kill people in 1-2 hits, proof is that 90% of Project Jojo's fanbase left when they updated the game so it was actually balanced and you couldn't one shot people.

My only problem with the combat is hardly any stuns in m1s, that alone makes combos extremely difficult to pull off if you want that extra bit of damage.
@@mrepicdood9953 Honestly I find it pretty balanced. Most stands can diah out a lot of dmg and kill you quick, but you can very often avoid their big combos and do the same back. With little m1 stun, you're forced to take more risks and can more easily win even if you make mistakes.
I play it a tiny bit now, and i'm gonna be honest the only thing that keeps me there is that nostalgic early Roblox jojo feel that it and early/mid ABD had. If it weren't for that, i'd be long gone.

Original stand upright was lockdowned due to massive dupe problem, yet out of nowhere they said they will revamp the game completely which makes the lockdown continues for about 2 year with seemingly empty hope of coming back. SU:R offers the playerbase who still hold their memory to the game to enjoy the experience of nostalgia in this game for one last time as it is being one of the Stand Upright replica that was almost 100% identical to the original one

It's really just nostalgia for me. I grinded the hell out of og SU and I use to think it was the best Jojo game on roblox. I remember playing this game a long time ago, the reason why (at least I enjoy it) is that it’s a dumpster fire. The bugs and rng make the game feel fun and stupid. That’s the charm in it. And when the RNG pays it feels great. It’s not meant to be a story game, it’s supposed to be a fun stupid way to spend your time lol.
For the start of the game, I was spoon fed. The moment i joined, i was handed a WR godly, maybe not the best, but an ok grinding stand. A little later, around level 15, I was fed a silver charriot req - glass canon. I stop accepting hand outs, and actually attempted to grind a TW legendary in december. never got it in time to get festive tw, actually i never even got a tw legendary. and I got a burn out, BUT now LEGENDARY IS RARER, with 'hacker' in its place. I was spoon fed, but when i wanted to work, the game took the biggest shit on me
Its for nostalgia. Stand upright back in the day was really good, and now they're way better games. But the feeling of playing this again just feels nice

About the attributes, i personally like it, but, the way they implemented it sucks, by alot. They're unbalanced and perma, which is real bad. There should be an actual way to reroll attributes with in-game currencies.
I think that they should've made the attributes more like Project star where they don't really matter and without them you're still perfectly fine rather than if you have a really good attribute like Daemon then you one shot anyone

I think leveling up and rolling low chance stands can be pretty rewarding, especially when you start killing people in 2 hits and proceed to murder everybody and have a power trip. That being said, the grinding is still the worst I have ever seen and I wish they at least made the NPCs fun to fight

No JoJo game that I have ever played on roblox had "fun NPC's" they're all just there for the sake of progression, and being able to 1 shot people is terrible fuckin game design, it's actually so terrible that I don't even know why I'm having to explain it to someone

And when people say something about "good game design" in roblox I can't help but feel pity, which leads to laughing my ass off, which then leads me to explain what actual good game design is due to hundreds if not thousands of experiences with triple A titles, Fps's, Indie games and so on. And honestly, apart from young kids and people needing a playground to learn coding on LUA, I have no idea why people/content creators bother with Roblox when everything is such a cliché, rip offs, braindead simulators, half assed collection games, comparing Roblox Games to even some free games on Steam is like putting a toy hot wheels car next to a fuckin transformer irl

However, I do think Roblox does genuinely have some decent games that are just buried in a sea of awful, repetitive “simulators” and “tycoons” that are just brain dead clicker games made for 6 year olds that become addicted to getting more “pets” and will be willing to steal money to buy more overpriced lines of code. For instance, games like Entry Point are well made games with fun objectives and require you to think it out. However, that being said, it is very similar to other heist games, but it has its own mechanics and play style. I think most people playing Roblox either can’t afford better games or a better computer. If I could afford a better computer, I would probably never play Roblox.

Ok eclipse I got it, So I’ve been reading a few comments and I’ve come to the conclusion that people play it for the nostalgia and not really that seriously, people play it kind of as a joke just to have some fun with friends and don’t go into details about the crappy models, grind and combat system, I’m pretty sure when you get into a new game you play it seriously since you know pretty well what to say about a game that is poorly made, but the people playing it don’t really care about it and just do it to have some silly fun
The game isn’t supposed to be a grind-only game. You can have fun with your friends and help other players. Sure, the combat system is horrible, but it has its charm to it.

