Both abuse his W being on a predictable path, the problem is the things that work well into nunu, generally get beaten by poke and or controll, so if you draft nunu with solid range, into those champs, you still win.
I would've agreed before they moved power out of his w reduction and the kraken + guinsoos synergy from earlier this season. Maybe not so much anymore outside of solo queue.
Jarvan usually does really well counter ganking and forcing nunu out of making plays or getting objectives while also being able to more consistently be proactive in mid game fights.
I generally like a lot of LS thoughts about the game but here he has just not thought it through. Nunu is absolutely garbage, very very easy to counter and tremendously useless in mid to late.
bruv no way high elo players are saying nunu is a quality champion. what counters nunu is 2 things. first, the fact that hes useless late game, any jungler that scales well makes nunu useless later. 2nd, any laners with hard cc and/or dashes (many champs can fit this category) can neutralize nunu gank by simply cc-ing him or dash-dodging his w. if laners respect his ability to gank and dont die 80 times before 14 minutes, team with nunu has to play 4v5 cuz hes gonna be as good as afk thereafter
he does not get outscaled. he cant be outsmited and he has an insane passive (please read it, its insane). he has aoe slow in teamfights and saying that he gets cc´d is just another way to say "he draws aggro", a stun used on nunu is a stun not used on a carry. also the "if laners respect his ability to gank" is just very funny.
Flexible, there is multiple variations, low Econ with solari, of tank liandry, tank spirit visage Frozen Heart and full ap pen storm surge pen boots rabadons void. All dependent on enemy and ally team of course. If you play vs a lot of low to mid durability champs, nunu W is basically a 50% chunks to them, if played AP. Does your team have a typical front to back format and enough dmg? Go off Tank or tank. Honestly I am not sure if you ever should play liandry in tankier builds. Is the game all about burst your Carries go Solarie redemption and maybe even knights vow. Remember you can still always depending on situations have moments where these builds mix to a certain extend.

Morgana counters nunu in a vacuum, in any roll jg, mid or sup, black shield and Q counters every snowball he tries to roll. Her R counters his.
I'm not an LS hater but seems like he thinks pros gonna let a freaking nunu beat them with his brailess kit of abilities

“Respect his early game ganks” impossible task. If you know he’s top side you should not forfeit your lane by giving 2-3 waves just to avoid a gank
