  • We finally have functional particles in the Blender master branch! They're a work in progress, and there's not a lot of features yet, but in this video I'll show the basic process of setting up your first particle node system :)

I agree. Not only is it good advice and helathy views you are giving there, beiing in nature and focusing on the moment clears your head for inspiration in general and artistically as well. A point often overlooked by many (anyone knows artistic blockage :) )

Besides the nodes, I enjoyed your insights about the berry picking even more. Getting to know the Finnish culture more is beautiful. Plus the concept of 3D and mindfulness is fantastic. We Designers barely focus on the moment as we always solve other people's problems from the past and future. Thanks 🙏

Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed the thought tinkering part also :) I agree that a lot of artists could benefit hugely from some simple mindfulness practices. Many artists do tap into the present moment when they get a good flow going, but it's always better to be conscious about it, and to try and bring that presence elsewhere also.

      Copied from another answer:
The function/particle nodes kind of died out when the dev team started working on the new geometry nodes. There's a branch for that, but it doesn't have these dynamic particles yet. They'll come later.
The geometry nodes are a bit more universal system, designed to also include procedural modeling, set dressing, etc. Unfortunately it means that the particles got delayed, but fortunately they'll be able to use some of the code later when dynamic particles get the focus again..