This game is a picture of back when these types of jojo games were amazing, and after spending years of playing YBA I can see why people dislike the game.. but remember, back when YBA wasn't a thing, these games were enjoyable and since YBA introduced m1 combo's and all that other stuff we saw flaws in these same games. I wanna say my experience with the og stand upright was quite unique. I got a legendary SC at level 9 when I tried getting a good stand to fight Giorno til level 10 (I had no idea I was supposed to fight him from level 5-9). After evolving it to SCR I had the time of my life. The fact that it was legendary was amazing. Random STWs trying to one shot me in time stop only to face the instant heal SCR had for some reason as well as its own arguably better version of TS were the highlights of my pvp experience. It made grinding super easy as it was able to pull any crowds of mobs together and one shot them with a legendary buffed barrage. SU was a shit game that's only fun by being not fun for the majority of players, I was just lucky enough to be on the side having fun with my legendary SCR and it's op moveset (especially since I had to do 0 stand farming)
I feel like this game is great to play not because of how good it is, but because of how bad it is. The bugs are fun to mess around with, and the overall look gives nostalgia. It is carried with nostalgia, coupled with the fact that people are getting tired of the games that we have right now (AUT, YBA, repetitive gameplay no end game). You could always hop onto Stand Upright with some friends and mess around with the game's shit physics and mechanics and you'd have a blast. Well that's what I remember most from my experience of Stand Upright. (Not a good game, bad because of horrible gameplay, good if you're bored and want to waste time, it's really shitty and goofy lmao.)
I agree, the fighting and leveling is really terrible HOWEVER, I play for the stand farming and trading with my friends. Also the nostalgia in a way makes me forget about how terrible the leveling/fighting is.
I agree with Eclipse but I still enjoy grinding arrows for low-chance stands (Kinda like Bubble Gum Simulator if anyone played that). Also, I find it funny being able to one-shot people with really good stands (but I am not willing to spend 50 hours to get it lol, I find it fun but using arrows for like a 1 percent chance for a good stand on top of a like 0.5 percent chance for a good attribute is dead). The PVP is garbage but it does make SOME sense that being able to one-shot people after spending 50 hours to get a good stand is a thing, however, it would be better off just making the chances far higher and removing any one-shot garbage. I fully agree with the NPCs and level grinding, but I can also see why some people (sweats) would find that fun. I have spent some time getting to a high level in this game (I got to around level 100), but the fact that I can still get one shot is just brain-dead, it kinda makes me think that leveling up is useless since you still get one shot, you might just be better off staying at around LVL 25 (so you can get some skill point upgrades) and just grinding for a good stand from there. (I know my comment contradicts itself as I said it is fun earlier, but it's only really fun if you're the one one-shotting, and it probably won't be fun for more than 10 minutes.....) TLDR: I agree with most of what Eclipse said, but some of the things that he said are bad (e.g attributes) gives you more stuff to do and adds to the gameplay.
I like the idea of attributes but almost every game that has them implements it wrong, I feel like if they're going to add attributes it shouldn't have attributes that are clearly just there to punish the player for rolling them and if there are at least a reroll system. I would like it if each attribute has a upside parred with a downside and some that go well with other stands while not in favor of another as that would allow some building just like specs, just like an arrow and roka there should be methods to obtain and erase attributes and if you don't have one it shouldn't punish you for it, it should just be like a balanced stand kind of like having no spec but a stand.
@@mrstarfish nature system makes one stat increase but in return, decreases another stat. Ex. One of them increases Atk but decreases Def It doesn't affect the pokemon THAT much which makes it pretty balanced

@@Rolsoes You got me on the first half not gonna lie, and I agree with you, the game doesn't have to have a super high-quality map, the chaotic and fun gameplay is what made su so good, the attributes were a unique thing that they implemented in the game, the grinding was sometimes boring but you got rewarded for it. Also, the memories of the original stand upright like messing around with your friends or finding funny glitches is one of the reasons people are playing the rebooted game. It's very nostalgic considering the fact that the game got shut down like 1 or 2 years ago and oh my god i wrote a whole paragraph
I agree, I never liked stand upright, but for me when I saw the "rebooted tag" I got happy. I then opened up the game and saw that... the game literally didn't change. I'm disappointed, I at least expected the game to have some changes.
What about the fact that ts stands have same problem as yba and the knife cooldown is reduced in ts so you can get spammed then roadrollered and die even if you have the highest health in the game cause highest ts is 12 seconds
I'm new to the roblox jojo game communities, and i gotta say that stands upright: rebooted is a lot of fun, especially with friends of a high level, that require other items, like charged arrows that newer players might find and not be able to use. While playing the other roblox jojo games i have found SU: R is the best game, i find it fun to try arrow farming to find a better stand and seeing all the different possibilities.

