Arthur is a good man. He died. A good man. And he will never be forgotten. Not all heroes gotta be super human or special forces.. sometimes it just takes heart to make the right choice.
Almost perfect. The only thing that's missing from this video is when Hosea asks Arthur how he wants to die, and Arthur answers "Ah, I haven't much thought about that. When the time comes, just point me west so I can watch the sunset and think about the good times."
12:04 gave me goosebumps all the way to the end From villain to hero From selfish to selfless From evil man to good man From outlaw to brother From revenge to redemption Definitely one the greatest game characters that I actually grew fond of and cared about. Turning from a villain at the beginning to the hero at the end. This game is definitely one of the best games ever made
This is literally the ultimate character transition. We start out as a villain and end up as a hero. Kinda like the reverse of Walter White in Breaking Bad.
Arthur & Dutch's relationship is very much like Jesse & Walter's. Jesse started out as a criminal, but as he got strung along more and more by Heisenberg's twisted plans, he started to go straight and wanted to do the right thing. "Just one more cook Jesse. One more cook and then we'll be eating mangos in Tahiti."
Also the irony of Mary telling him "You'll never change, I know that." I guess she didn't know him well enough, because he did. Or at least he tried, and that was what mattered.
I didn’t like her much, it seemed like she only used Arthur. I wish Arthur would of had a relationship with Sadie maybe they could of had a child together
I feel like Arthur is one of the most tragic protagonists. He had to run from home when his father was arrested, he was forced to turn to a life of robbery and murder by a man who was a living powder keg, all the while having to ignore the horrible things his family did. To make it worse, he got tuberculosis in a time where it's a death sentence. I'm just glad he was able to redeem himself and allow the closest thing he had to a brother a second chance at true happiness.
Did like everybody go to the the hospital thing in Saint Denis with really low honor the realising you did not have much time just to make Aurther a good man cause like the games not like most were it forced you to just cause that's how the story was supposed to be us players chose to not just cause Aurther is great but because we care so much for the others characters like John, Sadie, Hosea, Lenny, even sean, cause those seem to be the characters most feel a solid connection to
You forgot how he also had his chance of a family but knew he couldn't stay due to his loyalty to the gang. Only to return home to two graves. When he tells John to stay loyal to what really matters (implying that family is what's important), and having lived through his mistake. Arthur doesn't just care for his gang member, he cares for his brother. It made me appreciate this masterpiece of a game.
@@jonah6300 Arthur literally died to save him and Abigail doesn't care about honoring the man who saved his husband by stopping the man who ruined everything once and for all. Its such an interesting way they made this story. In the beginning, Dutch is this caring, loving leader while Arthur is the tough, relentless killer. But throughout those 6 chapters we see them reversing positions. Dutch starts to lose control of his actions and his emotions, causing him to be the relentless one, especially after the death of Hosea. Arthur gets closer to everyone in the gang, and especially John. He gets diagnosed with tuberculosis, a life threatening disease which had no cure at the time. This made him see the world a different way, knowing that he only has so many more moments left. He also meets Rains Fall, cheif of the native americans in the region and a loving father of Eagle Flies. Rains Fall and Eagle Flies are a representation of Arthur and Dutch. After talking with the chief, Arthur becomes a more wiser and accepting person, while Dutch and Eagle Flies both become filled with more anger as time goes on. After the death of Hosea, Dutch didn't have anyone to control his actions, and let the chaotic Micah be his right hand man, causing all the death and sorrow. Rains Fall said that he was once an anger filled fighter when he was young, but he changed over time. He never wanted his son to live that way, so he tries to stop him. His advice doesn't get to Rains Fall in time, falling in the same line as Dutch. Arthur has tried to stop Dutch's chaotic actions, but inevitably fails. We see Arthurs story begin with Dutch and Micah, both on your side. You end his story with Dutch and Micah, both against you. I started loving them, and ended up hating them. Such a masterpiece of a game, should have been game of the year.

