Best ending is to just stay in chapter two and leave Micah in jail.

lennys espacialy cose even when shoting both guys the magic fliing shotgun still gets lenny
The 2 of them just get killed and the game just carried on like nothing happened. Especially since the Sean and Lenny were 2 of the most likeable characters in the gang
that's the point, Lenny's death represents that Arthur had no time to say goodbye

I do, This time following dutch as he builds the gang
I do, but I would like a complete new story, I feel like the "Redemption" saga is perfect as it is, the story of the Van Der Linde gang is finished (there's Jack Marston, as the only remaining member - if you counted him as one - alive, but I don't care for him that much). So... either a Red Dead Revolver II (reprising the story of Red) or a complete new saga called "Red Dead [something-else]".
Rockstar should make the third game with Sadie or Charles as the protagonist.

I thinks it sad that Pierson is one of the only guys that survived the gang. He looks so depressed by himself.
It happens, he misses the gang and the outlaw life. They were family and now that he left and settled down he uses the photo to remember how things were before everything fell apart and he felt whole again. He loves his life but misses the adventure and excitement that came with rolling with outlaws. It's like an office worker that used to be punk rock with his friends in high school before disbanding for college and such
Forgot to include that the Pinkertons found Strauss and beat him to death essentially. He never said a word about the gang.

I love how Javier never aims his gun at John or Arthur, really shows his inner conflict as he sides with Dutch.
That opening with Pearson was so adorable man, this gang was a family for a while and they all deserved to live the lives they wanted :(

@@sallycastillo4981 Micah was already in Dutch's ear, after all Micah convinced Dutch to rob the boat in Blackwater whilst Hosea tried to convince Dutch not to do it but to no avail. Hosea was keeping things together but if he had survived Saint Denis sooner or later him and Dutch would come to blows, if you keep an eye out on the campsites especially when they're in Mountains you'll notice that Dutch and Hosea argue a lot.

I think the most poetic thing is Dutch had his clarity moment before his fall in RDR1 where he went to the mountain to kill Micah. He even tells John "I'm here for the same reason as you." To kill Micah. Dutch kills the person who got a lot of his friends killed.
Ultimately by that point Dutch realized Micah was the rat but there was nothing to mend or fix by that point with the remaining survivors. Hence why he just doesn't say anything to John and just walks away. Dutch knew he's the one who fucked everything up. It's just by Rdr1 he stoops to his lowest point with nothing to go for anymore.

If you think about it, the last remaining former Van Der Linde members that are still alive/not captured are Jack, Sadie, Charles, Pearson, Tilly, Josiah and Swanson. Milton and Ross said they're gonna kill them all and they failed.

With the exception of Charles and Sadie, the survivors didn't commit any real crimes besides run with the gang. So I guess they thought that they weren't going to cause trouble while the other gang members are still at large.
The wedding scene brings me on the verge of tears, I'm so happy that, in that moment, they're happy. They're the happiest they've ever been in so long after all the fighting and tragedy. Maybe they didn't get to hold onto it forever, but at least they were given the chance to be happy for a little while because of the sacrifices Arthur and all of the good gang members made in attempt to save them all.

3: A little prequel to RDR2 where you play as Hosea starting up the gang with Dutch and meeting Arthur!

This video isn't entirely accurate (in my mind at least). Assuming you played honourably, Arthur is left dying on the mountain watching the sunrise. He then wakes up the next day feeling a bit better - confused, he goes to the doctors and found he was misdiagnosed. That cough? Just a nasty 19th century style chest infection, some medicine will take care of that. The red blotchy skin? Iron deficiency - when ones diet consists entirely of eating plants found across the wilderness, this isn't surprising. The eyes though, surely THAT'S got to be from the TB... nope, Arthur was just under a lot of stress lately. A few days rest, and Arthur is all better, and he goes off to retire with Mary. That was the actual ending.
Meanwhile, several years later, John is tasked by the government to take down some "members" of his former gang. See, Dutch, Javier and Bill all hired body doubles due to the paranoia and it's actually them that John goes after. John completes his duties, returns to Beechers Hope with his now returned family and as we all know... the game ends there. The end. You can turn off your console after that, there's just a bunch of farming missions and nothing else - NOTHING ELSE! They all live happily ever after. And it turns out Uncle really did have lumbago, but that gets better as well.
Dutch becomes a mango farmer in Tahiti.
Javier becomes a famous Mexican troubadour.
Bill becomes the face of a brand of hair pomade.
And Micah? Micah's dead. Fuck Micah.