I have played Stand Upright from the moment it came out the first time. I cannot argue that the game is overall bad, because it is. I had most likely put around 400 hours into the game, finally obtaining the best stand in the game (to me) SPOVAOH Legendary. It was only after I obtained this and spent the next 15 mins going around 1 shoting people, that I realized I had done all of that work, all of those many many hours grinding, using arrows, trading, for 15 minutes of gratification. 400 hours of my life, exchanged for 15 minutes of minute happiness. I cant tell you why i thought it was fun to do this or to put that many hours into this game, or even how I still feel like I should defend this game, but I did all this, and still feel this way. Am I mentally okay? Probably not. Though I will tell you one thing, I regret my poor decision making. Eclipse may not see this, actually no one will most likely see this but...that's okay, I'm glad to get this off my chest
similar feeling as you but for a different reason and different games when abd was popular, i did everything i could to get rspoh (an unob you could get from trading) i spent so many weeks just server hopping and trading. after so much time wasted I finally got rspoh and i actually didnt regret it until of course they made it obtainable 2 weeks later. then they did a data reset which made me even feel worse. i got really hyped when aut came out. after the tier list was made, i was determined to get creeper queen (rarest unob). i was already motivated because i had a mid tier unobtainable before NU. basically did probably over 200 trades just to get creeper queen, and OF COURSE these moronic "tier list makers" decide to halve the value of creeper queen for no reason. never waste your time on a jojo game. could've used all that time to ACTUALLY do something i wouldnt regret, like.... literally anything else. i wasted so much time just to get a "rare roblox stand". even when i got what i wanted, i lost it anyway.
as a person who grinds on sur alot (im level 202) what i watched right now is literally true alot of people came onto this game because its too nostalgia i did play the original su game and its just boring to grind and have like the rarest stand and also when starting there's legit no tutorial when you start the game All games must have a tutorial so it makes the new players understand the game and yes the ridiculous stand chanced and attribute chances are cringe as fuck. It just makes you wanna grind more and more for a good attribute because I've seen people get Dio's The world (rarest stand) but its a none they literally just freak out over a none which I say they need to remove the attribute because that adds more pressure onto you to grind on the game leave for some time then grind back.
This is why I stopped playing jojo games. They’re all “get item” or “kill bad guys” for like 10 hours and it’s not even fun. It’s the same every time. And then all of a sudden there will be people with unbalanced op stands who can one shot people for no reason meanwhile the normal stands you get are dumb garbage

I really played the hell out of this game I didn't really mind the long grinding because I just turn off my brain and watch something else. I even have recordings of myself farming the stands so the reboot definitely hit me with a wave of nostalgia but unless they add something else new to the game I would probably quit in less that an week

I can agree that attributes suck, in Project Star I finally got The World, the rarest stand in the game, with it’s rarest skin (shadow the world) and it rolled weak And ruined it what could’ve been the ultimate flex to my friends. It hurt. I wasn’t even going for a skin I just wanted the stand.
I think attritubes are great, ONLY when you can choose them with downsides and upsides, with them all being fair and balanced, like sacrificing maybe like speed for health or something

One of my roblox friends joined the game a while ago, immediately got bored and told me he didn't like it. This proves how quickly the game becomes stale
It's probably nostalgia. And to be quite frank. one shotting people and making them mad was pretty funny. And some animations are quite cool + cool stand concepts. Though i will say looking at some of the more downside's this game was always kinda dead terrible and outright boring after 5 minutes. With great luck this game could be fun. That would require insane luck to get. This game has massive potential. The custom stand concept's to them also having a skill tree. If they decided to actually give this game some gamemode's fun factor's events and well a more user friendly method of playing the game this game could EASILY beat prime YBA.
I mainly play for nostalgia. I know, common excuse for liking the game. I can see why most people dislike it though. Bad combat system, trashy models, too grindy, etc. The game doesn’t really have a purpose in my opinion. You can choose to farm for decent stands to kill the big bad boss and whatnot. Or, which sounds more ideal to me, choose to play with friends that enjoy the game. Despite all of the flaws in the game, people still enjoy the game for what it is.
mainly because of the nostalgia... the jojo games before were not as good as jojo games right now so this was actually considered "good" because the bar was low before. and also it was in the era when abd was still up and running, old universe, literally all abd modded games so it just brings back all of those memories even though it has nothing to do with those games it still just feels... familiar
For me, its the simplicitiy of it. Sure its not cool getting 2 tapped by someone with SPOVA legendary trait, but the game itself is just simple. Friends for me make this game 20 times more fun so yeah. I think its the aspect of just being total goofballs in a game with such insane balancing that attracts me to it.