great video. I'd love to see you do a tribute for John, starting from RD2 and ending in RD1, showing how Arthur taught him to mature and be a better man to his family.
I disagree that John matured and became a better man to his family. If anything, it just reiterated the theme of the game as Dutch said “we can’t change our nature” and “revenge is a fool’s game.” Arthur wanted John to run off and don’t look back. Instead of doing what Arthur wanted him to do, John went back to kill Micah, which eventually led to his own death in RD1.
@@TheChokfire bruh john went from leaving his wife, son, and gang for a year, also breaking a code, to building a house for his family, letting a friend live there, buying the ranch for Abigail, and tons more stuff. I honestly just respectfully disagree.
Prior to RDR2’s release, the original Red Dead Redemption was my favorite game of all time and John Marston my favorite video game protagonist ever. As the endless months and weeks came closer to RDR2’s release, I couldn’t wait to reconnect with Marston. All I could think about was seeing my old friend and to have him be my fellow gang member and see how he was when he was in Dutch’s gang. TBH, I never really gave much thought to Arthur Morgan as the character that I’d be playing. I actually wrote Arthur off before even playing the game because I thought that there was no way that he would ever come close to surpassing Marston as my favorite protagonist. I’m so sorry that I did because after playing this masterpiece of a game, Arthur Morgan is now easily, unquestionably, and undoubtedly my favorite video game character/protagonist of of all time. Never before have I felt all of the raw emotions for a main character that I did until playing this beautiful game. Thank you, Rockstar, for making the past 8 years so worth the wait.
Team Nolex well...Micah is an asshole because of him, the gang broke up and because of him, Dutch went crazy so Arthur and others have died. At least now Hosea, Dutch and Arthur can go fishing again... R.I.P Van Der Linde-Gang

I played the game and cried at the end because Rockstar did an amazing job with making you care for the main protagonists. Great video keep up the amazing work 💯
In the end Arthur saw everything clearly. And he still wanted the best for everyone. Even Dutch. When he’s crying out his name right before he left with Micah you could see the desperation in Arthur. He wanted everyone to make it out. He wanted everything to be okay. I truly believe the only one person Arthur died hating was Micah. This game is a true masterpiece. It is one of my favorite all time games. Arthur is now one of my all time favorite characters.
This made me cry. It's so sad. I always get attached to the characters. A beautiful masterpiece, you made me feel all the feels. Rest in peace Arther Morgan. He will always be in my heart. No protagonist will ever beat him.
Dutch and Arthur's character development was the most captivating instance of writing i've ever seen. Speechless by the end of the game, truly incredible.
I think Arthur starts out dishonorably. But by the end he's honorable. I loved this story. Absolutely breathtakingly astounding. Every mission has a purpose and no mission feels like filler. Also absolutely brilliant edit, tribute, and evolution. It really shows the beauty of this game.
It’s crazy that Dutch would trust micha after a couple months but knew John and Arthur there whole life agent Milton was right about what he said Dutch is a snake 🐍
I'm not really an emotional person , but when it came to the end of chapter six , i lost it , I just cried throughout the whole part. Goddamn Rockstar made me cry when john got shot at RDR 1 , but this is a whole new level of videogame sadness.
Rockstar Games made a truly masterpiece. It’s not an actual video game but art. Thank you guys for 8 years of labor. It’s a truly gift for older generations.....
Good editing I thought I was gonna see the moment where he beats up people for money, got diagnosticated with TB which result on him seeing the world differently. The best scene for me, is when Arthur talks with the sister and look at her in the eyes saying he was scared, makes him so touching and human.
Him seeing Mary one last time and saying how bad he wants to run away with her. Made me hella sad man. Then especially at the very end when shes crying over his grave.
I've just not long completed the main story and I'm a blubbering mess. I've never cried playing video games or get so attached as I did with this game and Arthur Morgan. Masterpiece and this vid hits right in the feels
I don't understand how anyone can play Arthur as a bad man with low honour. Also don't understand how no one else caught the highly infectious tb off him.
Remember all those innocent cops you kill in the game during missions? The innocent police and army men doing their job, who have lives and wives. Arthur, John and all the rest of the gang were murdering thieves. To play with high honour imo is to create conflict between the character and what that character does in the game You cant have a good Arthur when youve just shot up the entirety of the police force
Criddy Arthur doesn’t regard the police the army and the government as good people, he’s seen what they’ve done to the natives so to me he’s able to justify killing them
Great editing and thanks for taking the time to put it together. Arthur Morgan one of the best charactors if not the most realistic/human protagonist. RIP Arthur Morgan smoke a cigar and pour out some moonshine for the boy.
Arthur Morgan... He was a good man. He done did what everyone else asked of em. In the end he knew... He realized loyalty to Dutch's standards of life didn't actually mean anything. He changed cause he finally saw things for what they were. In the end, Arthur understood what really mattered. He came to know he was a product of something maniacal and was only ever gonna amount to a being a shell of a person. He didn't know anything else. That's why he looked out for John and his family the way he did. At the end of his life... Arthur Morgan woke up. The parallel honestly ain't that different from what many of us are going through. We all follow what society tells us to follow. Many of us are empty and unfulfilled and yet we stay loyal and committed to living life in the matrix. Wake up y'all!
Dutch van der Linde, Micah Bell, Bill Williamson, Javier Escuella, Colm O'Driscoll, Agent Milton, Leviticus Cornwall, Sheriff Gray, Catherine Braithwaite, Angelo Bronte, Colonel Fussar, Colonel Favours, Colonel Allende, and finally Agent Ross can all rot in Hell for tormenting Arthur Morgan and John Marston!
When I was playing the game and got to the part after the train robbery where you can literally hear in Arthurs voice as he begs Dutch to go get Abigail and you can see him finally realize it’s over. That part fucked me up so much.
I feel like i was living with them.. Thats really amazing and so scary how was this game engaging you through it all.. Thank you rockstar.. Thank you Arthur Morgan... Oh my god my heart melt down when i played this game and spent an entire month litearly not playing or watching anything.
The way Dutch said “Insist?” And the way he talked to Arthur after that scared the shit out of me. It’s like the good man Dutch seemed to be at the beginning was fully gone now and nothing could change that
Absolute masterpiece! Only thing I miss that is the ''I always was a good thief'' quote from Abigail when they say says bye to Arthur. This is a truly sublime piece of work

