    Yes, Eneloops are awesome AA and AAA cells. I've been using them for over 10 years now. They were originally made by Sanyo and then Panasonic bought them out. Still made in Japan as far as I know.
    I got this charger for charging 14500 and similar Li-XX cells for the higher voltage in the same form factor. Cheers.

    2A at 12V DC can provide 1A at 4V DC for all four bays without issue using DC-DC conversion.

    I have the same unit and it says 1000ma*4 output on the unit and in the instructions . I charged 4 18650 at 1000ma just fine

      That sounds great.. maybe yours is an upgraded model mine does 500ma per bay on the display while charging

    It must take two days to charge a battery at 1/2 an amp.

      The batteries average 2000ma each or 2amps capacity. That’s 4 hours. The very large 2500 batteries take 5 hours.

      @@hamradiocomms Thanks. Not so bad. Nor nearly as bad as I thought. What is the limiting factor to faster recharging? Or at least like my phone.

      @@equsnarndphones are lithium and able to take faster charging without affecting battery longevity too badly. NiMH batteries will degrade if charged too fast.