Long grinds can also be acceptable if the "grind loop" is actually interesting, but almost no game actually does this and instead goes for the cheap "click resource" or "click bad guy" approach

We need a Project Jojo revamp to bring back the great farming system, literally hundreds of viable stands for pvp, etc. Making a stand that could one shot people still had its own downsides that could be exploited by other players like the infamous Kiss Platinum over heaven. Sure you had range and massive damage but a GER could still RTZ you, Mr. President fusions can laugh off your attack, etc. With the right stand setups you could even bypass grinding all together by AFK killing bosses, get to max level in 30 minutes, and even farm millions in one night. Letting you get back to stand experimentation without being stopped

I've played stand upright ever since it came out. And I don't even know how long it took me to get to max level in that game. besides that all I did when I was somewhat high level I literally just trolled people or killed them easily without them even knowing who killed them. You could be arrow farming and all of a sudden get pulled to the edge of the map by a the hand req and die immediately,
which is exactly what I did. Pretty much the only thing left to do when ur high level and have a good stand is bully people. And even when being an old player. I still refuse to play stand upright as I pretty much left it in the gutter since it was too easy to get killed instantly by someone using a trash stand but somehow doing tons of dmg per hit on barrage.

I think a really interesting jojo game would be a game where you can choose quests from two paths and the bad path would make your fighting spirit more evil and visce versa so that the gameplay loop affects your stand chances

It's the nostalgia. I liked the old Stand Upright because me and my friend would just mess around finding the different bugs like using SCR's pilot outside the storage whilst being inside storage, making you invincible. I was never really grinding levels specifically in old SU or items but even then I don't remember it being too grindy (it was ages ago now though), but that was probably because I got a good trait SCROVA extremely early, so I never really had to grind.

I honestly agree with every point you mentioned in the video, when the game came back up I was so excited to play but when I did I didn't enjoy it even a tiny bit. I think the main reason is because two years before the game got shut down I was playing all day, grinding, farming, etc. but I don't have time for that anymore I have to study at least 8-10 hours a day and for someone like me that doesn't have much time to play games it's not easy to grind. I think nostalgia just blinded us from the flaws of this game. I hope they make it easier to gain levels and increase the chances for traits and stands.

I will say, attributes are good if they give a minor buff. Like something that is good to have, but you wouldn’t be losing much by not having it. Like 20% plus HP or +4 Damage. Maybe even make it completely separate from the item, so you can choose if you want an attribute or not.

little combat rant: I think there should be a very clear difference in power between a new player and a max player, the max player should have moves that are far more flashy, can 1 shot any npc in the starter island or platform or whatever the starter area is, the max level player should also be able to tank hits easily that the new player loses half his health on. But I think one thing that can perfect the mindset of a new player thinking super highly of a max player, is either a level cap for fighting, or a lvl floor for pvp.A lvl cap for fighting is you have to be like, within 50 or so levels of eachother to damage each other, and a pvp lvl floor requires you be like level 20 to fight actual players. This is to prevent the max lvl player from mindlessly spawn camping all the newbies. This will drive a more respect and amazement mindset, then a hatred and fear aspect. if a new player sees 3 max levels spawn killing all the newbies, they will dspise max level players, and one common goal in adventure fighting games, is to be #1 on the leaderboard, the strongest. Now is being achieved for a different reason. Normally you go after #1 to be respected, and feared. Every new player somewhat aspires to be feared across the game. And for their mere existence to dictate the law. But now they want that #1 player title to keep everyone in check. Where one move could kill anyones chances of a peaceful experience. So that they can verye asily kill any max level players that attempt to kill newbies. Obviously killing max levels thatre farming noobs, is always a good thing to do. But when it's less about the newbies experience, and you're revenge. You kinda stop getting that hero title

I would get hierophant green requiem and just possess people because unlike regular hierophant green when you possess people with the requiem version you still control them after you die and from a farther range. You could also control npcs across the map so I could become Dio over heaven.

