One suggestion to try, as far as getting the batteries out, is that since the bays are independent, perhaps putting them in with an empty bay in-between. You might be able to pull them out easier.
Yes, I guess I forgot to add the link in the comments. Big blue. About $75 right now - I think I got it on a lightning deal for $65 amzn.to/4f5kWAr (affiliate Link)
I've got the exact charger and really like it. Can you recommend a 120V AC to USB Wall Adapter so I can charge it from any electrical outlet in the house? Thanks!
I received my charger 07-06-23 with 16 batteries 2 out of the first 8 charged the other 6 flashed red all night . I put the other set of 8 batteries in and they all flash red . The way I understand you, it means I got 14 junk batteries.
Weird. I'd make sure it's pushed all the way in, and that you don't have the poles reversed. That seems odd to have that many "dud" batteries. Do you have another charger you could try them in? And usually the batteries come with some charge... Could you put them in a flashlight or something and see if they are working at all?
I know the red blinking when the battery in means the battery is unchargeable. I think flashing green without batteries means it isn't getting the right amount of power - I would try another cable or another wall charger
This charger seems to power up my batteries way too quickly and then surprise, surprise they don't last. Not impressed. Also, a reviewer on Amazon said the instructions prefer 8 batteries charger at a time for battery sustainability. (Unclear on if this is accurate info, but if so that's just not realistic.) Update: See my below reply. I had one failed battery at least, unclear if the issue was the charger or battery.
@@JasonsHonestReviews Thanks. It's been awhile since I wrote that comment. Using a multi-meter I think one of the batteries has failed. I did switch to a different charge so I could see how full the batteries are as they charge, but I'm not sure that my original issue was the charger.
I noticed the samething and it makes perfect sense, the math between the current/voltage it draws and when it lits green for a cell just don’t add up. It could be viewed as an portable emergency charger to get a dead battery up somewhat but it simply don’t cut it as a general purpose nimh charger.
I charged mine until the light was green but when I put them in my Xbox controller it shows that they are half way charged. So I put them to charge again again until the light turned green again. When I put them in the controller again it says they are half way charged. I when ahead and played and only lasted about 30 min of playing and it was completely drained. What should I do?.
That's really interesting... I don't actually have anything that tells me the amount of charge. I am not sure... this makes me wonder if MINE are charging all the way. Do you have a different charger? I wonder if the problem is the battery or the charger... ?
You kmow what i find funny is that i just got thi battery charger right cause i'm tired of buying battaries and replacing them but i needed it cause i battaries for days
Powerowls batteries are total garbage. Only half of mine charged back up after the first discharge. On the second charge even more are flashing dead. It may be a good charger but thier batteries are not quality.
The worst battery charger I have ever bought. I place AAA, AA batteries in this device, the unit finally shows the batteries to be fully charged. If I remove the batteries, then wait five minutes, then reinstall the batteries, the unit indicated the batteries need re-charging. When I install these "charged" batteries into my flashlight, the batteries do not last five minutes. This unit is a piece of junk.
I wonder if you received a defective product. I have two of these and have had good success. Even with my duracel and Energizer battery chargers, they will "think" the battery needs to be charged again if I take it out and put it right back in. I would reach out to the company and see if they will replace your charger.
Thanks, Jason, for showing the USB connectors and for testing the time it took to recharge the batteries. Important details!
You're welcome, Jeff. Thanks for the feedback!

That's a great suggestion! Thanks, Stephen!
@@JasonsHonestReviews You are very welcome, and thanks for the original video.
Awesome I didn’t think of using my solar charger as well! Will definitely buy extra batteries for emergency ‼️.
Great idea, violet!
Great video.. Can you give more info on your solar charger .... brand .. model ... price ... where purchase from?

I use most any wall adapter that I use for charging tablets, phones, etc. They have all worked fine

@JasonsHonestReviews
I have a single slot charger I'm going to try
@@fallenxangel7117 I hope you figure it out. That's too weird
Thier batteries are trash. Out of 16 I have 2 left that charge after the second time charging
I had the same problem at first but changed around the charging box I was using and had success with all my batteries that were flashing
Do all batteries brands work on the charger?
You should at least be able to charge nickel metal rechargable batteries of any type. I'm not sure about lithium ion - haven't tried any of those
Can you tell me if it is wall mountable? Thanks in advance. Edit, watched the curious engineers tear down and won’t be buying one 👍🏼
Doesn't look wall mountable. I've never heard of the curious engineers... I'll have to check that out!
Are the red dots supposed to blink when charging?
I expect that is a result of the camera. If the red lights flash that indicates a battery has failed (as least on my unit which looks the same).
Correct! The red light should be solid. It just looked like it was flashing because of the frame rate of the camera
No, it should be solid.
there are no lights showing up on my powerowl - any suggestions? all power supplies are strong
I would check the cable, the wall plug. If both of those are good, you may have got a dud - I'd return it
How long does the charge last on both the AA and AAA batteries?
I made a video testing both. They both lasted an impressive time!
@@JasonsHonestReviews
Thanks for the feed back.
How long does it take to charge the batteries?
Mine took maybe 3 or 4 hours
Bought one. Thanks for the video.
I've been really happy with mine! Hope you are too!
It’s been 2 weeks since my batteries have been on the charger and none of them have been fully charged, is this normal?
Not at all. Something is wrong
2 weeks.... How dare you to let this happens.
Can you plug this into a solar cell?
Sure can! Works great (as long as you have enough sun and a high quality cable)
can I use another brand of AA brand to charge on the device? for my digital camera?
Yes, as long as it's NiMh
I charge my amazon and energizer with no issue, powerowl doesn't discriminate too much.
What if it flashes green with no batteries are in it. And red blinking when they are in there
I know the red blinking when the battery in means the battery is unchargeable. I think flashing green without batteries means it isn't getting the right amount of power - I would try another cable or another wall charger
How has it held up?
So far so good!
@@JasonsHonestReviews awesome. Thanks for the reply
What does it's mean when it's blinking red
That means the battery is defective - it won't charge anymore.
@@JasonsHonestReviews oh ok thx
Mine was blinking red, however I put it in dumb charged and it charged, same happened in solar 1 AA charger
How can I get these in the Island of Jamaica
Great question. Wish I knew. Sorry! Thanks for the comment.
Amazon, I live in St.lucia and just purchased them

I haven't noticed them not holding a charge. I would try with a different USB cable and wall plug and see if that makes a difference.

what if the red light is blinking red
Mine keeps cycling red, green, red when the batteries are in and it's been plugged in with 8 double A batteries for about 5 hours
Hmm... I haven't had that happen. I'd check that all the batteries are fully in place
@@JasonsHonestReviews For some strange reason I tried only putting 7 double A batteries and it's not doing it anymore