Whoever this is, with the night I've had, thank you for making this. I've beaten Red Dead Redemption 2 a while ago & Arthur Morgan is one of my most beloved characters I've ever known. & I've been in a consistent denial that he shouldn't have died. But knowing his story & seeing this video, I now understand that, simply, "He lived his way. He died his way." & that's enough for me. Thank you again, PazyPlays.
Dear John, Sadie, Charles, and so on. Everyday, I woke up either to robbery or he Pinkertons. I killed men, beat up people, and got TB from doing it. I know Im Dying. Everyone else knows I'm dying. I liked John. I saved him. I liked Sadie. Saved her alot. Dutch was just making up things as he goes. Micah was either using him or telling him Me and John were rats. Well, I think I'll just stare at the sunset, And just pass on. Yours truly, Arthur Morgan.
Fantastic. Needed 2 additional beats though. The scene where Arthur says “I’m afraid” and the scene where he shakes down Mr.Downes. That would make this perfect.
What I loved best about red dead redemption 2 was how they did the story. Like this is who the characters are in the beginning and this who they become after all they've been through by the end. And depending on how you play arthur dies a bad man or good man. I always play high honor it just feels right trying to balance out all the killing and all the bad things that happens throughout the game with good deeds.

Arthur evolved the most as a character in Chapter 6
When Arthur died, I died.
RIP
great video.
@@TheChokfire Arthur wanted John to take care of his family, and John did it
@@TheChokfire bruh john went from leaving his wife, son, and gang for a year, also breaking a code, to building a house for his family, letting a friend live there, buying the ranch for Abigail, and tons more stuff.
Arthur has become my favorite protagonist of all time. I never thought I'd like him more than John.

I played the game and cried at the end because Rockstar did an amazing job with making you care for the main protagonists. Great video keep up the amazing work 💯
I was crying too and for a week after i finished the game I was sad all day thinking about the fact that he was dead
Glad you enjoyed it 😁👍
The love he shows for John and Jack always gets me. RDR1 wouldnt exist without Arthur
Dutch and Arthur's character development was the most captivating instance of writing i've ever seen. Speechless by the end of the game, truly incredible.
I think the most impressive thing about Arthur is the fact that even though we know he has to die, it still upsets us anyway
It’s crazy that Dutch would trust micha after a couple months but knew John and Arthur there whole life agent Milton was right about what he said Dutch is a snake 🐍
when John had said '' You are my brother '' i cried
Arthur: "I know"
"I tried...In the end.. I did.."
I was crying so hard at the end of chapter 6 i couldn't even appreciate Arthur's last moment watching the the sunrise 🤧
I'm not really an emotional person , but when it came to the end of chapter six , i lost it , I just cried throughout the whole part. Goddamn Rockstar made me cry when john got shot at RDR 1 , but this is a whole new level of videogame sadness.
The only moment I cried was when Arthur’s horse died and he said “Thank You”
RusxOmega I FUCKING BROKE DOWN
Rockstar Games made a truly masterpiece. It’s not an actual video game but art. Thank you guys for 8 years of labor. It’s a truly gift for older generations.....
I didn't cry I smile because Arthur found redemption