At first, I did think the game was “fun” and a distraction from playing YBA for hours, but then I got one shot by someone with a taco stand, I switched servers, and hot loop killed by a max level Kars. Very few stands have more skill nodes than just destructive power, but even so it gets wrecked by attributes. Also, can someone tell me why people flame Eclipse? I don’t understand what’s wrong.

I definitely thought project jojo did attributes well. They were up to a 2x buff to all things. And you could fight a boss to re-roll them.

4:09 Plus, you can spawn in a zone where all is 70+ lvl required and wasting 5 to 20 minutes (i'm bad at orientating) getting lost and not knowing where do you even start grinding nor the location of the next quest that you can do.
I feel like the ONLY game where they did attributes right as Project JoJo, and that game is OLD AS HELL. Even if you, let's say, get a trait that multiplies your base damage by 1.25x, your speed or health or sometimes even both get decreased to compensate. And the thing is: those damage increases are NEVER doubled, at worse they're 1.25x or slightly more. And even then, you can just body them if your Stand has a trait with really high HP.
The best part was, if you don't like it, there's an actual *way* to reroll your trait without having to erase your Stand, which is FAR superior to SU.

I know stand upright was a pretty poorly made game, but that’s what made it great for me and my friends. We had so much fun running through town as a koichi posing GER used no cd dashes on a flying kazoo while my friend used the hand requiem to pull some random guy across the entire map. The glitches and bugs made the game hilarious.

Idk there are ways to cheese bosses like with hierophant green and pilot, and “skill tree” which buffs the stands damage and the players “skill tree” can give you more exp gain and other stuff. But that’s just me

I think the game is pretty good because I've had a lot of good memories with the original and this just brought those back. One thing that sucks is the attribute system. Currently above lvl 80 and just got one if the rarest stands, Jotaro's Star Platinum Over Heaven. But the attribute i got with it decreases the stand hp by 10% so yeah, it sucks. Edit: so people don't think I'm a hacker, you cannot obtain Jotaro's Star Platinum Over Heaven under lvl 100. I had a friend turn it into the over heaven version because you cannot even enter the area where you get the required item under lvl 90.

SU:R is a violently nostalgic game (like that hasn't been stated a million times). To some people (such as myself) it just reminds us of Old universe AUT and when ABD was fresh and new. hey eclipse wondering what your thoughts on pokemon seen as they have natures that effect stats and abilities that do different things and some pokemon have "hidden" abilities that are just out right better than their other abilities and are only obtainable through events most of the time
Anybody complaining that there's xp boosts in the character skill tree, do you know how long it takes to actually get that many skill points to get to those upgrades? It takes hours to max it out and you still dont even get that much more xp from it because by the time you fully max that out you're probably level 75 and still have to kill a boss 3 times to get one level, which still takes like 30mins if you aren't using a pilot stand because you have to worry about getting hit and the boss actually does damage.

I could probably get to max lvl pres 3 in about 4-5 hours with one of the worse stands which is 1/4 of the time it takes to get to lvl 75 with an actually good stand (aka hg/hgr) and I think eclipse said this but it just isn't fun to grind. Yba makes it just a little fun while also keeping it short so you don't spend a whole day to get lvl 75-100 or in yba case pres 3 lvl 50 with unfightable npcs
The truth is, yes, people do really just wanna kill people in 1-2 hits, proof is that 90% of Project Jojo's fanbase left when they updated the game so it was actually balanced and you couldn't one shot people.

@@mrepicdood9953 Honestly I find it pretty balanced. Most stands can diah out a lot of dmg and kill you quick, but you can very often avoid their big combos and do the same back. With little m1 stun, you're forced to take more risks and can more easily win even if you make mistakes.
I play it a tiny bit now, and i'm gonna be honest the only thing that keeps me there is that nostalgic early Roblox jojo feel that it and early/mid ABD had.
If it weren't for that, i'd be long gone.

