- The only Roblox game I've played where killing homeless people is an important staple in progression...
Just for the record, obviously I don't think the game developers have anything against homeless people or anything, it's all jokes. Don't go around making a fool of yourself by taking what's clearly a joke seriously.

i love how in most jojo games, you have to kill a couple of starter npcs and they usually just ragdoll on death.. but in this game, when you kill them once you beat them up, they reach their hand out, begging for mercy.. but you feel no remorse. you must get that arrow.

The main quests change depending on your path. Your karma increases when you complete certain quests and refrain from killing, but your karma decreases everytime you kill a player or an npc

I don't know it's just an interesting idea

Throw in some stuff from 7th stand user like the quiz, some good combat and you got a recipe for a decent game.

I’ve tried this game only once, and it was one of the weirdest experiences ever. It’s alike a game called Stands Online which is full of RNG but with an actual combat system? Well.. a semi.. functional combat system anyway.

that dev should of stuck to that one dragon ball game he made instead of going onto stands online. That db game was peak and way ahead of its time but sadly he stopped working on it and some reason removed cell race. Then hackers started making scripts for the game and then ppl eventually stopped playing it

@@mageenta easy grind does not make it any more fun. Bc u complete the game faster and then there is nothing else to do except wait for a content update. Grind in general has to be balanced with the game’s experience and this game definitely is the opposite.

Someone already pointed this out, however I felt some things need to be said:
The kill/carry system (generally called “gripping”, or grip system) derives from the game Rogue Lineage, and really just functions as a pvp feature with some minor QOL use in questing with friends.
Games like GPO use it since that game has important systems surrounding kills in pvp, and being able to pass grips to teammates or carry players away from their teammates is helpful. It also means you don’t immediately die which prevents cheese from being viable in team environments.
(e.g. you can’t take someone out of the game just for getting a cheesy one shot without dealing with their teammates first)

Well, that kill system is commonplace in more anime games, like gpo, shindo life, and project slayers (I think). Some games even give you cooler kill animations with different weapons, like how you brutally kick a person dead in gpo with the kicking fighting style (black leg). It's a pretty cool game mechanic imo, reminds me of Aragami 2 somewhat. You could also pick up people in these games, maybe to throw em in a pit or to dissuade them from screwing with ya without killing them for the benefits that can sometimes bring.

There's also been a lot of drama about the devs of A Bizarre Universe stealing models, faces, effects etc. from other popular games like AUT and YBA, and i've seen one or two videos of people comparing the models of the body parts of the stands to models from said jojo games. So basically not only the pvp feels incredibly weird, almost as if you had nine thousand ping, but the developers are apparently... thieves?
Take my words with a grain of salt though, i'm just a normal person, so have your own critical thinking.
Anyways, in my opinion, if they really stole the models etc, don't play their game. Encouraging people to steal from other games is terrible.

I think its a good idea to watch these videos to learn what not to do in a video game, and take notes on what to do in a video game for a video game maker.

2:52 world of stands wasn't random, it had the normal stands in it, but I don't blame you for not remembering because you've probably played a ton of different jojo games and at some point they sorta get blended together in your head (it also helps that world of stands hasn't been publicly available for a few months) good video though 👍

The reason for the carry mechanic is for gang wars or 2v2s and stuff, so you can carry someone away and grip (aka kill) them without their friends knocking you out of the animation by attacking you. The whole "Points left" thing is the max amount of points you can get and use on your current stand (there is a rebirth system to increase this cap by 10 points per.) You can get more max moves via upgrading potential.
You have to click M, which is menu, you have to CLOSE menu in order to turn shift lock back on, also having menu up disables chat, so you can't type, talk or anything while you have the menu up

can't believe this is eclipse's first time seeing custom "grip/kill" animations
it's like project jojo and i really enjoy it which i do think they could improve some stuff like what you said about not knowing what the moves do and having to unlock them to find out what they do and the shift lock thing that's another problom but i think there's nothing you can really do about it. the combact system may need a little sharping and npc too but the RNG could just need like a chance bar on the left to tell you what you are doing and what your chances of getting a certan rarity of one move is but i don't really know what you can do but just wait it may get better but it will be weird for while, but when they relised it took them one day to fix the trading glitch and they added stand trading real quick unlike yba. i think this game got some potental with it's developers
there's a jojo fangame from 2014 made in rpg maker which literally takes getting a stand to extreme levels, by making you do a personality quiz and giving you an original stand based of your result.

Game just felt like one of those MHA RPGs but without the hero/villain system and quirks are replaced with stands
The kill/carry mechanic is from is taken from Rogue Lineage/Deepwoken games in a completely different genre based heavily around pvp
Fun fact, the Potential stat is needed to buy more skills. The more Potential you have, the more skills you can get. I think it also gives you more chance to get rarer skills. Not sure on that though

i didn't keep one stand, i was going for one that is already almost finished(it had maxed out speed and potential) so i could make cool moveset
Not a bad idea, forcing you to choose between more skills or damage/durability for what you already have. Would be nice if the game TOLD YOU WHAT THEY DO.
Development potential makes it easier for you to progress via stats and if you evolve your stand theres a better evolution for it (Same thing as world of stands)