Bill and Javier's fate was actually being chased down by John in Mexico
and John's fate is to be gunned down by the Government, but that's in RDR1

Hosea’s death was the one who hit me the hardest he was my favourite one in the gang because he was the only one that didn’t listen too Dutch and actually wanted peace and too stop robbing and killing but he still went with him because he was loyal to the gang and in the end it was Dutch that got him killed for not listening to hosea

The reverend is a very underrated moment within the game for me.
I love he is clean by the end of the game.
Gaining some clarity and giving Arthur some words to think about.
True. However honestly, if u complete a specific side mission, u speak to a nun instead of the reverend, and that cutscene is way better.
I wish it was reverend that made the speech instead of the nun, though it wouldn’t fit his character.
Charles mentioned that Strauss died after not revealing information when interrogated by the Pinkertons.

How about a Sequel, that takes places after RDR1, called "Red Dead Redemption: Aftermath" or something.
The story would be about Jack (around 50 years old at this time) and how he is "stuck" in the old wild west sort of living. The year would be something like 1940, and everone would look down upon Jack and his way of living. The guvernment want his land (John's old farm) and when they just cant get Jack to sell it... They try to take him out.
It would be a fight between the good old wild west, and the more modern world!

Honestly, this game was masterpiece. I loved all characters. Even Micah. I hated his guts way before ending, but he was written amazingly.
And in general, game made me cry in few points. hardest for me was Arthurs last ride to camp. I was soaking in tears.
my idea is how about a different prospective and play has a Pinkerton Agent/s Hunting outlaws. Or create your own gang and you have to recruit members to the gang, who have different abilities and you have to assign them to jobs like,cook,camp guard,Hunter etc. and you can rob any building in game and arrange with the gang robberies. or send Gang members to do multiple robberies whilst you go do things. Also fully customisable gang from outfits to weapon layouts.Also camp customisable.

The worst part about Molly's death is she never did tell on the Gang. When you go get Abigail back from the Pinkertons with Sadie he says that he couldn't get Molly to talk but Micah did.

Realized arthur, javier and Charles were the only ones to stop to look and kinda check on arthur, and stay for Lennie's death.
Seeing as (almost) everybody dies and their fates can be guessed from playing RDR1, I am currently approaching RDR2 as a guy who's destined to die, but will make the best of it for the others. That would be the saving grace of my playthrough, as, otherwise, it'd all feel meaningless.

Personally I think Micah sold them out before Blackwater as literally every robbery involving him has a massive amount of Pinkerton's and he camped separately from the gang for random periods of time.

Lenny had one of the saddest deaths in the game. Normally when you play a video game and see the main character making a friend, you can sometimes tell his friend might be killed off later on.
Yet for reason Lenny felt different, Arthur was the Dutch to Lenny and seeing him be killed felt like watching a father losing his son.
Seans death is so painful to watch, this character we’ve gotten to know and love not even given a last sentence

Honestly I wish there were a bit more upbeat moments like at the first camp, more side missions of just Arthur hanging out with the gang. It just felt so wholesome, I love when they all gather together to sing around the campfire and get on the piss. It’s actually really sad because the whole black water thing is what fucked them up and made everything so hard. Whenever you hear them talk about before that it just sounds like they had a lot of good times Karen says multiple times about how it used to feel like a big party but now everything’s changed. I would love another game set as a young Arthur when he first joins the gang. It would be so cool to be able to see how the gang first started out and you could see Arthur grow throughout the story, then it ends after the black water heist and leads onto rdr2, i would love that.

If you're more honorable by the end of the game you won't get an ending where Micah shoots him. Micah will run away and Arthur will die up on the cliff watching the sun rise.

@@wavytheonly In my ending I had high honor and I went for the money which led to a knife fight. Micah runs, Dutch leaves, and Arthur succumbs to his wounds, but he sees the sunset. In my opinion, THAT is the best ending of the game. By going after the money, he brings it out into the open where the Pinkertons are still around which means Micah and Dutch would not have time to go back for it like what was planned. The money is lost to the pinkertons and Dutch and Micah have nothing to fall back on except the money from Blackwater.

So the money is not lost + Arthur and John have a better goodby scene (Arthur calls John his brother and gives him some advise instead of a simple good luck). So the best ending in my opinion is help John get away with high honour where you die on the top of the mountain/cliff which John or someone else later states that that is the place where Arthur wanted to die.
Also your interaction with the reverend is different be talk about how your a fighter if you’re bad but if your good he talks about how your bad but your more good then bad
The ending for me was Arthur dying from tuberculosis after the fight, both Dutch and Micah have run off leaving him to breathe his last breaths on a rock watching the sunrise.

I think that only happens if you and your horse are good friends. I had a beautiful war horse called strawberry and I didn't want it to die, so I did the last mission with the horse you use to go back to Shady Bell un chapter 6