It's really just nostalgia for me. I grinded the hell out of og SU and I use to think it was the best Jojo game on roblox. I really don't have another reason as to why I love this Jojo game compared to all the others. I realize that the grind is horrible, stand models and effects are mid, and pvp is unbalanced as hell. I remember playing this game a long time ago, the reason why (at least I enjoy it) is that it’s a dumpster fire. The bugs and rng make the game feel fun and stupid. That’s the charm in it. For the start of the game, I was spoon fed. The moment i joined, i was handed a WR godly, maybe not the best, but an ok grinding stand. A little later, around level 15, I was fed a silver charriot req - glass canon. I stop accepting hand outs, and actually attempted to grind a TW legendary in december. never got it in time to get festive tw, actually i never even got a tw legendary. and I got a burn out, BUT now LEGENDARY IS RARER, with 'hacker' in its place. I was spoon fed, but when i wanted to work, the game took the biggest shit on me

About the attributes, i personally like it, but, the way they implemented it sucks, by alot. They're unbalanced and perma, which is real bad.
There should be an actual way to reroll attributes with in-game currencies.
I think that they should've made the attributes more like Project star where they don't really matter and without them you're still perfectly fine rather than if you have a really good attribute like Daemon then you one shot anyone

I think leveling up and rolling low chance stands can be pretty rewarding, especially when you start killing people in 2 hits and proceed to murder everybody and have a power trip. That being said, the grinding is still the worst I have ever seen and I wish they at least made the NPCs fun to fight

However, I do think Roblox does genuinely have some decent games that are just buried in a sea of awful, repetitive “simulators” and “tycoons” that are just brain dead clicker games made for 6 year olds that become addicted to getting more “pets” and will be willing to steal money to buy more overpriced lines of code.
For instance, games like Entry Point are well made games with fun objectives and require you to think it out. However, that being said, it is very similar to other heist games, but it has its own mechanics and play style.

I wanna say my experience with the og stand upright was quite unique. I got a legendary SC at level 9 when I tried getting a good stand to fight Giorno til level 10 (I had no idea I was supposed to fight him from level 5-9). After evolving it to SCR I had the time of my life. The fact that it was legendary was amazing. Random STWs trying to one shot me in time stop only to face the instant heal SCR had for some reason as well as its own arguably better version of TS were the highlights of my pvp experience. It made grinding super easy as it was able to pull any crowds of mobs together and one shot them with a legendary buffed barrage. SU was a shit game that's only fun by being not fun for the majority of players, I was just lucky enough to be on the side having fun with my legendary SCR and it's op moveset (especially since I had to do 0 stand farming)
Not having any luck on rebooted though, level 60 and didn't even get a daemon yet

I feel like this game is great to play not because of how good it is, but because of how bad it is. The bugs are fun to mess around with, and the overall look gives nostalgia. It is carried with nostalgia, coupled with the fact that people are getting tired of the games that we have right now (AUT, YBA, repetitive gameplay no end game).
You could always hop onto Stand Upright with some friends and mess around with the game's shit physics and mechanics and you'd have a blast. Well that's what I remember most from my experience of Stand Upright. (Not a good game, bad because of horrible gameplay, good if you're bored and want to waste time, it's really shitty and goofy lmao.)
They are getting tired of yba not because of the combat but because the devs just wont update said game as seen by the 8 month with no real update

I agree, the fighting and leveling is really terrible HOWEVER, I play for the stand farming and trading with my friends. Also the nostalgia in a way makes me forget about how terrible the leveling/fighting is.
I agree with Eclipse but I still enjoy grinding arrows for low-chance stands (Kinda like Bubble Gum Simulator if anyone played that). Also, I find it funny being able to one-shot people with really good stands (but I am not willing to spend 50 hours to get it lol, I find it fun but using arrows for like a 1 percent chance for a good stand on top of a like 0.5 percent chance for a good attribute is dead).
The PVP is garbage but it does make SOME sense that being able to one-shot people after spending 50 hours to get a good stand is a thing, however, it would be better off just making the chances far higher and removing any one-shot garbage. I fully agree with the NPCs and level grinding, but I can also see why some people (sweats) would find that fun. I have spent some time getting to a high level in this game (I got to around level 100), but the fact that I can still get one shot is just brain-dead, it kinda makes me think that leveling up is useless since you still get one shot, you might just be better off staying at around LVL 25 (so you can get some skill point upgrades) and just grinding for a good stand from there.
(I know my comment contradicts itself as I said it is fun earlier, but it's only really fun if you're the one one-shotting, and it probably won't be fun for more than 10 minutes.....)
TLDR: I agree with most of what Eclipse said, but some of the things that he said are bad (e.g attributes) gives you more stuff to do and adds to the gameplay.
I like the idea of attributes but almost every game that has them implements it wrong, I feel like if they're going to add attributes it shouldn't have attributes that are clearly just there to punish the player for rolling them and if there are at least a reroll system. I would like it if each attribute has a upside parred with a downside and some that go well with other stands while not in favor of another as that would allow some building just like specs, just like an arrow and roka there should be methods to obtain and erase attributes and if you don't have one it shouldn't punish you for it, it should just be like a balanced stand kind of like having no spec but a stand.