The best thing about this game is the absurd stand designs and names.
My stand is literally called Ashamed Plastic, and looks like a red and pink Weather Report but strong like Star Platinum. It's a cool concept, but it really just doesn't work because the chances of you getting anything with both an okay name and an okay look are so small. The devs probably should have just went the traditional way, but even then not a very good game sooo
I like how the quests say "beat" the user but the quest doesnt complete unless u kill the man does that mean the player is a psychopath who enjoys killing people and those quests are just justifications for the player to not go insane from just mindleslly killing people
This video remind me of the video I once saw on Eclipse's discord server, where someone compiled Eclipse's phrases, and made a story about him murdering someone and goint into jail for this
He Eclipse if you become a vampire and get the last skill to turn NPCs that are downed or players into zombies you can infinitely spawn zombies from those injured businessmen. And it's soo funny watching the server decend into chaos

i agree the combat is a bit weird and can feel like ur not even playing anymore especially if ur lagging, but the blocking mid barrage thing is intentional. the games tips (can be found on the bottom of ur screen in the main menu) one of them says “you can block mid combo so u dont get infinite combo’d” so yeah i wish they would change it cuz walking out of a barrage is absolute insanity but thats all i gotta say🗿
Honestly had to kill around the map to even find the mobs needed for the quest would be a wanted criminal stand online is just there at the murder scene while this is a country away from the quest

The dev of ABU has worked on a previous project that had abysmal issues across the board and flopped after around a month. I predict it will be a similar fate if not a little longer until it succumbs to the same fate.
I'm not sure if you knew this or not Eclipse, but A Universal Time is going to open their Public Testing game back up for people to try the new combat system they made. Just letting you know for a video idea since you mentioned how you'd give aut another chance if they fixed their crappy combat system.

Why is every character in Roblox clinically insane? In YBA you literally just believe some guy in the sewer claiming he's fucking Dracula, and go down and beat people who look like homeless men to death, and here you just kill random people for no fucking reason!
The "zombie henchmen" also use either boxing skills or regular skills, NEVER anything looking like zombies or vampires
development potential is prob the amount of moves you can get. ALSO there should be a karma system which acts like the bounty system in GTA that would be great that would make this perfection

I think you should consider playing a game called Reaper 2. It's another anime game, but based around Bleach instead of Jojo. At the end of the day, it is a stun simulator, but the animations and VFX are really interesting and there are a lot of interesting abilities. I think you'd have some amount of fun with it, especially once you get near the "endgame". The PvE, which is majority of the level grind, is questionable but you can still work with it once you learn it. The PvP is the main reason why I play it, but that really only comes once you reach higher levels, so let that be known.

Eclipse, let me level with you here. If you didn’t make this video, I would’ve been playing this game with no questions ask. You’re like “how could you kill homeless people!?” While I’m just like, “ah another Tuesday.”
All the stand stats do different things depending on different moves, except power and durability. Those power just increases damage and durability just gives you more hp. Also, the kill/carry mechanic is for vampires I believe, because once they are maxed out, they can turn npcs into zombies to jump the shit out of another npc or player. Another thing, you don't actually need to do quests to level up, it's actually a much more brainless experience where you just need to kill one normal npc or boss until you get all 150 stat points. Once you are done you can then spend your time emptying your bank account for a spec like boxing in order to *send your foes to ohio.*
As a tester, I can most definitely say this game is......there.....
I know one of these days, eclipses is gonna play more awful jojo games and one of the devs will get so angry that he adds a kill eclipse quest. I feel like this game is going to do that

reason you cant move your cam or go into shiftlock mode is because of the menu, the menu prevents u from doing these things. just press m again with menu open to remove it and be able to use shiftlock again.

The kill/carry mechanic seems to be from a popular one piece game, Grand Piece Online. It doesn’t make sense there, and it doesn’t make sense here either.
as a rogue player the execution/kill animation is exactly like this u can just cancel to beat they up util they log

um if you never kill the player thats down they will just heal enough to get back up.

Aight theory time: Your character watched JJBA, played Roblox JoJo game and this is just his/her's nightmare. This is why the stands are never the ACTUAL stands. They are all blurry to your character. THIS is why you can CHOOSE your skills instead of just getting it. For the "beating up homeless dudes".. yeah.. your character has gone insane by that point
Development potential is basically if you can heaven or requiem it the higher your potential the better the requiem or heaven version
The only reason the shift lock wouldn't work is because when you're on the menu it just does that it's fine when you go off the menu

something I do like about this game is that gang wars are REALLY fun, like how if you get knocked down you are basically able to be kidnapped and you can hold other members hostage as opposing forces try to free them, also the fact you can teleport to the gang leader gives you a target to prioritize. I think this logic applies to every game (that being friends make it better) but holy moly is it fun with friends. Also, with the randomized stands, when you fight someone you do not know what you're getting yourself into and it is like an actual jojo fight. But that is just my take, what I have noticed about a lot of jojo games is that they are not fun when you just play by yourself with the single objective of getting stronger or beating the game, and I think that this game has some of the most fun pvp in most jojo roblox games. and I mean FUN not GOOD, this combat system is s hitty but oh my lord the idea of randomized stands and being able to carry players just makes for an amazing gang battle experience. But anyways, my suggestion is when trying new shi tty roblox jojo games, maybe play them with some friends.