I thought I was gonna see the moment where he beats up people for money, got diagnosticated with TB which result on him seeing the world differently.
The best scene for me, is when Arthur talks with the sister and look at her in the eyes saying he was scared, makes him so touching and human.
Him seeing Mary one last time and saying how bad he wants to run away with her. Made me hella sad man. Then especially at the very end when shes crying over his grave.
that's like the best thing I saw on RUclips this year
Very kind of you, glad you liked it!! 👍
I played with the highest honor but will replay the exact opposite for curiousity. Good Arthur is best Arthur
Remember all those innocent cops you kill in the game during missions? The innocent police and army men doing their job, who have lives and wives. Arthur, John and all the rest of the gang were murdering thieves. To play with high honour imo is to create conflict between the character and what that character does in the game
You cant have a good Arthur when youve just shot up the entirety of the police force
@@Criddy420 You absolutely can. He may do bad things but he has morals. Its supposed to be a gray area, nothings black and white in good stories.
@@xxDirtyWashxx i dont know. Morals and honour, then murdering innocent cops. Doesnt make sense
Criddy Arthur doesn’t regard the police the army and the government as good people, he’s seen what they’ve done to the natives so to me he’s able to justify killing them
Damn this was really well done and edited.
30 year old grown man reduced to tears. RIP Arthur Morgan.
Arthur the best and fastest gun drawer of all time
Arthur lived like an outlaw...
But died as a hero...
Great editing and thanks for taking the time to put it together. Arthur Morgan one of the best charactors if not the most realistic/human protagonist. RIP Arthur Morgan smoke a cigar and pour out some moonshine for the boy.
Arthur is the first character that I played and make me cry. He deserves the sunset.

We will miss you Arthur
Oh it’s gonna be almost impossible to top this story in a video game! Best thing I’ve ever seen on my tv screen
The character evolution that Arthur had was the best in the history of videogames.
This is bye far still the best red dead video on the internet....only beaten bye the game itself
When I was playing the game and got to the part after the train robbery where you can literally hear in Arthurs voice as he begs Dutch to go get Abigail and you can see him finally realize it’s over. That part fucked me up so much.
7:03. They won't do anything to her, ME AND THE BOYS KNOW!
How didn't I realise that Micah just said he knows Milton. Omg...

Best tribute I’ve seen for Arthur, truly one of best characters in video game history if not THE greatest, well done.

This is beautiful. Out of all the videos involving this game, this is probably my favorite
Here's a sad Arthur Morgan Tribute- ruclips.net/video/uiYcLrXWaMA/видео.html
The way Dutch said “Insist?” And the way he talked to Arthur after that scared the shit out of me. It’s like the good man Dutch seemed to be at the beginning was fully gone now and nothing could change that
Best tribute I have ever seem.
Absolute masterpiece! Only thing I miss that is the ''I always was a good thief'' quote from Abigail when they say says bye to Arthur. This is a truly sublime piece of work
Oh wow, thank you so much for the kind comment, I actually made a longer extended edit of this since people enjoyed it. So if you get chance check it out! Hope you enjoy! ruclips.net/video/grXtR8wE-Mc/видео.html

This is the best video I’ve seen. I think you have to play it through at least twice just to really see it all. Most excellent..
Arthur is the best video game protagonist in history thus far. But god damn Sadie changed even more and was down right awesome in the Epilogue. I would buy a game of just her running protection in South America.
Excellent video my friend, epic. What a character and game. Its amazing how much impact Arthur has on us. Amazing no doubt.
Much appreciated!! Thanks and yeah, Arthur Morgan was/is an awesome character! Can't wait to do it all again on PC when Rockstar announce it! :)

Sadie Adler is probably my next favorite character after Arthur. She was written exceptionally well. Other devs could take notes from her
Whoever this is, with the night I've had, thank you for making this.

I say we should honor Arthur Morgan by holding a funeral. Never have I been more attached to a character. John was close in rdr1, but Arthur.... damn
I thought about doing a tribute night... all of the tributes in a row!! 😃👍
Micah was either using him or telling him
Me and John were rats. Well, I think I'll just stare at the sunset,
And just pass on.
Yours truly, Arthur Morgan.
Fantastic. Needed 2 additional beats though. The scene where Arthur says “I’m afraid” and the scene where he shakes down Mr.Downes. That would make this perfect.
Dude you’re awesome 👏
What I loved best about red dead redemption 2 was how they did the story. Like this is who the characters are in the beginning and this who they become after all they've been through by the end. And depending on how you play arthur dies a bad man or good man. I always play high honor it just feels right trying to balance out all the killing and all the bad things that happens throughout the game with good deeds.