Also, the memories of the original stand upright like messing around with your friends or finding funny glitches is one of the reasons people are playing the rebooted game. I'm new to the roblox jojo game communities, and i gotta say that stands upright: rebooted is a lot of fun, especially with friends of a high level, that require other items, like charged arrows that newer players might find and not be able to use.
While playing the other roblox jojo games i have found SU: R is the best game, i find it fun to try arrow farming to find a better stand and seeing all the different possibilities.

I have played Stand Upright from the moment it came out the first time. I cannot argue that the game is overall bad, because it is. I had most likely put around 400 hours into the game, finally obtaining the best stand in the game (to me) SPOVAOH Legendary. It was only after I obtained this and spent the next 15 mins going around 1 shoting people, that I realized I had done all of that work, all of those many many hours grinding, using arrows, trading, for 15 minutes of gratification. 400 hours of my life, exchanged for 15 minutes of minute happiness. I cant tell you why i thought it was fun to do this or to put that many hours into this game, or even how I still feel like I should defend this game, but I did all this, and still feel this way. Am I mentally okay? Probably not. Though I will tell you one thing, I regret my poor decision making. Eclipse may not see this, actually no one will most likely see this but...that's okay, I'm glad to get this off my chest

when abd was popular, i did everything i could to get rspoh (an unob you could get from trading) i spent so many weeks just server hopping and trading. after so much time wasted I finally got rspoh and i actually didnt regret it until of course they made it obtainable 2 weeks later. then they did a data reset which made me even feel worse.
i got really hyped when aut came out. after the tier list was made, i was determined to get creeper queen (rarest unob). i was already motivated because i had a mid tier unobtainable before NU. basically did probably over 200 trades just to get creeper queen, and OF COURSE these moronic "tier list makers" decide to halve the value of creeper queen for no reason.
never waste your time on a jojo game. could've used all that time to ACTUALLY do something i wouldnt regret, like.... literally anything else. i wasted so much time just to get a "rare roblox stand". even when i got what i wanted, i lost it anyway.

as a person who grinds on sur alot (im level 202) what i watched right now is literally true alot of people came onto this game because its too nostalgia i did play the original su game and its just boring to grind and have like the rarest stand and also when starting there's legit no tutorial when you start the game All games must have a tutorial so it makes the new players understand the game and yes the ridiculous stand chanced and attribute chances are cringe as fuck. It just makes you wanna grind more and more for a good attribute because I've seen people get Dio's The world (rarest stand) but its a none they literally just freak out over a none which I say they need to remove the attribute because that adds more pressure onto you to grind on the game leave for some time then grind back.
This is why I stopped playing jojo games. They’re all “get item” or “kill bad guys” for like 10 hours and it’s not even fun. It’s the same every time. And then all of a sudden there will be people with unbalanced op stands who can one shot people for no reason meanwhile the normal stands you get are dumb garbage
In my defense, I was bored and had nothing to play and I’m tired of waiting for more crusaders heavens updates
personally I agree with eclipse here, just the leveling system by itself is annoying, as you could be a new player, and some guy who is like level 100 just comes up to u, one shots u over and over. Jojo games need an actual pvp system.

