The thing that puzzles me in this episode is why Ezra didn't just cut through the hatch with his lightsabre, it would have been quicker than sending AP-5 for a space walk.
people wondering why the ship blew up she reversed the signal and boosted the data being received effectively white noise. what she was trying to do was just fry their memory core. this being an ISB ship though with its quite large memory core and systems dedicated to the collection and processing of data in such a relatively small place that all went into meltdown and other systems couldnt handle the power surge as the memory core used more and more to try and handle the data frying their systems. with the fuel cells compromised as well and all the electricity and sparks. KABOOM.
True as well there is also the possibility that the ISB ship had a self-destruct program that would be triggered if the memory core was fried like that in order to prevent anyone from recovery any data that might have survived.
There's so many reasons why that shouldn't be possible that the only explanation becomes that it was intentionally designed wrong to explode. What, did Galen Erso design the Gozanti as well?

No doubt Chopper would have been fighting tooth and nail to get control of himself back, and he might very well have had a single opportunity to throw some code into the ship that was taking him over. Code that would have been triggered by something he would expect a certain someone to do to get him cut free. Something that would make the ship's key function go into major explosive overload.
