Have you noticed how the characters slightly sway from side to side to make an impression of a running train? They are actually in a studio (notice the video looping window at 1:33) This is some serious acting ❤😊
For me it would be when Bond got the DB5 from the vallet and he engages Solange Dimitrios for mistaking that her husband still owned the car. It was short, but this is what Vesper was talking about when she said he thought of women as disposable pleasures instead of meaningful pursuits.

Fun framing detail I noticed for movie nerds: At 1:34 and 3:13 it cuts to two medium shots. Very common for scenes that show two people talking to eachother. But the blocking is a bit off, with both characters seemingly pressed against both sides of the screen. The notable details are that at 1:34 we see Bond given greater visibility than Vesper. In the context of the scene it makes sense. He's confidant and has already read her like a book. He's the dominant one. However At 3:13 after Vespers own dissection she has now taken up more of the screen while Bond is crammed in the corner. The camera is visually showing us the game of tug of war the two are playing as both try to dominate the other
Seeeee if you ever run into an attractive rival that can prick your intelligence apart and your flaws that is scary and intimidating. They could be each other’s worst enemies or perfect lovers. That was an insane interpersonal analysis they gave. Wow.
I remember watching this scene in the cinema when it came out and thinking 'oh hello, here's some very smart dialogue'. Looking at it now it's still got real sparkle. A game of poker in itself. Line by line they feel each other out. I see you and I raise you. We are at the table but these two seem to be the ones with strong hands. It's a job to keep up. It's saying this Bond and this Bond girl are sharp. When the dialogue is as tight as this, playing the scene should be a blast and that elusive chemistry, a whole lot easier to generate.
The fact that’s what you got from this scene is hilarious. Do you hate men or something? Bc you sure have a hard time recognizing one getting the upper hand.

He can acknowledge she won their little back and forth, an attractive quality for sure that she likes as shown by her little smile before she leaves.
He let her think she won he's not an orphan
@@mustafa8920 wwhat ?? :)))
@@mustafa8920 Check out Skyfall his parents headstone is shown
He made her think she won. She didn’t. She actually read him wrong.
It was a draw to be honest.
I was so disappointed the producers killed off Vesper so soon. But it really helped develop Daniel Craig's Bond as the franchise went on
Best exchange in the whole franchise. I don't know why Bond script writers don't do this anymore.
Toast to the writers of this very sexy scene.
toast to your willy
"Rolex?"
"Omega!"
Thus, the birth of a slew of "Rolex vs Omega" youtube videos.
Skewered
Personally I’m an omega man just like 007 and Prince William
Taeger...
Taeger is for women, who kill bad men...
Tag-Heuer cries in corner.
This was likely the most Bondesque exchange since the days of 'Tomorrow Never Dies'.
This is the kind of dialogue that harkens back to the snappy banter of Hollywood's better days. Even Howard Hawks might well have been impressed by a scene like this.
Eva Green's complete inability to keep a straight face during the blatant product placement at 3:15 gets me every time.
Perfection...
There only a few directors I know that can pull of a scene like this
Tarantino and Nolan, but to see Campbell pull this off so effortless.
This movie is a gem, and my my casino royale truly is sublime as it ages.
Man ...I love Eva Green. She fits in everything.
The best scene, considering all films. I've seen them all, many times over, and this is the most memorable dialogue.
Have you noticed how the characters slightly sway from side to side to make
an impression of a running train?
They are actually in a studio
(notice the video looping window at 1:33)
This is some serious acting ❤😊
Nice spot
The only scene that comes close to this later was meeting Q at the Museum.
Meeting Q is a fuckin snooze
For me it would be when Bond got the DB5 from the vallet and he engages Solange Dimitrios for mistaking that her husband still owned the car. It was short, but this is what Vesper was talking about when she said he thought of women as disposable pleasures instead of meaningful pursuits.
A bloody big ship.
that was a different movie...
@@WillKew I meant later in the whole series.
Unquestionably the most delicious piece of dialogue in the bond the franchise
This is one of the greatest scenes in a Bond film Eva..
*Eva Green was the perfect cast for Vesper. Elegant, strong minded but vulnerable all the same.*
One of the most epic scenes in cinema. Just like the whole movie. Wonderful masterpiece.
Casino Royale is my favorite Bond film of all time. That may seem wild for some people, but I've seen all of them, and something about this one just sticks with me every time.
Not wild at all actually...i'd say you're in pretty good company
" _I'm the money._ "
" _Every penny of it._
This exchange compensates Moneypenny's absence in this movie.
Sorry.
It's obviously a reference, no need to apologize.
I just thought it was a killer line. Damn I'm so oblivious.
I was the only one in the theater who got the joke, it’s weird being the only one laughing.
It also brings up how moneypenny shows up in Skyfallllllll... When they crumble.... We will stand Taaalalalalallllll and face it ... Aw shucks, I mean a shit. Iam singing it... Stop that!!
One of the best scene ever on interaction between two people of opposite gender in the entire movie history!! And this is also why Eva Green will be remembered as one of the finest bond girl ever!!
"Which is why I've been able to detect an undercurrent of sarcasm in your voice"
"I'm now assured our money is in good hands"
Such deliciously pristine dialogue that hits you as obvious and also sly in the same go. Crikey this film a treat-and-a-half!!
Fun framing detail I noticed for movie nerds:
At 1:34 and 3:13 it cuts to two medium shots.
The camera is visually showing us the game of tug of war the two are playing as both try to dominate the other
Hands down my favourite Bond movie and this scene solidified it for me.
Seeeee if you ever run into an attractive rival that can prick your intelligence apart and your flaws that is scary and intimidating. They could be each other’s worst enemies or perfect lovers. That was an insane interpersonal analysis they gave. Wow.
Very well constructed scene/dialogue with excellent chemistry between the 2 of them. Eva Green is superb!!
Love how Vesper is mocking Bond the entire scene, but at first he thinks he's holding his ground.
The fact that’s what you got from this scene is hilarious. Do you hate men or something? Bc you sure have a hard time recognizing one getting the upper hand.
Vesper was incorrect about her assumptions about Bonds childhood, but he let her win.
@@vinnievu1 sorry, he was orphaned, read the history
High quality writing in this one.. every line was thought out very carefully
Won several Awards as as result.
the "off the cuff" psychological evaluations in this scene were fascinatingly revealing.
it was cliche
The dialogue in this scene is superb hats off to the writers 👏🏾 👏🏾
I love this scene. Eva Green is mind melting brains & beauty. Her and Craig work so well together.
Eva Green is 26 here, let that sink in.
Eva Green is ageless.
Uhm... okay?
GTFO... i dont believe that
no fuckn way
That's not a good thing - she literally looks older than 26 wtf is wrong with you all xD
Daniel Craig is the best bond ever his movies will never date or age badly.
the tech has already aged badly
QoS was crap. Skyfall made no sense as he already became a grizzled vet somehow. Spectre was forgettable.
*except for the skyfall shower scene
There is no such thing as a bad James Bond film, only Bond films which were not as great as the best Bond films, admit it.