the reason why ppl love stand upright so much rn is (im pretty sure i played it back then so i think i have an idea) is because of nostalgia and they were young while playing it etc etc those young kids didnt and probably still don’t understand what a good game is and should be there werent allot of good jojo games were back then the game was alr back then so they played the old stand upright for hours and hours the game it self was trash but they couldnt really realise it they just loved messing around with the games horrible aspects but they couldnt realise that those aspects literally ruin the game, the game is basically a simulator people that are of older age also played it but i think i know why, the game addicts their players by making them farm for rare stuff by using arrows trading lvling up you name it so they would collect things that in reality are worthless but they cherished them so when the game reset they lost that feeling they loved so much of getting lucky flexing that luck and going for a bigger luck hoops its basically drugging them so they continue playing and it worked flawlessly the easiest way to compare stand upright players to different game players is like comparing drug addicts to a functioning human , they wouldnt care for how the game looks or anything as long as it’s playable for them they’ll play it, now that the player base of stand upright is older they will realise eventually that the game they are playing isnt really fun but just a game thats here to get them addicted so the devs can make fat cash of them. I think i understand why ppl play it but i dont even know if this is the real reason why
I really played the hell out of this game I didn't really mind the long grinding because I just turn off my brain and watch something else.
I even have recordings of myself farming the stands so the reboot definitely hit me with a wave of nostalgia but unless they add something else new to the game I would probably quit in less that an week
It's basically the only jojo game that Mobile players can play because most of the other jojo games on Roblox is straight up side way's the games are side way's when you play making it unplayable

The game is so bad because nobody even actually lvls up or tries to lvl up. My pov: HEY ANYONE WANT MY LEGENDARY THE WORLD FOR JOTARO STAR PLATINUM. Yep that's right, this game is just a garbage trading game instead of an actual good game. You see how this was stand upright? Stand upright didnt even update it to make the game better. The game creator just copied stand upright not rebooted. The stands are so freaking useless and the attributes are just annoying. You want king crimson? How unfortunate you got sloppy as it's attribute. Then you get bloody hg (hierophant green). When people actually get good attributes like legendary on a dio's the world. What can you do to kill them. :/ I have to say 75% of the players are just traders for better stands. I got a really good question, what are you gonna use that stand for?? If you're just gonna play the game to kill people, what's the point on the quests even in the game.

I used to play the old og stand upright but now I dislike this crap. I was just like those traders but now i understand the game.

I’d argue most Jojo games have devolved into “economy” based garbage, but at least most of them have some semblance of decent gameplay
So many people play it mainly for the nostalgia, back then it was fun to mess around with and just chill with friends and the community. The quality might not be the best but for some it is still fun, either for the gameplay or the memories

I played game and I never knew about the thugs and just caught giorno till level 25. I definitely agree with you about the don’t throw people into a game expecting them to just know what to so.
The reason why people still play the the game like me was because one nostalgia purposes and two because it's new game and people will want to try it out, give it a month and number of people playing the game will substantially decreased.
I can agree that attributes suck, in Project Star I finally got The World, the rarest stand in the game, with it’s rarest skin (shadow the world) and it rolled weak And ruined it what could’ve been the ultimate flex to my friends. It hurt. I wasn’t even going for a skin I just wanted the stand.

I think attritubes are great, ONLY when you can choose them with downsides and upsides, with them all being fair and balanced, like sacrificing maybe like speed for health or something

One of my roblox friends joined the game a while ago, immediately got bored and told me he didn't like it. This proves how quickly the game becomes stale
It's probably nostalgia. And to be quite frank. one shotting people and making them mad was pretty funny. And some animations are quite cool + cool stand concepts. Though i will say looking at some of the more downside's this game was always kinda dead terrible and outright boring after 5 minutes. With great luck this game could be fun. That would require insane luck to get. This game has massive potential. The custom stand concept's to them also having a skill tree. If they decided to actually give this game some gamemode's fun factor's events and well a more user friendly method of playing the game this game could EASILY beat prime YBA.

I mainly play for nostalgia. I know, common excuse for liking the game. I can see why most people dislike it though. Bad combat system, trashy models, too grindy, etc. The game doesn’t really have a purpose in my opinion. You can choose to farm for decent stands to kill the big bad boss and whatnot. Or, which sounds more ideal to me, choose to play with friends that enjoy the game. Despite all of the flaws in the game, people still enjoy the game for what it is.

mainly because of the nostalgia... the jojo games before were not as good as jojo games right now so this was actually considered "good" because the bar was low before. and also it was in the era when abd was still up and running, old universe, literally all abd modded games so it just brings back all of those memories even though it has nothing to do with those games it still just feels... familiar
The dumb thing is I was in a server right now and a guy had hierophant green req with legendary attribute meaning anyone fighting had no chance
For me, its the simplicitiy of it. Sure its not cool getting 2 tapped by someone with SPOVA legendary trait, but the game itself is just simple. Friends for me make this game 20 times more fun so yeah. I think its the aspect of just being total goofballs in a game with such insane balancing that attracts me to it.
